Great Family Vila

August 2, 2015

We were thrilled with our rental of Aquamarine Shores. Beautiful as well as comfortable. Nicely decorated and furnished with everything you needed for a great stay. We arrived on Saturday and it rained constantly until Tuesday, then it was off and on the remainder of our stay. , so the villa was our refuge . Blessed and grateful

We lived for one week in this butieful home. We were a family of six and we had a terrific time in this fantastic villa. It was clean and very spaceious. We really appriciated the welcome tray from the housekeeper. She helped us with everything you might need. The house is located so you easy can drive to the fantastic beaches of Sanibel/ Captiva or Fort Myers. We had a really good time in the shoppingoutlets and the vist to the waterpark was fun for the children. We had a very nice time by the poolside and cosy dinners in the evenings. The kids also enjoyed the little turtle who lived nearby the dock. We can really recommened this loveley villa and the owner who has been very helpful.

Owner's reply:

Thank you so much for that wonderful review. I am happy to hear that you felt that our villa was very spacious, even for a family of six. And also that you found the home conveniently located for area beaches, outlet shopping and other activities. We hope that you will come back and visit us again soon!

After a 24 hour drive down, plus getting slightly lost trying to find the right street (the property manager was easy to reach and directed us when our GPS failed miserably,) we pulled up to a pretty, picturesque property. We opened the front door and could not believe our eyes. The first words out of everyone's mouth were, "This was totally worth it." The home is beautifully decorated. It's airy and spacious with amazing backyard views from nearly every room. The furniture is very comfortable (couches in particular) and just made us feel relaxed at all times. We are a family with four young children, so we spent most of our days swimming in the pool and fishing in the canal behind the house. The pool is small, but was fine for our family (for adults, it's more of a "cooling off" pool than a "swim around" pool. It was very comfortable for the adults and the perfect size for young kids to swim around.) We loved our vacation and have absolutely no complaints. John, the owner, was fantastic and easy to work with. Ingrid, the property manager, is close by and easily accessible when we had questions. They've really made sure there are no worries while there. We are not new to renting vacation homes (our family has been renting them over the past 10 or so years,) and I can confidently say that this is one of the nicest homes I have ever stayed in. We went off season, so the price was phenomenal, but even during high tourist season I'd say this home is well worth the money. Thanks for such a lovely stay! We've already recommended the property to multiple friends and family (especially those who are able to fly down instead ;)

Excellent Vacation Home

June 17, 2012

My sister and I recently stayed at this lovely home for a week. First of all the price to rent this home is amazing considering you stay in a wonderful home complete with your own private pool. You have all the conviencies of home complete with a Margarita Maker. Our days were spent relaxing on the covered lanai on comfortable patio furniture and splashing in the cool refreshing pool. You can sit on the screened lanai under the gently blowing fans looking out over the beautifully landscaped yard or go down to the dock and sit at the table or glider and watch boats go down the canal. After our full days enjoying the pool we dined at local restuarants based on suggestions and tips so graciously provided by Mr. Meyer's the owner. He will email you groupons for local attractions and offered many suggestions for shopping and dining. He goes above and beyond to help make your vacation. In the evening you can watch movies in the large family room with comfortable sofas on the flat screen TV. Then off to bed in comfortable bed with flat screen TV in master and guest bedrooms. The home is beautifully decorated an and is even prettier than the pictures. The home is located so within 2 blocks of a Publix grocery store. This is a jewel of a vacation site and we can't wait to visit again soon.

John Meyer

Owner's reply:

Thank you so much Denise, and you, your sister and muffin are welcome back any time. I am so glad that you had a wonderful, relaxing time at our villa. And that you found the coupons for 50% off local area activities, attractions and restaurants useful (we have gotten great feedback from our guests on these). It is so nice and heart-warming to hear back from guests that they appreciate the little extras that we try to provide and that's what makes it all worthwhile. It's your vacation, and I want to do what I can to see that you enjoy it and have a memorable time!

Our Family really enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home on our trip to Cape Coral. Upon arrival we couldn’t believe our eyes when we entered your home and seen the lanai and pool area through the sliding glass doors, it was so inviting and relaxation came over us right at that moment. Your home was so clean and impeccably decorated and in such good taste. Our first night’s sleep was wonderful as we all loved the comfy beds and pillows. We took advantage of all that Cape Coral and surrounding areas has to offer. We had dinner at Rumrunner’s one night and lunch at The Joint” located at Cape Harbor Marina which featured a very interesting avenue of quaint little shops in which we enjoyed that afternoon. We also had dinner at “The Deck” located at Burnt Store Marina followed by a sunset cruise on the Calusa Queen. This trip for us was a life changing experience because my husband and I have already decided to move down here and my parents are also giving it a great deal of thought after falling in love with beautiful Cape Coral, Florida. Thank you John and Carole, we really enjoyed your home and will highly recommend it to all our friends and family.

Awesome vacation home away from home

April 22, 2012

This had to be one of the nicest vacations we have ever taken. The house was absolutely gorgeous and very homey. It was much bigger than expected. There are sliding glass doors in several of the rooms, including the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a high bed, comfortable mattress, and huge bathroom with one of the biggest showers I have ever seen!. The home is situated on a canal and the kids had a blast catching jellyfish in the net. The pool was great to be able to cool off after a long day of tanning. It was just like it was described and more. My family loved it, and we would definitely recommend it to our friends!

John Meyer

Owner's reply:

Thank you for those kind words Kim. That is exactly the kind of experience we are hoping to provide to our guests. We want our visitors to fell totally at home and to be surprised by the size of our villa, which has plenty of room for any family to stretch out and not feel cramped. Glad to hear that you and your family had a wonderful time and we hope to see you back in the future.

This is the second time we have rented this beautiful home in Cape Coral, Florida. That tells you we liked it a lot the first time ! It is clean, large and very nicely furnished. It is located on a canal as well as having a spa type pool in the lanai area. This large lanai area with pool has a covered patio area (well furnished) and is one of our favorite places to be when we visit. In terms of location, the home is very close to Sanibel Island, Pine Island and a host of area restaurants, beaches, grocery store, Target, etc are all very convenient. Also the traffic is not too bad and getting around is quite easy which is a real plus. We have had two great experences renting this house. It also helped this year when at least half of the days were were 75 degrees plus and sunny ! I would recommend this rental to anyone. The owner and local property manager are very helpful and easy to work with.

Thank you so much for the kind words Cold Iowa People, and we always look forward to your visit with us. I am glad that you had a wonderful time again this year as well, and we look forward to your return visit with us next year. You are always welcome in our villa!

Our third time of staying in Cape Coral and by far the best. Dealing with John and Ingrid was easy, all questions answered very quickly and nothing was too much trouble for them. The property boasts an excellent location, easy access to local amenities with a Publix just two minutes away. The local area boasts marinas with bars and restaurants where you can relax and watch the wildlife pass you by, or just a little further afield you can enjoy the likes of Fort Myers Beach to the south (rum runners at 'Top of the Mast' are my wifes favourite) or Venice beach to the north (just about anything at Sharky's is also her favourite there)! There are so many wonderful beaches and placed to explore in the area, driving a little further afield you can also see Manatees with Captain Bob or a day out in Busch gardens.

Six of us stayed in the house for 5 night and loved it. Spacious, tastefully decorated will all the amenities one can think of. We especially enjoyed the lanai and pool area; We fished in the canal off the dock and even caught and released a fish. There are plenty of brochures and information about the area attractions and restaurants in the house. Even beach towels, chairs and umbrellas are provided. John and Ingrid where very flexible, accommodating and have made our stay very enjoyable. Thanks to John's tips, we've visited a nice local beach and went on shark fishing "expedition". We will definitely rent this house again.

Recent Vacation 5/5 stars

Date of Stay: 01/30/12 Review Submitted: 02/18/12

My family and I just returned from a wonderful vacation at this exceptional villa in Cape Coral. The villa was fully furnished, meticulously clean and included everything we needed to completely relax and enjoy ourselves. The photos of the furnishings and descriptions of the villa’s amenities were both very accurate, as was the overall description of the property. Yet, the villa was even more beautiful than the photographs could depict. Prior to our arrival the owners were extremely helpful in making the entire rental process very easy. Additionally, they provided an abundance of information on both the villa and numerous area attractions. In fact, they were so friendly and helpful, that when we arrived in Cape Coral to start our vacation, it seemed like we were staying at the home of good friends. Conveniently located in SW Cape Coral, it was an easy drive to the area beaches on Sanibel Island as well as Fort Myers Beach. We had lots of fun shelling on these beaches while enjoying the surf, sunshine and 80 degree weather. We played golf at two of the area’s golf courses, dined at several fine restaurants and spent some time shopping. Some members of our family went deep sea fishing and caught a number of fish during their excursion. On other days we enjoyed the villa’s screened in lanai and pool that overlooked the canal that has Gulf access for boaters. We most highly recommend this villa for families and vacationers looking to enjoy the finest beaches and area attractions in SW Florida. The villa exceeded our expectations and provided our family with a very comfortable, relaxing and special vacation.

Owner response:Wow! I don't know what I could add, except to say it was a pleasure having you at our home and you are very warmly welcomed back anytime.

This vacation villa right on the canal is the perfect place to relax and immerse yourself in the warmth and beauty of the Florida sunshine- whether you are on the go or just want to kick back you will have everything you need at your fingertips to make you feel at home. I remember swimming in the pool in the morning looking at the sun just beginning to peak, and also in the evening looking at the glorious sunset. The bedrooms are lovely and have big comfortable beds with lots of pillows. Also for going out in the evenings, you will be close to many great restaurants, malls, movies. The kitchen is big and open with lots of room -- beautiful decor in the entire home. We rented a boat and it was so convenient to have the boat lift. My husband even fished off the dock there too. It was such a wonderful experience, so calming and peaceful and just breathtaking to ride through the canal. We loved this home and after two weeks, and felt like we belonged there! We had a great time at this home in January of 2011. We were very pleased with the improvement, including features, furnishings and equipment-- all very nice !! All photos provided in the ad. were realistic and we were more than impressed. Home is reasonable driving distance to everything we needed or wanted to see and traffic is not too bad. We went out to Sanibel / Captiva Islands a couple of different times. The Green Flash on Captiva Island has really good food and a mens bathroom that cannot be described-- you have to see !! The best seafood soup in the "world" is at Captain Cons on the North end of Pine Island. It is a small old building, but don't be fooled. We also drove to Gasparilla Island/ Boca Grande. This is a 50 mile drive, but pristine aqua water, expansive beach and not as commercialized as Sanibel -- one of my favorites. The Edison / Ford museum in Fort Meyers is also pretty neat for the history buffs. The Banyon tree alone is worth the price of admission. We also took a day trip down to Naples and Marco Island. Pretty impressive homes/mansions down threre ! Our experiience was just great, The home owner was great to dealing with and the property manager in Cape Coral also very nice and helpful. I've thought about it and can't think of one thing to complain about !! I would recommned highly this rental to anyone.

Hi John, (Feb 2011)

I think we only used the pool twice. The cover was on and we replaced it when we were through using it. I don't know what temp. it was, but it was very comfortable to enter which was nice.

I can't really think of anything to improve in the house. We loved the covered patio area in the lanai and even sat out there a couple of times when it was raining but the temps. were nice.

Ps -- I forgot to mention and thank you for the nice bottle of wine on the center island when we arrived. Nice touch. .

LOVELY HOME!!!!! We have been here 1 month already and are staying for a second! Very nicely decorated and well equipped. The furnishings are very comfortable and the decor is bright, relaxing and very inviting! Home is very clean and well-maintained. Close to shopping malls, groceries, retaurants, etc.... Great Location! Enjoy relaxing on the lanai, which is also nicely furnished and VERY relaxing, Bar-B-Quing and lounging in the pool. We even have a pair of ducks that have made the backyard their second home and sometimes spend the day lounging in the back garden under the palm trees looking over the boat canal. The fenced backyard is an added plus People and very pet friendly! Owners have been very friendly and accomodating. Are considering a third months stay! Thanks for opening up your lovely home to us!
