“Location Location Location”
We stayed at 2190 Adams Mountain Road over MLK. Everything worked. Carol and Dennis were more than accommodating. They answered every question promptly and made sure our stay was an enjoyable one. The location is second to none. My children found it easier to ski back to the home for lunch than go to the base lodge. Really liked the wood stove. It kept their boots toasty
We rented this condo in March of 2015 and loved it so much that we rented it again this year without even looking at anything else. Very clean and very comfortable. Has everything you need and it is so cozy that you feel like you are in your own home. Couldn't ask for a better location! You can walk to the lift and the restaurants. No need to get in your vehicle until its time to leave. Thank you Carol and Dennis for hoping your home to us. Hope to be back up next year, depending on where our son goes with his snowboarding career! Thank you, Effy & John LaCroix
Owner's reply: Thank you for your wonderful review and Five Stars! So happy that you returned again this year and we look forward to your return in the hope that your son continues his snowboard career! We loved knowing that you were there enjoying the Sugarloaf experience! Thanks so very much Effy and John!
“Awesome location & super comfortable!”
This place is amazing! Four of us (adults in our 30s) stayed here for 4 days and it was perfect. I was wondering how much light we would get, because from the description it sounded like a basement apartment. Much to my joy, it's built into a hill, so the front of the 1st floor condo has full size windows and it's beautifully light and airy all day! It is set up so nice, with apres ski decor, the kitchen is well furnished for all your cooking needs, the heat kept us warm and toasty, the hot water was hot, the internet was strong, and the bed in the bedroom is super comfortable with a down comforter! The wrap around couch is comfortable and you can sleep two adults on the two ends, or fold out the queen sofa bed. The condos on this Adams Mountain Rd appear to be privately owned, which is very nice because you have private permit parking during your stay here, and can walk right onto the mountain, no shuttle needed, ride all day without getting jammed up in the big Sugarloaf lot. Carol left us a delicious jar of Blackberry Jam that we devoured! The base is right there, you can walk over and have dinner every night (first night we went to The Bag and Kettle - it was the perfect start to our stay), you can also drive down the road and go to The Rack or Tulfulio's. There's a great coffee shop, Java Joe's, where you can walk over and get a cup of coffee, or buy some local beans and make your own at the condo, french press and drip Mr Coffee are available. There is a grocery store next to the sandwich shop where we bought our items to make breakfast. There is no hot tub here, but you can pay for a day pass ($12 I think) to go to the Hotel and go in the pool or hot tub. The snow was decent, the groomers did an amazing job trying to break up the ice, and then on the last day, comb the slush, and we had a blast snowboarding all day everyday. I highly recommend this place, Carol was SO great to communicate and work with, I will definitely be back.
Owner's reply: So thankful that you had a wonderful Sugarloaf experience Teresa! You must be an English major or a copy writer because your review was outstanding and the best attention to detail we have ever had.Thank you so very much and we hope you return soon. Summer Sugarloaf is incredible and our rates is just half of the winter rate.
Location, location, location! How true that is - we loved being so close to everything! We all enjoyed being there over school break week -- zero complaints! Hope to come back soon! Thanks so much Carol! Leslie, George and Ellie
“Phenomenal Condo & Owner”
My girlfriend and I rented Carol and Dennis' one bedroom condo over New Years Eve weekend and could not have had a better time. Our stay was extremely relaxing and worry free. When Carol advertises "Best Location on the Mountain" she is not kidding, the location was incredible. You are mere yards from the Base Lodge & Bunny Trail and one 3 minute walk to a major chairlift on the east side of the mountain. We had fun trying to find all the ways we could ski in and out from the Condo as we became more familiar with the mountain. Carol could not have been more hospitable. She gave us the most precise directions about how to get to the Condo, and once we got there, parking and getting inside it could not have been more seamless. There was even a sweet welcome gift and note, along with information about New Year's Eve events nearby, waiting for our arrival. We even locked ourselves out one afternoon, but Carol was just a phone call away and able to immediately help us locate the spare key. Carol is a first rate hostess with a first rate condo. Could not have had a better time. We look forward to coming back someday! Thank you, Carol! Nick & Sarah
Owner's reply: Thank you so vey much Nick for renting from us and for taking the time to write your wonderful review! We surely appreciate your words and trusting our advertising "Best Location on the Mountain". Hopefully you are able to return! Celebrating New Year is always fun and memorable but the summers are special to explore the nature trails, the Western Mountains and to get away from the crowds. Thank you Nick and Sarah!
“Wonderful way to ring in the New Year!”
We loved our relaxing stay at Carol and Dennis' condo. The location was incredible--we had fun skiing in and out--and Carol could not have been more hospitable. She wasn't able to be there when we arrived, but spoke with us on the phone once we arrived and left us a sweet welcome gift and note, along with information about New Year's Eve events nearby. She also let us borrow a pair of poles, as we forgot one of ours. We look forward to coming back someday! Thank you, Carol!
Owner's reply: Thank you so very much for being our guests and trusting us to help make your Sugarloaf experience memorable Sarah! We hope you return!
While this 1 bedroom apt is an older vintage, it is very functional and cozy. My daughter and family chose to hang out with us instead of at their brand new rental condo. The location can not get any better and the owner was friendly and helpful. I would stay their again.
Owner's reply: Thank you for your very special review Joyce! Sharing our cozy little apartment with you and your family is our pleasure! Hope you do return!
Really enjoyed our stay at this condo. Very clean and cozy. Didn't notice no wireless (though it was clearly stated) so watch out for that if it matters to you.
Owner's reply: Thank you very much Tom for your comments! We appreciate your stay with us and will definitely look into WIFI. At one time we had acess to Sugarloaf's Baselodge but not now. Sorry for any inconvenience Tom.
“Great hiking base camp!”
This condo is conveniently located right at the base of Sugarloaf. I used it as a hiking basecamp and it was wonderful to walk off the mountain and into the condo and shower at the end of a long day. The accomodations were clean and comfy, Carol was wonderful when I called with questions. I'd love to stay there again and use it as the perfect skiing basecamp!
“A Great Birthday Stay at the Tanner's place!”
Parents of young children Take Note: This unit is directly across from the childcare center. Less than a 1 minute walk. The unit has everything you need. Carol is a great host. The location is so convenient. The woodstove is cozy. There is a nice air-lock entry way, for wet boots and the like. I could go on and on, but so many others have already done so, I'll leave it at this - Stay here. You won't regret it.
Owner's reply: Thank you for your marvelous thoughts describing your 2190 Adams Mountain Road ski vacation experience and birthday celebration! It is truly the Best Location on the Mountain! I feel so fortunate to have you and your family appreciate our home away from home as much as my family of 4 boys and I did. We hope you return, we'll have the birthday candles and your Happy Birthday sign ready! Thank you Doug!
