Owner Supplied Testimonials
3/7/14 Stay: There were 13 adults staying here during this week-end and each and every one had high praise for this house. As advertised, it was neat, clean, well equipped, attractively decorated, and one block from the beach. What could be better? Kevin provided a very detailed set of information documents to us in the weeks prior to our rental, and promptly answered every question we had leading up to the departure date. He called me the day we were due to arrive to make certain there was nothing left to chance, and then asked me to call him when we arrived to make sure we found the place in good order. Great customer service. If you want a place for a large group retreat or family vacation you'd be hard pressed to find something better.
5/2/14 Stay: Our entire group enjoyed this home. We felt it was comfortable, spacious enough (we had over 20 ppl), clean. It was also in a great location, being one block from the beach and only 5 mins from main attractions. We had families with us rom Long Island, NY, Chicago, Buffalo, NY, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Virginia....not one family had a complaint.
6/7/14 Stay: Beautifully maintained home with spacious rooms. Large main level kitchen with plenty of sitting room inside and outside for our 6 family summer get-away. Layout of home provided plenty of privacy...never felt like our 16 family members were stepping on each others' toes. Enjoyed many an evening relaxing on the front porch. Short walk to Washington Street shopping and beach. Owners were more than accommodating providing us with bikes and beach equipment, thou we did bring our own bikes...it was great to be able to store them in their basement. Nice to speak to on-hands owners who gave great advice for activities and dining places they enjoy in Cape May. Did not hesitate to reserve this home for our 2015 family get-away.
6/14/14 Stay: Our first stay in Cape May was perfect! We could not think of a thing that the owner did not include and/or provide with the Stockton home. We had family from FL, OH, DC, and PA ...82 years young to 10 months and it fit all of our needs. Kevin was helpful throughout the entire process and offered wonderful dining, sightseeing hot spots. I would recommend this lovely home to anyone, young and old alike. Beach is close and the hone well within walking or bike riding distance to everything. A truely wonderful week in Cape May.
8/16/14 Stay: My husband and I rented this cottage for two weeks and invited our children and grandchildren. What wonderful memories we made. The cottage was spotless upon arrival and included everything you could possibly need. We really appreciated having all the beach chairs at our disposal, umbrellas and bicycles. The grills in the yard made for some really good summertime cooking and eating on the many decks was enjoyable and peaceful. It is in walking distance to the beach and many of the great shops and restaurants Cape May has to offer. The street is quiet at night, a very nice family spot to plan your vacation. The owner Kevin was helpful in providing us information about the cottage and the area and really wanted to make sure our family was happy during our stay. We will definitely be visiting this or his other cottages in Cape May again.
9/13/14 Stay: This is the 2nd year we have rented this property for a group of 12 artists. We rented the entire house and find all of the amenities truly amazing. It is very clean, in perfect condition, and has a very helpful owner. It is very convenient to the beach, to restaurants, to shopping and to charming areas of Cape May. We would rent it again.
9/20/14 Stay: We came to the Stockton Avenue cottage for our yearly family vacation. There were 17 of us, so we rented the entire house. Words can not convey how impressed we were with everything! The roominess and cleanliness of the house, and attentiveness of the owners were beyond our expectations! There was not one thing missing from the amenities or household supplies provided and the Solar's attention to every little detail make this property one of the best we've ever been to. Additionally, the Solar's provided comprehensive lists of restaurants, shopping, activities, etc. We toured the local winery and lighthouse and used the abundant supply of bikes provided to ride around the area and along the beach. While there are endless restaurants to chose from [and you must go to the Mad Batter for breakfast at least once], we mostly ate in; and the three fully equipped kitchens made preparation and clean up a breeze! It was wonderful just spending time together in the beautiful house, but even with so much space it was also easy to find quite time alone on one of the three porches or sitting areas. We plan on keeping this cottage on our short list of places for family vacations and look forward to returning again soon.
9/26/14 Stay: We are members of the Class of 1968 of Our Lady of Lourdes , School of Nursing. We send a September weekend at the Jersey shore every two years. This home was the best ever. The house was well cared for, comfortable and cozy. There was lots of places for gathering, a great front porch in particular. The kitchens were very well equipped. The owners were very thoughtful with little touches like laundry detergent, paper products, TV's in each bedroom and plenty of wine glasses. We have already scheduled a return visit.
4/3/15 Stay: There were 21 of us spending 3 days and 2 nights in this nice, quiet neighbors house. There were a lot of spaces to hang around in. The teens stayed in the 2nd floor area and the adults took the first floor. It was nice that the owner provided the bikes which we used in 2 days. The first floor kitchen was clean and open. We didn't cook a lot, but it became the central area for us to drink, and have the deserts.
4/3/15 Stay: Our party of 22 people(7 families with 10 kids) have spent a wonderful long Easter weekend in this recently remodeled cottage. The three kitchens are well stocked with pots, pans and utensils, all bedrooms are equipped with nice furnitures and TVs, showers are hot and adequate. We enjoyed bike rides along the boardwalk and to the lighthouse, as well as delicious seafood dinners at the town center. I would definitely come back and recommend to family and friends.

5/8/15 - 5/11/15 Stay. Our group had the most wonderful time in this spacious and beautifully furnished vacation home only one block away from the beach and a short walk to the main square. The house is equipped with everything that you need plus bikes, beach chairs and umbrellas. Kevin was very accommodating and answered all our questions promptly. He met us upon check in and explained how everything works in the house and provided us with resource information about the area. It was obvious that he takes great pride in maintaining this lovely vacation home and sharing it with others to enjoy.
05/25/2015 Stay - My group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was warm, inviting, well maintained, lovingly decorated, and spotless. This is one house that you have to see to believe. We took advantage of the sidewalk sales at the Washington Mall, the trolley tours, the nearby churches and restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch, and upper and lower decks. I loved the proximity of the beach and restaurants. The owner was very attentive to our needs.
05/19/2015 Stay - Impressed with the overall quality. Had 15 adults occupy. Ample supplies and furnishings. All enjoyed.
05/21/2015 Stay - This is my family's 3rd yr vacationing @ this home. It provides everything needed for a vacation @ the shore. There are several living/dining/sleeping areas that make it very easy for several families to stay together yet still have their own privacy. The multiple bathrooms and washers/dryers help. There is ample off street parking and the beach is right around the corner.
05/30/2015 Stay - I came here with my boyfriend to spend a few days with his family for an extended weekend of sorts, from 05/30-06/03. We unfortunately couldn't stay the whole week due to work/vacation time constraints, but we enjoyed ourselves immensely. It's been almost four years since I last visited Cape May, which has always been my preferred Jersey Shore spot: quiet, clean, with plenty of unique shops, dining options, and breathtakingly beautiful architecture. Wildwood may have its long beaches, and Atlantic City may have its flashy casinos, but Cape May is a national treasure. I was looking forward to this trip with great anticipation, and I have to say, I was impressed. First of all, the house was huge and spacious enough to accommodate everyone, including the kids. Everything was in order when we arrived, and I could tell a lot of effort was put into maintaining the house to keep it clean and tidy. Also, I liked how everyone had their own suite of rooms, so even though we were all together, the living arrangements ensured that everyone had some level of privacy. The house itself was also a refreshing departure from the typical "Shore home" construction, which seems to be comprised of flake board and windows these days. It felt good to be in a house that was built with solid materials like brick and stone. The bathroom and shower I used were clean and I didn't experience any problems with hot or cold water. The house's close proximity to the beach was a definite plus for my boyfriend's brother and his kids, who were eager to dip their toes in the ocean. Parking was also very convenient for everyone, and the street was relatively quiet. My boyfriend and I took advantage of the nice weather on Sunday, 05/31 to take a walk around the neighborhood and gawk at the lovely houses with their gingerbread trim and brightly painted shutters. Basically, my boyfriend and I loved every minute we spent in Cape May, and we would definitely come down here again next summer.
06/20/2015 Stay - This house is simply amazing. Exceptionally clean, spacious, lovely. The owners have left no stone unturned in making this home your home while on vacation. It has everything you would ever need. It is so close to the beach, shops, restaurants, and so much more. We had 14 stay for a week, and had plenty of room. Great for large families. I have been to many vacation homes and this is at the top of the list!
06/27/2015 Stay - Hi Kevin, I have meant to write you since our return, however life and job always get in the way. Your cottage at 1018 Stockton Ave. was a great choice. Beautiful, extremely well kept and big enough for Anyone of us to find a hiding space should we need to. We were all pleasantly surprised to see how "top of the line" everything was. And comfortable and truly wonderful. Especially your kitchens, since we all like to cook With your awnings we were able to stay on the porch even in the one storm that came our way. I will refer anyone who asks directly to you! It was a fantastic vacation! Thanks again Patty
