What more could you ask for! There is a private pool, private beach access in walking distance, less than 1min walking distance! Not, stop and get a drink, I got my heart rate up, walking distance. Private dock access on the bay as well!!! some of you can go fish, others go lay on the beach, or swim in the private pool!! All without ever getting in the car! The house is quiet, roomy, outside living space, and beautiful!! I will not stay anywhere else on this wonderful island!!! Just don't book the weeks I like to go!!!

Owner Supplied Testimonials

We had a great time at your place! Honestly the best vacation rental we have ever stayed at. I got your thank you card today. Your customer service is awesome and I know how important that is with my clients. It makes all the difference. Once again, thanks and I will be sure to let people know to stay at your place when going to Captiva

The last 2 weeks at Villa Elena were wonderful. The house was just perfect for us. The open family room was a big hit as we all tend to hang out together. The screened in porch was fantastic and that extra refrigerator was a must for all our cold drinks. My husband, is a wonderful chef so he really used the kitchen and grill. We had gulf shrimp, yellow snapper, grouper, steaks and much more... Everything worked great. He had to get a little creative with the pans, but he made it work. The wagon and chairs were the best we've ever had at a rental in Captiva....thank you for those. Thanks again for sharing your place with us. If our group size stays the same, we will definitely consider Villa Elena for our 2 week vacation next year

“From the minute we stepped in the door of Villa Elena, we felt right at home! The home is decorated beautifully and it is very peaceful. We found the home very clean and it had everything we needed for a week on Captiva Island! The wagon for the beach is such a plus, along with the beach chairs and beach umbrella! Thank you for providing this for us. We did bring along our own fold-up cooler to take drinks and snacks to the beach. The town of Captiva was lovely. We had a few meals in town, and also cooked a few meals at Villa Elena. We grilled shrimp One night on the outdoor gas grill. We enjoyed watching the sun set from The Mucky Duck in Captiva and stayed for dinner that evening. We ate breakfast at a few of the restaurants in town, and also enjoyed the mexican restaurant In Captiva. We rented bikes from Yolo’s Bike Shop in Captiva and we rode every day. We even biked to Ding Darling’s Nature Reserve. We only used our rental car twice during the whole week. It was fun to bike every where. Cindy, the owner, was very helpful in making our stay wonderful. Thank you again.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The house was in quiet location with easy access to the beach and town of Captiva. We rented bikes from Billy's for the week and used them to get around the island. On Tuesday I rode into town and bought fresh grouper and crabcakes from Andy's mobile fish market. They food was delicious! The house was well maintained and the kitchen had all the needed supplies to make cooking easy. The pool was heated which was a unexpected plus! We would definitely recommend this house.

We had a wonderful time on Captiva Island. The house was wonderful. It was well maintained and the kitchen was stocked with the right amount of kitchen gadgets to make cooking easy. The pool was heated which was an added plus! We rented bikes from Eddy's bike and used them to get around the island for the week. We also bought fresh seafood from Andy's mobile fish market. The crab cakes and grouper were amazing. Thank you for a wonderful week with my family! Beach was beautiful.

We stayed in this beautiful home last week and had a great time. In total we were 8, 2 families of 4 (2 x 4year olds and 2 x 6yr olds). It was a busy time but really relaxing. There were great activities and we didn't have time to do them all so will have to return! The beach was great although a little cold for the kids to swim. The pool was perfect- almost too perfect- the kids never wanted to get out! The fireplace was a really nice later night pass time for the adults. Villa Elena was an excellent combination of comfort, location and amenity. I would definitely recommend the house and Captiva to anyone. We had no complaints and no troubles during our stay.

Hello – It’s been a hectic first week back in Ecuador, particularly so with our kids having gotten a little sick, but things have calmed down to the point where I can finally say THANK YOU. It was an amazing week and the accommodations were a big reason for that. The kids enjoyed the pool and beach, and we even rented a boat for a day and picking up the family from the dock was a nice treat. My Spanish in-laws were very impressed with the residence, and it’s only a minor miracle that there are more pics of the kids than there are of the house! So thank you again. We truly appreciate it.

Wonderful family friendly home. Very comfortable, supplied well with towels, and cooking tools. Walking distance to the beach. House and pool were clean, could use minor updates. I would stay again at this house without a doubt.

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us for our family vacation. We enjoyed it so much and have many memories from our time spent there. My favorite features were the spacious, well equipped kitchen where we enjoyed fresh seafood from the ocean and mangos found right outside of the villa. I loved the tile floors, custom architectural details, and high end furnishings. I also loved the lanai area, such a peaceful place to relax and unwind. My daughter loved her very own walk in closet and bathroom. My son and daughter squabbled a bit over that bedroom, but my daughter who once asked us to extend the end of our house so that she could have a walk in closet eventually won out. The wagon equipped with all of the beach essentials was a definite plus when going to the beach. The beach access was wonderful, almost like having our own private beach. I also appreciated the landscaping and ongoing maintenance that the property receives. One of my favorite memories was painting with my children in the outside lanai area while watching the cute lizards scurry around. All of fans and trees in the lanai area provided a cool place to be outdoors in the summer sun. We look forward to a future visit someday. We thank you again

This is a home you really need to see to experience the beauty, peacefulness and allow yourself time to recharge. The home was larger than anticipated with great open areas for family to gather. Beautiful pool area and outside dining. Just a very short walk to the beautiful beach and calm gulf waters. Nice walk or bike ride into the town of Captiva with many restaurant options and small grocery store. This was our first visit to Captivia Islands and we can't wait to go back.

My family and I totally enjoyed our stay at the Villa Elena and will definitely be returning next year - god willing...the layout location and the accommodations were fabulous. We were down on a family reunion and I was amazed at how well the house was equipped from the linens, towels to the kitchen supplies. We ended up hosting a few dinners and I was never in need for things I needed to cook. That is a huge compliment...for those who cook it is difficult to cook in someone else's kitchen. The Villa Elena did not miss on anything needed! We loved the pool and although the sun is limited in November it still met all our needs! The house was clean and the beds and all the furniture were extremely comfortable which is so important when you're on vacation! My husband and I have even thought we would come alone someday. We loved how private it was and the quietness. It was close enough to the beach. And we were so close to Tween Waters Resort which is where a few of our family was staying. For my adult children it was perfect because they could walk back and forth and didn't need to have a car! For recommendations: An outside shower, Kayaks and A Working Fountain. (The house is such a quiet paradise that having the fountain working would be awesome.) Other then that, I would highly recommend the Villa Elena to anyone!!!

This lovely home is nicely appointed with ample room for small families and get togethers. The walled in heated pool on heat pump is a wonderful amenity along with the enclosed porch-fireplace area. Although not on either intercoastal waterway or the gulf, it is just steps down the driveway and across San-Cap Rd to private beach areas. Several local eateries were great along with the mobile fish market a few days/wk. The pretty areas of Captiva and Sanibel are all quite close by car. The roadways up on Captiva are not as safe for bikers and pedestrians compared to Sanibel but the traffic is not that heavy.

We had a fabulous stay at Villa Elena. 3 of my favorite girlfriends and I went to celebrate our birthdays together basking in the sun and enjoying charming Captiva. The house was beautiful, comfortable, well-supplied, and in a perfect location. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella for our short walks to the beach and enjoyed relaxing in the private pool each day. An excellent stay overall!

Villa Ellena is a beautiful home! We have rented houses before that did not live up to the pictures and claims on their websites, but Villa Ellena exceeded our expectations. The setting is very tropical and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Although it is not on the beach, it really is just a short walk and once on the beach, you will have it practically all to yourself! The swimming pool at the house was wonderful and we enjoyed it as much as the beach. The only disappointment we had was that the boat dock was not very easy to access. We had brought our canoe, hoping to be able to use it in the bay, but it was too far for us to carry it to the dock, especially since you have to walk through other homeowner's properties. We would love to stay at this home again sometime and highly recommend it!

My family and I have now stayed at the Villa Elena twice and the second was better then the first. It is the perfect house for your family. Our family arrived on Nov 5 and Our children left on Monday nov 9 but we opted to stay till Sat. With or without our children we loved every minute of our stay. The pool and the amenities filled all our needs. Once again my husband's family were down staying at various places on the island but everyone loved coming to the villa Elena !!! The screened in porch is the best room in the house!

We enjoyed our stay at Villa Elena. The house was lovely and perfect for my family. Thank you for all of your help with this rental!

We rented Villa Elena for a very special trip to celebrate birthday milestones, a new grandson and a new doctor of physical therapy in the family. We were so sad that our flight from Washington DC was cancelled on the day we were supposed to arrive, so we had one less day to enjoy this beautiful home. The quiet location was nice, but we wished we were a bit closer to the beach. We so enjoyed the beautiful pool at the house, and that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Cindy is absolutely the nicest owner I've ever worked with. She addressed our minor problem with ants immediately (goes with the territory in warm climates) by having someone come and spray. She also emailed several times before our week to address any questions we had. Everything you need in the kitchen is already there...just bring your food (but stop and get it before you arrive on the island...very expensive there). There were also plenty of towels and even beach towels! One suggestion is more toilet tissue and larger bottle of dish detergent. We wish we could go every year, but will have to wait for another special occasion:)

We stayed at Villa Elena with my brother and his family for a total of 4 adults and 5 kids under age 10. The house is all on one level and was great for the kids who could explore freely. Lovely decorating, if a bit worn, and the kitchen was fully equipped for some great grilled meals. We ate dinner out in the lanai area every night. The pool was also a godsend for those hot afternoons after we were finished with the beach. Short walk across the road to a beautiful and fairly empty stretch of beach. Had to drive to other activities but well worth it to have the big house and beach access. We'll be back!

I just wanted to personally thank you after our stay at Villa Elena. Villa Elena was the perfect place for my family to stay while in Captiva. My 2 children loved your pool and playing in the back courtyard. I loved the seclusion of the house and the back grill. We stayed in the master bedroom which was so beautiful. Your suggestions on where to eat and what to do were great. We went fishing at Santiva with Captain Rob as Captain Jim Sr. was already booked and caught a ton of fish. You are so lucky to have such a wonderful property. Captiva was our favorite place that we have visited in Florida. We are planning on going back next year and hopefully staying at your Villa again. Many Thanks,

My family and in-laws rented Villa Elena for the week at the end of April. We were extremely pleased with the house. Everything we needed (except food) was already there including a Keurig and beach towels. The house is so nicely laid out. The pool and back courtyard is where we spent most of our time. The house is a short walk from the beach. And there is a great wheeled cart that you can pull to the beach with all the beach supplies and toys. Cindy was so great prior to arrival in providing us with suggestions on where to eat and what to do. She even recommended a great captain to take us deep sea fishing that was a short walk down the main road. I would highly recommend Villa Elena to anyone looking to visit Captiva as it was one of our favorite places that we have ever rented.

I wanted to let you know that we loved your house in Captiva! It was perfect for our family and we all enjoyed the room to the side. It was my reading room, my son-in-laws nap room, my granddaughter's play room. You have a lovely house!

I rented villa Elena to spend one week escaping winter in Switzerland, with my two sons and their girlfriends. The house was perfect for us with the three large bedrooms and the three bathrooms. We had lots of fun traveling and visiting the beautiful Southwest gulf coast, lay down on the lovely beach watching birds and dolphins. Due to the busy period of the year we could not enjoy the restaurants because everything was booked out but we had some wonderful and delicious meat and fish BBQ in the patio. We had a great day with the boat rented next door, stopping in the lovely beaches and fishing delicious fish that we cooked the same evening. Great holiday

We had a great time at Villa Elena. The house is all on one floor and has many places to sit and converse with others, or be by yourself. The shower was lovely and large. The screened porch was the place we spent most of our time. What a wonderful place to be at all times of the day and night. We ate our meals there, and played games at night. The kids chased lizards in the closed courtyard. The kitchen has everything you could need and it is all really solid and top notch items.Cindy has really thought of everything that someone would need while they are there, and has stocked the kitchen with it.The kitchen is a nice size, and although it isn't exactly a completely open floor plan, you are not cut off from any area of the house. You can talk to everyone , and be part of the festivities! The short walk to the beach was wonderful for everyone, and having a wagon that has chairs and toys, and umbrellas made it easy to take everything with you. You will build up your muscles dragging it through the sand. Luckily, it is a very short distance over the sand, over the road was easy. The beach is beautiful and wide, and the kids loved playing in the waves and picking up shells. We walked up to the resort just up the road, and we had fun watching the hermit crab races, and appetizers that were great. It is a short walk and you can go on either the road or beach, either way was an easy stroll. Town is close if you need something, although traffic and parking was a bit tough. It was spring break when we were there though, so we probably saw it at its worst. We never had trouble crossing the road from the house to the beach. The pool was great to have. We spent time there in the afternoon when the sun was too hot, and the umbrellas shades a part of the pool so the kids could swim and not have to worry about burning. We saw lots of birds, and even saw manatees and an seahorse at the boat dock. I can't say enough good things about Cindy as an owner. She was responsive to my emails very promptly, and even sent me photos of the driveway to the house so I could see what it looked like when I had trouble visualizing it from maps. She didn't seem to be annoyed at my many ( ! ) questions, sent in many emails!

This house was in a perfect location -- not too close to the "busy" downtown but close enough to walk. (1.25 miles on the beach to the stop sign in center of town.) It's also right next to a resort with the two best -- and secret to many -- restaurants on the island. We were a short walk (two houses) from the beach. The pool was great. We build a fire on a colder evening and cooked breakfasts & lunches easily in the kitchen. One note: we rent in other areas of the country and often there are condiments and misc items like aluminum foil or sandwich bags to use. This property -- and I think many Florida properties -- come with cooking tools, but none of those extra misc items. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and would recommend the property to our friends.

My family of 8 had a wonderful time at Villa Elena. The home is beautiful, laid out well, well-stocked with supplies, towels and the kitchen has everything you'll need. It's a short walk to the beach and the host provides beach chairs and a wagon to get stuff there. The pool is a great place for cooling off and relaxing. The lanai is the best room of the house. We ate lunch and dinner there every day. It is great also for reading, game playing and just hanging out. We will definitely go back to Villa Elena. Location is great too.
