“Family Gathering”

Reviewed 17 Sep 2015

Having family all come together in this home couldn't have been any more perfect! A ranch style home with so many amenities was a stress free stay. We have two little ones, 2 & 6 year old. This house is very child friendly, especially on the sliding doors to the pool. We enjoyed our stay & it wasn't to far from the spots we wanted to visit. This home is out in as I call it "the country" of Scottsdale. We are so glad we picked this home!

“Beautiful Property....But....”

Reviewed 12 Jul 2015

The home and property are beautiful and convenient to Scottsdale. However, in our opinion, there are items that need to be repaired, cleaned and maintained given the caliber of the home. There was an obvious insect problem upon our arrival. When we arrived there was a scorpion in the kitchen, several black widows on the children playset outside, spider in a bed and also the bathroom floor, roaches on the back porch, and every night there was a bathtub full of crickets. I called property management and they dispatched pest control immediately; however, this should be kept up and sprayed prior to guest arrival, as it was apparent it had not been done within a reasonable time before our arrival. I understand there are critters in the desert; however, this was excessive. In addition to the pests, there was broken tile pieces in the hallway, stained carpet throughout the home, stained bedding, damaged lights outside, dark stain on outdoor patio, refrigerator control panel not illuminated (can't read temperature), moldy musty smell in closets, and tattered outdoor furniture (too dirty to sit on). Although this list of items to be repaired seems lengthy, we still enjoyed our stay at Thompson Peek, and would love to return when maintenance is able to make some needed repairs. The home is beautiful and we would hate for it to be neglected and loose its splendor.
