We had an amazing time at this lovely vacation home. It is right "on" the water with a lovely sandy beach. The home is beautiful, comfortable and clean. The owners are terrific to work with. We would definitely highly recommend this property.

“Amazing place”

This house was great! The owners added personal touches that were special. Great neighbors and very peaceful! The house was very up to date and immaculate! You couldn't be any closer to the water. The grocery store is right up the street which made it very convenient. Amazing vacation house!!

Beautiful view, in modern and clean home . Able to swim in front of the home on kid friendly gradual beach. Very comfortable beds. Adequate dock for our power boat. Be sure to get up early and appreciate sunrise with lifting mist. Highly recommend.

“A Great Vacation In New Hampshire”

Reviewed 30 Jul 2013

This year our family decided to do something different than our typical Florida beach vacation. We wanted to do an "outdoors" vacation so we decided to head up to New Hampshire in the Lakes Region of the state. In looking through all of the rentals on MANY rental sites we decided to rent this lake house in Ossippe NH. We felt that it looked like like a really nice property in a good location. Initially we had some great communication with the owners. They responded to all emails very promptly and were very honest about the rental as well as the location of it. We decided to go forward and rent the property but we decided to go to Boston for a few days prior since it's only about 2.5 hours away. Upon arrival of the house it's set back on a dead end gravel street (second from the end) so you definitely do not have to worry about any traffic ruining your relaxation. I'd have to say it's the nicest house in the area so it definitely stands out, especially from the water view. While we walked in the house it is as immaculate as the pictures look. light hardwood throughout, very open and airy with all of the windows throughout. The inside is kept up beautifully and the owners obviously take pride in their rental. Its also a great bonus that there is a full size washer and dryer in the rental which makes vacation easy for the family. The outside of the house is simply awesome! Right on the water, boat dock and mountain views. The only real downfall we found was unfortunately we did not have any boats to enjoy the lake so we were definitely jealous of the locals watching them cruise the lake all day. There are local rentals available but they are really pricey. As for the location, while it is beautiful you should expect spending some time driving to many of the NH attractions. To this point though, I'd say that this is normal in NH and since we were on vacation it simply wasn't a big deal. Mt Washington (a must do) is about 1.25 hrs away and on the same day we visited Franconia Notch Gorge, another awesome hiking opportunity. Overall there is quite a bit to do within a reasonable driving distance but I'd also suggest planning on spending a few days just chilling at the house. Overall it was a great week of old school family fun and if you want a break from the bustle of everyday life and amusement park style vacations, then I would suggest giving NH a try and would definitely recommend this rental property.
