My husband and I, are THOSE people.....the ones who scauffed at, felt sorry for, and were disgusted by people strapped to 4 legged sniffers and willing to grab their poop with a plastic hand. Then, came Gracie. We soon became the pitiful, poop scooping fur child lovers we once loathed. Then comes time for our once a year, free loving vacation....sand, sea, cocktails and dining at our fingertips........hmmmm......leave Gracie? How? After time consuming research, and thousands of reviews...We found Cape San Blas. Wow....an actual dog loving community that offers everything we could imagine....really? Being new at this, of course, but not finding another Florida town with such accomodations, the "DogWalds " were sold! Yes, CSB is so wonderful, that leaving the fur in storage would have afforded us a lot more freedom to enjoy all of it's offerings, but having the option was fantastic.....and amazing fun. Thank you for providing such great hospitality and community to fur travellers to CSB! We are a 50+ yr? old couple with a 50 lb. boxer/terrier

Accomodations were quite nice with many provided amenities that are not included elsewhere. Easy access to the beach and the pool form Unit 7. Beautiful view from three decks. Enjoyed Indian Path (Pass) dining while there. Easy access to State Park, beaches and flats from there. One guest enjoyed fly fishing the flats on several days.

Our vacation arrangements were made simple by the condo owner's prompt contact and excellent directions- right down to our arrival at the unit. That the condo was quite roomy, was located directly on the beach, had four balconies and included amenities like beach chairs, coolers, and other necessities (dish soap, laundry detergent, starter paper products), helped make this one of the nicest vacation spots my family has had the pleasure to enjoy.

This was a trip with grandkids and the townhouse was right on the beach allowing lots of play time in the surf. Snorkeling in the bay in the state park was a high point, as well as climbing the old lighthouse. The townhouse was convenient, well-equipped, and comfortable. The kids especially liked the "kids room" at the top! This will be a trip they remember.

The Barrier Dunes at Cape San Blas was beyond our expectations. We have visited many places in the Florida Gulf and many islands in the Caribbean. We have found our new favorite spot. The accommodations were perfect but the customer service of Wendy and Donna was impeccable. There was nothing they would not due to insure our stay was perfect and our babies (two small dogs) enjoyed their first time on the beach. The community accommodation for dogs was amazing and we have never felt so welcome. I would encourage anyone who has been searching for a vacation and have not been able to take your pets with them and felt they had a vacation too visit Barrier Dunes.

We had a fantastic time at Pelican View. I've never been to a rental that was so well-stocked, especially the kitchen. The weather was gorgeous and the beach is the nicest I've seen (and I grew up in St. Pete and saw lots of beaches!) Our granddaughter loved her first experience with the gulf and we were all grateful we didn't have any oil spill problems. I know we'll plan to go back to the area again; in fact, my husband was asking about going in the winter on the drive home. Thanks for everything. You did a great job of keeping us posted about everything and that really helped us know what to expect!

....our time spent at Cape San Blas was perfect. The condo was fantastic and you and Donna could not have been more of a pleasure to work with. We look forward to returning as quickly as possible and I will certainly recommend to all of our friends to look to you for a beautiful place to vacation. It was our pleasure to be a part of your home as it felt so much lke we had belonged long before arriving. How could we possibly not take care of it as if it were our own!

Our trip to the Cape was absolutely fantastic! Pelican View was awesome and had everything we needed. My husband enjoyed the trip very much....many changes since he was last there, but all GOOD! We had 1 stormy day but we went exploring in Port St. Joe, Indian Pass, Apalachicola & St. George Island. Ate at the Indian Pass Raw Bar and at Boss Oyster House in Apalachicola---both places were AWESOME! Nothing like fresh raw oysters, steamed shrimp and bay scallops!! We went horseback riding on the beach with Two-Bit" and they were great...beautiful horses...lots of fun! Being on the Cape with the beach literally at our back door (and having the beach practically ALL to ourselves) was so amazing...we got to see several pods of dolphins swim by one morning RIGHT in front of us! Must have been 14-16 of those beautiful creatures! ALl in all I have to say it is one of the BEST vacations EVER...we will definitely be back.
Thank you SO much for all your attention to details, your timely responses to emails and for helping us plan and experience such a wonderful vacation!

We had THE BEST time! The weather was perfect and the place was just beautiful. We had looked so long to find a place where we could take our dog-- ended up not going at all last summer as we could not find anything close to the beach that allowed pets. She truly believes she is one of us, so leaving her behind just was not an option. We were so excited to see how she would like swimming in the ocean and she LOVED it! Stepping out our back door and being on the beautiful Gulf was a real paradise!
We "shelled" each morning, what wonderful shells...we saw something new every day. My father is from Pensacola so I was familiar with the white sandy beaches and turquoise waters...but is always amazing to see how pretty it is when you've been away from it. But where can you find such a beautiful location and now crowds?!? We were so impressed with the solitude and quiet area -- no high-rises, Walmarts, tourist traps, etc. I so glad TS Faye did not do any damage to the area.
The guest guide was so helpful -- especially the restaurant guides and what to do sections. Enjoyed Sunset Grille and Loggerhead especially -- fabulous food and such friendly owners. In fact, everyone we met the entire week was so nice and friendly. We all so appreciated being able to bring ALL our family, and I was amazed how clean the beaches and town home was. Everyone's pets were so well behaved and most folks we spoke to were repeat visitors...as we will now become! We did go into Apalachicola and enjoyed shopping around their adorable shops and want to go to St. George next time.
It was a real benefit to have chairs, boogie boards, Frisbees etc., already in the townhouse. It just could not have been better furnished -- everything we needed was there. We enjoyed grilling fresh seafood one night so we could stay out on the beach late. Several evenings folks had bonfires and it was just beautiful to sit out and walk on the beach at night.
Thank you for all you did to make our week so very special. We will definitely be in touch as soon as we have dates lined up for next summer...if not before! You have been absolute delight to work with (although I knew a Hokie would!!) and we really appreciate all you did to get us set for a wonderful week.
Thanks again -- it was absolutely perfect in every way!!

Thank you so much! We had a wonderful time at the Cape, and we loved everything about the place, especially the view! Everything was exactly as described on your site and it exceed our expectations. Not only would we like to come back sometime in the future, we'd like to come back now! I still have the post-vacation blues! We live in a very big city with way too much traffic, so it was a completely relaxing getaway.
We loved being able to walk out of the townhouse right onto the beach and take long walks on the beach every morning and evening. We loved reading in the afternoon in the master bedroom and looking out on the ocean and being able to see just the water. It was almost like being on a cruise ship! The weather was perfect every day and the sunsets were beautiful every night.
This was our first trip to the ocean with our Golden Retriever, and we weren't sure if she'd like it, but we had trouble getting her out of the water. We met 2 ladies in one of your rentals with a one year old Golden Retriever (Kerrie and Cathy), and the 2 dogs had so much fun playing together in the ocean and on the beach.
Thank you for making your townhouse available for dog owners. Having our pooch with us made the trip so much more fun, and as a result, we met several very nice dogs and thier owners!

Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your property -- it was a really nice week for all of us. The weather was great - only one evening hour of storms, and I got some really cool shots of a group of waterspouts. The place was extremely well equipped, especially in the kitchen, and the beach closet was full of stuff! I'd love to come back...I'll be sure and let you know when we're able to.
Susan Brown, May/June 2007
Shore Thang exceeded our expectations. The view alone is priceless and the other amenities make it feel like home. We had a great time and hope to visit again soon!
Debbie Reed and Family, May 2007
We had a wonderful week. I don't believe I have ever stayed in a condo that was as well equipped as yours. Thanks for all the little things you've thought of to help make vacation more special!
