Remember Chamonix has twice as many visitors in the Summer than the Winter

activities IE, Rambling Mountain Biking,Cycling, Para gliding, Canoeing/kayaking, Hiking, glacier climbing, mountainering etc or just even to go to France and enjoy the lifestyle and culture

Chamonix's attractions aren't limited to skiing: during the summer months, it's turned over to a different type of mountain activity with the climbing in Chamonix regarded as some of the best in the French Alps. While for experienced climbers the main attraction is, of course, the looming Mont Blanc, the town is surrounded by great climbs and climbing schools that will cater for all abilities, while for those who prefer to take life a bit easier, there's also some wonderfully scenic walking, mountain biking . golf, fishing et

We are set in the Clos du Savoy part of Chamonix (Which is 1 of the nicer parts of Chamonix, beautifully lawned complex and quiet at night for so close to the town center). We are 2 minutes from the town center. We have the Skiing beginners run 50 meters behind our house which leads to the Brevent ski lift and fantastic views of the mountains from our balcony, which has the sun all morning till the afternoon so fantastic for Summer out door eating and late night star gazing. Remember always check the location of any apartment as too many people list their apartment as Chamonix but the apartment is out in the countryside and clients are very disappointed if there is not even a supermarket/kiosk for 5 miles to even buy a pint of milk!!! Also for a night out there is an almost non existant bus service after 7pm and Taxis if you can actually find 1 are expensive!!!! There is parking close by for those who come by car.

There is a double sofa bed and 2 single beds and with this you can have 4 people(If you are 4 people £125- £150 pounds each for a weeks accommodation is extremely good value especially in Chamonix Mont Blanc). If you decide to rent our place we need to have a deposit and confirmation as soon as possible of a 150 pound (non refundable) and the balance has to be settled no later than 8 weeks before you travel. There is a daily flights All UK airports and Europe (BMI and Easy Jet) to Geneva at very good prices. There is a bus and hourly shuttle services from the airport (OR LET US BOOK YOUR TRANSFERS FOR YOU AS ALL PART OF THE SERVICE) you just pay the ticket price and we do all the bookings for you as part of your holiday experience with our apartment!! The apartment has a full kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, cooker and microwave, brand new duvets and pillows, there is a BRAND NEW bathroom, there's a flat screen digital TV with USB stick so download any films etc and watch them direct via the tv usb socket also HDMI DVD and a selection of DVD films and a Nintendo and PS2 games consuls and I phone/ I pad docking station in the living room. The balcony has been newly tiled offering the chance of outdoor eating in the summer months with spectacular views.

We take a 150 pound deposit for the key\damage on your arrival day which will be returned as soon as you return the key AND THERE IS NO DAMAGE on your leaving day (key holder is liable to pay for any cost incurred due to damages or breakages at your stay). If you lose the key it will be minimum of $200 euros for a lock smith to come out and change the locks and let you in as our lock system is a special security system( so do NOT lose the keys :-) ).. All rentals pay €30 for a final cleaning when they return the keys and receive their deposit back. This is standard precedure in Chamonix and insures the apartment is in the same condition when you leave

I look forward to hearing from you

Chamonix is renowned as an extreme sports mecca, with some of the best powder fields in the world, and there's plenty for those looking for their first off-piste experience too. But it's not just the varied terrain that makes Chamonix a stand-out resort - it's worth visiting just for the stunning views and year-round mountain town.

Chamonix is world-famous for the extent and variety of its off piste. A classic excursion is the Vallée Blanche, a mind-blowing 24km run through stunning glacial scenery. It is perfectly within the capability of a fit (and brave) intermediate, and is easily reached by the Aiguille du Midi cable car in town, though the walk down a ridge to the start is scary. The Grands Montets area, reached by lifts from Argentière (about 10km up the valley from town), has huge amounts of easily accessible off piste, while the Vallée Blanche and Grands Montets areas have very high north-facing slopes. If the weather's bad you can head to Les Houches for powder among the trees. Here and the Balme area have ideal terrain for trying powder for the first time. There's plenty of easier off piste in the vast bowls served by the Herse chair and Bochard bubble on the Grands Montets too.

The Chamonix valley cuts deeply through Europe's highest mountains and glaciers. Views of the towering, jagged peaks and tumbling glaciers are stunning, both from the mountains and the town. The best place to see Mont Blanc, the Alps' highest peak, is from the Brévent ski area across the valley. And no one should miss a trip up the Aiguille du Midi cable car for the stunning views.

As there are several separate ski areas, unless you are based next to one and stick to it, you have to drive or take a bus or train each day (free with a guest card). The Chamonix Le Pass ticket covers most of the lifts in four of the local areas, but a six-day Mont Blanc Unlimited pass, about an extra €50, covers these plus Les Houches, the Aiguille du Midi, unlimited use of the cable car to the top of the Grand Montets, Courmayeur in Italy and Verbier in Switzerland.

Chamonix could not be more different from the typical purpose-built French resort. It's a bustling town, busy with climbers in summer as well as skiers and boarders in winter. The car-free centre is full of atmosphere, with cobbled streets and squares, beautiful old buildings and pavement cafés, and a wide choice of accommodation.

Several separate mountains; pistes in each area are quite limited; bad weather can shut the best runs; still some old lifts and queues; few good mountain restaurants; busy town with lots of road traffic.
