“Charming farmhouse in peaceful rural setting”

Reviewed 13 Jun 2016

My extended family and I recently stayed at this charming farmhouse during my son's graduation weekend at Dartmouth. While others struggled to find space in area hotels and restaurants, we had relaxing family dinners in this traditional farmhouse a short drive away from Dartmouth. The farmhouse itself is filled with family mementos that make it feel more like you're visiting than renting. My family was also quite intrigued by the cows in the neighboring fields -- who cooperated in turn by standing close by the fence for our viewing pleasure (or was it theirs?). Watching them was always entertaining. Kitchen was fully equipped and we found everything we needed in the house. Indeed, the farmhouse was exactly as advertised and the owner was helpful and responsive throughout. All in all, a wonderful stay and we would happily return for another visit.

Owner's reply: Great to have Canadian visitors ... The cows have enormous curiosity and are friendly...as owners, we love having visitors who appreciate the house and setting as much as we do...thanks for being careful occupants! Ailsa Steinert
