Lovely home but disappointing view!

We found the home as advertised in the listing. However, we did feel there was a bit of misrepresentation of the view of the ocean and access to it. The pictures appear to have been taken years before the house across the street was built and the vegetation had grown up. In the pictures, the walk to the beach appears to be right outside the door rather than 2 driveways down & across the street. The pictures also led you to believe that there is an unobstructed view of the beach/ocean where actually you could only see that from the upstairs front master bedroom balcony. We would suggest you update your pictures to represent 2014/15. As nice as the house is, if we had known the true location of the beach/ocean, we would not have rented the house.

Where do I start? Our family loves the beach and what better place to stay than right on the beach! This house has everything you could ever wish for - all home comforts, a great kitchen and amazing space and bedrooms - so comfortable. Beach chairs, beach towels and enough bikes for the whole family to enjoy together. The location was so perfect, it was like having our own beach. Real peace and quiet when needed - and yet just five minutes drive to the Port - with so many great restaurants - and live music. This really is a magical and restful location. We all had such a memorable time - thank you. we will be back next year!!

It can be a challenge planning a vacation for a family of 5 to a place never before visited. How do you find the perfect spot so everyone is happy with the physical accommodations, amenities, activities, and a quiet place to relax after a full day? We went to Cape Canaveral/Cocoa Beach with the intent of providing our 3 young adult sons with access to great surfing and fishing. Of course, my husband and I had a hidden agenda of rest, relaxation, and quality family time. My decision to stay at this house came with my very first phone call to Linn. She immediately answered the phone! She was the owner and I got to talk to her personally on my very first attempt at contact! No rental agent, no voice mail, no playing phone tag. I was impressed with the time she spent with me, answering all questions, discussing what type of vacation we were planning, and explaining how her beach home could meet our needs. She was in no rush to "book" us and was considerate of all my concerns. I felt like I was talking to a close friend. I was sold. She is a real sweetheart who is truly interested in the pleasure of her guests. As soon as we entered the house I knew I had made the right decision. Spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated in a tropical style, the house has a charm all its own. Large bedrooms, closet space to accommodate everything, comfy beds, lots of bath and beach towels, and a great kitchen fully equipped with everything we could need. There was lots of space and room to move! TV, Wi-fi, telephone! A book library for casual reading and a ton of DVDs! And that precious "beach book" with hints, tips, and recommendations for everything in the area! Also, lots of relaxing outside furniture, lounge chairs, and beach chairs! The beach is right in front of the house with great swimming and gorgeous sunsets! But the very best part of the house is that large upstairs porch overlooking the ocean. It was tough for my family to decide whether to bother going out to eat or stay home in this magical place, grilling those fantastic steaks and veggies from Cape Canaveral Meats (yum!), making homemade salsa with local produce, then playing cards and games on the porch until the wee hours. Then get up in the morning and have breakfast and coffee in Cocoa Beach! Linn stayed in contact with us the whole time by phone and email when needed. I have SO much more to write about the wonderful SERVICE!
I had the pleasure of staying at this beachside home earlier this year and I have to say that I was not disappointed! Everything was just as described. The beach was literally just feet away. The house was huge, with what looked to be a brand new big-screen TV and plenty of kitchen supplies were on hand to cook our own meals, saving the cost of going out every night. In the evening, we'd watch the sun go down and then the kids played Wii while we sipped cold drinks on the patio. The house was very comfortable with new bedding on all the beds. The bathrooms were average size and the house was very clean.
It was so nice to be close to "home" while at the beach. If one of us needed a bathroom or just to get out of the sun for a bit, the house was right there. The house is plenty big and we had a lot of space to spread out.
You can't go wrong with this house. The owners provide all sorts of small extras like a library of books, board games, binoculars for bird watching or rocket watching if you're lucky! Speaking of we did do a break away day from the beach and headed up to the Kennedy Space Center (about a 15 minute drive) and I must say that I was much more impressed than I had planned to be. We ended up spending the entire day there as the kids were having a blast!
I recommend this house for young and old, traveling with family or just as a couple. It's the same price as a local hotel with much more amenities and privacy! What an incredible time my family and I had while staying here. We will be back again next year! Thank you Tom and Lynn!
We had an excellent visit when staying at this beach house. We stayed on the beach 24/7 thanks to the location of the house and the use of the house's beach chairs and whatnot. Good stay.
I'm not sure where to start. My husband and I stayed at this home this past week. It was wonderful! The beach was right there and very spacious and not crowded. The master bedroom bed was to die for! Soft and very comfortable! We woke every morning to the sun peering in and the site of the ocean.
Kitchen was average but was well equipped and functional. My sister and her kids came over from Tampa for a night and had a great time. All of the bedrooms were prepared for guests and we had a really nice time.
