About the area

Cape Coral, located by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, is a real paradise. The climate is very pleasant not only in the winter. Even in the summer, you can feel very well. Florida has an average of 330 sunny days a year. The temperatures in the fall don’t drop under 20 - 23°. In the midsummer, the temperatures are between 28 - 35°. A light breeze crosses, however, the Gulf of Mexico. In front of Cape Coral, there are hundreds of inhabited and non-inhabited Islands.

“Great Location with a few points to note”

Reviewed 10 Mar 2017

Good things - This is a beautiful house in a great location - Relatively easy rental process, although all money is due in Euro so you’ll have to either head to the bank for a wire transfer or use the conversion tool on PayPal. (You’ll be paying for the conversion fees, even through Paypal says the recipient will cover them – they come out of your rental deposit at the end.) - Personable local representative who provided local restaurant recommendations upon request. Unexpected Surprises - Be aware that the property does not provide anything – even toilet paper, tissues or trashbags. You’ll need to go to the store and buy your own if the previous renter hasn’t purchased and left any behind. - Know that you’ll be charged for all electricity and gas usage. (The hot tub costs money each time you heat it, as does the pool. We were quoted around $80/day to heat the pool. If you don’t pay the $80/day, your pool isn’t heated like the listing says.) - You’d better be ready when they come to the house to welcome you and for the check out process. The representative arrived before the official check out time and said they couldn’t come back closer to the actual time. (Our group was still packing so one member of our party was packing her underwear as someone walked through. Not exactly a preferred situation.) - You’ll be meeting a lot of people throughout your stay – the gardener, the lawn care team, the pool guy. They don’t tell you that they’re there either. You just look out your window and see someone strange standing on the pool deck. (It also takes a long time for them to do their work, so expect them to stay for the day.)
