About the area

Kingsport is located in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, a few miles east of Canning, just 20 mins from town and the 101. It is on the west side of the Minas Basin. An earlier name was Indian Point, later changed to Oak Point due to the number of oak trees that grew along the bank of the south side of the lower road, leading to the wharf. The name was again changed to Kingsport, as it was the only port in Kings County. Nearby attractions include; restaurants, shopping, agri-tourism, wineries, theatre, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, golf, beachcombing, sightseeing and more!

“Picture Perfect”

Reviewed 30 Aug 2013

Wonderful seaside cottage with the most amazing view of the Bay of Fundy and the incoming/outgoing tides. Bonus - not in a tourist trap area. We were able to take the footpath at the end of the road down and walk on the ocean floor at low tide. Took lots of pictures, but they just can't capture how beautiful it is. The town of Wolfville, only 20 minutes away had everything we needed. Also, had a wonderful last night dinner at The Blomndon Inn - gorgeous restored old home with fabulous gardens - food and service were fantastic.

Owner's reply: Thanks Sirpa, hope to have you again sometime!

“Clean, beautiful view, and well stocked”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2013

This was a perfect cottage, it was very tidy, with a beautiful view and all the things you need. This cottage was also in a great location, close to the beach, local vineyards, and other attractions. We loved celebrating our anniversary here, and can't wait to return!!

Owner's reply: So glad you enjoyed it - come back anytime! :)

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We stayed at this lovely cottage earlier this summer and it was perfect! Everything we needed was within a 10 minute drive and the sense of community was refreshing. The cottage itself was well equipped and relaxing, we enjoyed the private access to the beach and even swam in the ocean.

Great value - can't wait to return to this little slice of heaven in NS!
