Fantastic stay at Herrick House

A lovely place to stay with everything you need for a relaxed, comfortable vacation. Lovely atmosphere. Outstanding to have all this space and privacy. Would like to stay two weeks next year.

Quaint, neat place to stay

My sister stayed at Herrick House for the greater part of 2 weeks when we were in New York for genealogy research of our mother's family. It was a great setting for what we were doing. At the end of a day when we had done a lot of "digging" in history, it seemed the perfect setting to come back to besides feeling like a home away from home. The house has been renovated but has kept an old home feel. Not perfect but well done in an imperfect way (it has an old smell). We were able to cook our own meals when we wanted, play our instruments and not disturb the person in the next motel room, read, knit, watch a movie (on our own device), take a walk in the beautiful countryside, sit our on the porch and have breakfast, walk to the barn and see the horse. Such a great place to stay in a beautiful part of the world. We'd recommend it and would stay there again.
Mother, Daughter weekend

My daughter and my stay at the Herrick House was very relaxing. We came to New York to get away for a long weekend to rest and re-coop. I believe we accomplished what we set out for but unfortunately could not stay longer. The house was very quaint and wonderful. The property and surrounding area was great, the view from the front of the house overlooking a large farm was fantastic! I love the country and the old farmhouses and barns. We went into town for dinner and attended the Garden Party in Sharon Springs. We took a drive through some of the other surrounding villages. The Herrick House is the perfect location to be able to spend time there or seeing the sites of the area. The McMahons were fabulous hosts and Diane is just awesome!! Look forward to visiting again.
