Nice quiet getaway !

September 2, 2014

My husband & I stayed up here from 30th August thru September 01st. It was quiet, peaceful and clean. Sally went out of her way to make us feel welcome and tried to meet our every need. The cabin was adorable, nicely decorated and efficient with all the needs for a weekend getaway. Sally I left you a small token of appreciation hanging on the back deck. I hope you like it.

Owner's reply:

Thank you Nina for such nice comments. I really was sorry that the Chief Vann house was closed on Sunday. Your token was a pleasant surprise! I am updating the info book so that doesn't happen to anyone else...hope your husband's back is better for "ROLL TIDE" season.

Our 1st Marriage Anniversary

December 30, 2013

Our 1st Marriage Anniversary We had a great time in this Cabin. We checked in on Friday Afternoon and stayed there for two Nights and checked out on Sunday Afternoon. The Cabin is very cute, Though when you see it for the first time you'll think it's a bit small but since we're only two so it hardly made a difference to us. Its located in the woods on Woodring road. It's very quiet and peaceful out there, and in the night looking at the Stars from Balcony was amazing. We loved our stay here, the owner is also good, they are friendly people and the best thing is the rent is cheap so it's in most peoples budget. The Carterlake is 1.5/2 miles from Cabin you can drive or walk there.

Owner's reply:

Thank you for your wonderful comments. I wish I would have been told it was your anniversary. I like to do something special for my guests. Please visit us again soon and mention that you stayed on your anniversary for that little extra special "treat".

September 7, 2010

This cabin was perfect for the getaway from it all weekend we wanted. We ate all of our meals on the back deck that faces the forest leading to Carter Lake. Our pet dog Sassafras was welcome and loved the back deck as well. We would definitely go back.

Peaceful Retreat

July 8, 2010

We had the best time. It was such a serene environment. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city noise, traffic, crowds, pollution and confusion. We relaxed and convened with nature and each other. We got to swim in the lake and the river, something I have not done since I was four. the cottage was so cozy and efficient. It made us stop and and thank God for how lucky we are in America. I thorougly enjoyed the weekend spent there and have already referred 4 people. Looking forward for my next trip up there.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

One of the best mountain biking trails we've been on and right down the street. We enjoyed the complimentary hot chocolate and homemade cookies.
