Nice Vacation rental property

December 7, 2014

Older home and nice layout, great pool and dock area. Set up for large groups, lots of amenities. The master bedroom has a gym and spacious shower and bath. The owners just purchased the property a couple of years ago, and are getting it back to top condition. A few minor things did not work as expected but overall a very nice property. In a very Located in a very nice neighborhood and close to many good restaurants and shopping. good fishing from the dock. We would rent it again.

Nov. 2016. 5 Stars! Fabulous Water!
The nicest shower I have every been in. You can stand in the shower during the day and no one can see in and watch boats go by on the canal. Absolutely spectacular. The house has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. Very quite neighborhood and the sound from the various waterfalls is wonderful.

5 of 5 starsReviewed yesterday for a stay in June 2016
The views were absolutely gorgeous, from the the time you woke up in the morning with having a full view of the canal & palm trees till the time you seen the sunset "breathtaking". The house had everything you would need in a home with beautiful palms on the property, awesome kitchen and a pool with a hot tub, too include a kitchen outdoors , grilling steaks and asparagus. I felt so at peace in such a serene environment, this home far exceeded our expectations.
So much to explore in Cape Coral itself, and then you have Sanibel Island with it's beautiful seashells on the beach and shopping, Fort Meyer's beach, which I found sand dollars , conks, enjoyed parasailing, & beach shops and seafood restaurants.

The property was "as advertised". I recommend the location. The property was a good value for the price paid. The property provided wifi/internet access. My security deposit was returned on time.

Five Stars!
May, 2016: Our stay at Palm Villa is one we will never forget! We are SO ready to visit this beautiful home again! The house is open and spacious, yet cozy and warm! The kitchen has everything you'll need for dining in. Waffles or pancakes with coffee in the morning (or mimosas), grills outside for steaks or fresh grilled seafood, and plenty of pots and pans for whatever cooking you'd like to do. Dinner at "home" watching the sunset on the gorgeous lanai was one of our favorite memories! There's also a large dinner table inside of you'd rather eat indoors.
The pool is absolutely beautiful with a spa attatched. We loved relaxing in the spa after a long day on the beach. The lights in the canal beneath the pier were so fun to watch! Fishing poles and bait buckets are provided at the house. There was so much wildlife in the canal right in front of the house. We saw beautiful red shouldered hawks, manatees so close we could almost touch them, and all types of fish.. Conveniently, if you decide to rent a boat, there's a boat lift on the dock!
The master bedroom and bath takes the cake as far as the inside of the house! With an attatched gym, huge floor to ceiling sliding doors in the bedroom and gym; I was in love! Waking up to the breathtaking view of the palm trees and canal was like a dream! And the bathroom, wow! It was something out of a magazine. The shower and tub were gorgeous, not to mention there is a stairway from the lanai to the bathroom which is super convenient. The master bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed the romantic gas fireplace.
There are several restaurants within minutes of the house. The Lobster Lady was recommend, but we didn't get a chance to go! Next time, we will for sure! Publix is right up the street as well as a Walmart market.
The hardest choice of the day was whether to relax by the pool or head into town! When we did venture out, we used Groupon (I recommend) to find cool things to do for a good deal! We went kayaking at Fort Myers Beach, dinner at Prime DE Leon in the historic downtown Fort Myers area, and took beach trips to Santibel and Lovers Key. The beaches were as beautiful as I had imagined a Florida beach to be. We also stopped by the Cape Coral Yacht Club on our last night to see the sunset! I wish we had gone there before. There's restaurants and beach access as well as a large fishing pier. Perfect place for a sunset dinner out and a kid friendly area! We also booked a fishing trip to Lake Okeechobee in nearby Clewiston, Florida. Definitely something to plan a few weeks ahead. If you love bass fishing, a guided trip on Okeechobee is well worth the time and money!
We can't wait to visit Florida again and will definitely be staying at Palm Villa!

Excellent Florida Property With Lots of Privacy and Amenities

Loved visiting here and enjoyed everything this property has to offer which is lots. You can stay here the entire time and completely have the ultimate vacation experience. But it is also close to Cape Harbor and local towns where there are excellent restaurants and shopping. Golf is close by as well. But once you get here you may not want to leave. Enjoy the waterfront pool, waterfall spa and the outdoor dining (with outdoor kitchen) and tiki bar. Also, a nice private gym and a sauna right there for after you workout. The boat access will allow a private rental company the ability to deliver a rental boat for the day and Sanibel Island is a quick boat ride over. The home is perfect for families that want to vacation together. Also, beautiful décor and lots of light throughout the home. Enjoy! I sure did.

This house is the best vacation rental that my family & I have ever stayed in. We visit FL very often, several times a year and this was the BEST! Spacious, clean, comfortable, entertaining, beautiful...So many words and the Owners are very friendly. Photos cannot describe how beautiful this home is. I have been meaning to place a review, it has been a while but I knew as soon as I had a chance, I would. Everyone should know about this vacation rental. This house is missing NOTHING at all. Everything you would need is there, spa, pool, gym, fishing, dock, outdoor kitchen, beautiful dining area, the list goes on...I could write a story about this home. Perfect...Perfect...Perfect!!

I highly recommend Peninsula Point. My girlfriends and I have stayed in the home twice, once in spring, once in summer. While we enjoyed the area's upscale consignment shops, cool restaurants, and a jaunt to Sanibel Island, the home was so lovely that for the most part we were content to stay in and hang out under the lanai. The surrounding neighborhood is serene, and the location directly adjacent to a waterway and the Matlacha Pass Wildlife Preserve gives the home the feeling of a four star resort. We swam in the pool, soaked in the hot tub, and watched wild birds wheel over the endless fields of mangroves. Cooking was a pleasure in the large and beautiful kitchen. We particularly enjoyed the spa-like bathroom on the second floor, with its panoramic view of the preserve. The home is beautifully decorated, well maintained, and spotless. I hope to visit again.

The location is perfect, inside and out. You can get anywhere easily from here -- a few minutes to dining and shopping, 30 minutes to Sanibel Island. But you won't want to leave, the place is so lovely. Especially the gorgeous lanai with pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and dining, even your own tiki bar! The sunsets from the dock are to die for. We rented kayaks and paddled thru the mangroves right from the dock. There's a boat lift if you want to power boat on the Gulf. Beautifully furnished and the kitchen has everything. There's even a private gym with views of the water.

I recommend this house to anyone considering it - what a great find! This house is a beautiful executive waterfront home in a safe and upscale community. This vacation home was perfect for working remote during the day as well as entertaining. Every morning we enjoyed breakfast out by the huge pool followed by daily boat trips to visit Cabbage Island, Picnic Island and Captiva Island. We enjoyed bird watching from the dock and were so thrilled to experience several dolphin sightings while out boating. This vacation house also had a workout room that allowed us to continue with our workout routine. We were also very pleased with the restaurant selections which we could travel to via car or boat. Every night ended with star gazing in the hot tub. After renting this home, I don't think I'll ever want to stay in a hotel again.

This house was a fabulous find! Six adults, two children, and one baby left the cold snowy land of WI and traveled to FL for a week long stay in this wonderfully appointed home. The owners were so accommodating and easy to work with-they even bought a pack and play for our unexpected third child! The pool and hot tub were used everyday and we enjoyed eating out on the back deck nightly. We couldn't have asked for better weather (80+ everyday). We rented a boat and enjoyed many lunches aboard it while discovering different cities and much sealife! Excellent location-we felt safe day and night. Perfect location for running, biking and walking as well. Absolutely perfect vacation! We would recommend staying here to everyone!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is the first thing to do once arriving at Palm Villa?
A: Grab a beer or mix a margarita, and then keep 'em coming with the outside bar and bar fridge. Find the best spot in the sun by the pool or down on the dock and relax! When you walk in, you are drawn immediately outside to the pool and waterfront. Later on, you can discover how beautiful the inside of the house is!

This can be before or after you rent a boat or kayaks nearby to enjoy right from the backyard on the water.
Q: What makes our home special?
A: Aside from the view, the water and wildlife, quick and easy access to the Gulf and mangrove preserve, we have tried to provide a home with every comfort needed for a relaxing vacation. To us, it's a real home, not just a house we furnished for rentals. We stay there too! (as much as we can in fact)
Q: What places and activities are close by?
A: Shopping, dining, waterpark, Cape Harbor, Fort Myers beach, Sanibel Island, Pine Island, Naples.
OR, don't go anywhere! Rent bikes and kayaks that can be delivered to the door, or rent a boat that can be delivered to the dock. Plenty of great food can also be delivered to the door.
Q: What is there for younger kids to do?
A: Plenty! Fishing and boating with the family, swimming in the pool, plenty of games with a PS3 player and plenty of movies for days that might be rainy. We have about 4 fishing poles at the home and quite a few good family-style or kid-friendly DVDs on hand. Plus Scrabble for the adults who don't like to play it on a computer screen! (old school)
