About the area

Very desirable area in Charleston due to quaint village living and low traffic to best beaches, the Peninsula, airport and most surrounding areas. This historic neighborhood, dating back to the 1800's is draped with Spanish moss from the old oak trees lining the streets and yards. Parks in the village include the old Pitt Street Bridge, Alhambra Hall Park, and other green spaces throughout. There are neighborhood baseball fields and dog parks speckling the Old Village. Churches, small historic cemeteries, and town-owned recreation buildings and facilities make the Old Village one of the most desirable addresses in Charleston. Historic Pitt Street is a tiny shopping and dining area, home to the The Old Village Post House Restaurant, the Village Bakery and the Pitt Street Pharmacy.

“1510 Lorenzo St., Mt. Pleasant, S.C.”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2016

This home was absolutely perfect for our 8 day stay. Extremely clean and everything you need is provided. Plus it was pet friendly for our 2 small Yorkies. Located near everything you may need. Publix, CVS, restaurants, shops and historic places to visit. Also I short 15 minute drive to downtown. Melissa, the owner, responds very quick to any questions or needs you may have. Fully enjoyed our visit and would certainly reserve again with hesitation.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much Larry! I'm so happy you enjoyed our vacation home and its great location! I hope you will return to visit.

“Mt Pleasant Duplex”

Very pleased with this rental. I've never stayed at location where virtually everything you needed was right there for you (ie spices in Kitchen, soap in bath and laundry detergent in laundry. The beds were most comfortable and you couldn't have a more convenient location!

Owner's reply: Thank you Debby! It was so nice of you to take the time to review our home. I'm so happy you enjoyed your vacation stay and appreciated the extras we provide. We hope to see you again! Melissa

“Just what we wanted”

I needed a house rental close to attractions, where my family could eat meals and save some money. Worked out perfectly for us. The homeowner worked with us on early check in, she even checked on us after arrival to make sure everything was OK. Will definitely use again in future.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much Ron! It's nice of you to take the time to review our home. I'm so happy an earlier check in worked out and that you enjoyed this area as much as we do. It's the BEST! Look forward to seeing you again!

Good value for the money. Very accommodating owner who was flexible with early checkin and late checkout. Great location. Comfortable. Pet friendly was a big plus. Could use some newer bed sheets and kitchen towels. Good referrals for restaurants.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review. We are OBSESSED about having good, high quality, $$$ bed linens and will purchase more. Kitchen towels too. :) I'm happy to accommodate early arrivals and late checkouts whenever possible. Melissa

“wonderful location with affordable price”

We had a wonderful time spending a week visiting mt pleasant. The location of the property was convenient to everything we had planned. We had an unexpected issue with an appliance and the owner was quick to respond and address or needs. We have visited the charleston area multiple times and are glad to have found an affordable alternative to pricey hotels and allows us to bring our little dog with us. We will definitely us this location again when we return in the future.

Owner's reply: Seriously, best guests of all time! I'm glad you found our home too! Thank you Mike. Looking forward to seeing you again!

We were very happy with this rental. This duplex is clean, quiet, very comfortable and well equipt. We felt "at home" while staying here. It is close to many activities in either direction, the beach or downtown Charlston. We would highly recommend staying at this rental.

Owner's reply: I'm so happy you enjoyed your stay! We love this area so much as do all the locals~ voted #1 neighborhood to live in Charleston! Thank you for taking the time to review our property.

“Nice home, good location”

We spent 1 week during Thanksgiving in this nice duplex. It was comfortable and private. The home is in a nice neighborhood, quiet yet close to everything. We had everything we needed-easy in, easy out. Take a short ride (or walk) down to old town Mt. Pleasant....it is lovely! You could not be better situated than this home. We were very comfortable.

I brought my family of five to vacation and see the sights. The half of the duplex we rented was fantastic. We had everything we needed and more. Melissa thought of everything except for planning our meals. We would definately rent again.

“Great Rental !!!”

As the title says, Great Home, Great Location, Great Price. We stayed 6 days and had a great time. The location in Mt. Pleasant was close to everything we wanted. Found some great places to eat in Mt. Pleasant and elsewhere. Quiet area and close to Isle of Palms beaches and Charleston. We came to the area to find an apartment for our son and found one the second day. Spent the rest of the time exploring the area. Rental was close to everything. Would recommend this rental to others.

This was a terrific place for us to stay during our month of house hunting in the area. We enjoyed the neighborhood and proximity to downtown so much that we bought a home a few blocks away!! Thank you!

As a former resident, I really enjoyed staying in the quiet area of "old" Mount Pleasant. The neighborhood and location was great for walking our dog, walking to grocery stores and restaurants, easy access to the beaches, and bike riding. The house itself was perfect for us, and our pup enjoyed the large yard. Even with a tropical storm overhead, we had a nice visit in this cozy rental.
