Description of the Charleston vacation home rental
OCEANFRONT in CHARLESTON, SC - OCEAN BOULEVARD'S OCEANFRONT HOMES ARE THE CLOSEST LEGALLY POSSIBLE ON THE ISLAND,
ELEGANT, YET, COMFORTABLE

CHARLESTON OFFERS THE BEST OF ALL WORLDS: INCREDIBLE BEACHES,
YEAR ROUND FESTIVALS- ART & MUSIC, HISTORIC SIGHTSEEING, WORLD CLASS DINING.

This spacious home on beachfront is designed for a large gathering of family and/or friends. The main living area, warmed by heart-of-pine bead-board and flooring, has four sofas to accommodate hanging-out and visiting. Antique dining table seats 10-16 with five stools at the adjoining kitchen counter/bar (plus a high chair for tots).

Both areas look out over the set-down screen porch with tables, chairs, rockers, hammock, and sundeck onto the beautiful white beach and ocean. You are close enough to watch older kids and/or friends swim or play horse shoes on the beach from inside the home. Ask about shared pool.

PRIVACY!
Designed for congregating, this home also offers individual privacy. Each of the five adult bedrooms has its own TV with cable, 2 with DVDs; four of these have ocean views and three have doors onto the upper level deck. The large kid's room has been painted to resemble an aquarium. It has two sets of bunks with trundles under each, and TV/DVD.

The underneath of this home is a grill-out, hang-out, play area, white washed and open-air, 14 ft ceiling. It has 2 gas grills, 1 charcoal, propane streampot cooker, a tiki bar area, cd/mp3 player, ping pong table, hammock chairs, and various outdoor/beach games, as well as outdoor table and chairs. We keep 4-6 beach chairs (along with the resin adirondacks that are great for beach), a large cooler, and an awesome all-terain Wonder Wheeler to tote your things across your private boardwalk and down the dune. I also have info for a service that will set you up with wood and canvas loungers and umbrellas each morn.

Bedroom breakdown:
1 king master BR with ocean view on main floor (other 5 BRs are upstairs)
4 Queen BRs, 3 with oceanfront view (2 have loveseats which have been also used as toddler beds)
(1 without ocean view)
6 twin beds in kid's room (2 sets of bunks with trundles; plus a port-a-crib for tots).

Bed linens and bath towels are provided. We provide a Limited amount of start-up paper goods, soaps, etc.

We are set up to very comfortably accommodate 10 adults with 4-6 children, or 12 adults MAX. Isle of Palms now strictly enforces their CODES which limit the number of guests in all rentals. We may only exceed 16 guests for children 2 years or younger. Guests risk a fine for violating the Codes.

LOCATION... LOCATION... LOCATION!

We choose this specific spot to build for the closest legal proximity to the beach (17 yds down our private boardwalk), safe swimming areas, and non-crowded privacy from the commercial area, a 3/4 mile walk.

(Please note: there is a seperate 1 BR corporate apt attached to, but fire-walled and sound-proofed from, the main house. This is not available for rental, and will be empty during your stay. Ask for more details.)

Private chef and other concierge services are available.

Trade Winds is the perfect beach house. Much nicer than the property pictures. Would not change a thing in the home. All rooms well decorated and had first class amenities. So much room that do not feel cramped up at all. Was only 10 of us. All rooms great but the best room for me was the air conditioned huge back porch. Just so comfortable. Beach access is great. Would rent again if any need arise or just for vacation! Avocet are great property managers and good to deal with!

Our large group of friends (6 couples) met at IOP at this lovely house for a reunion last May. We so enjoyed our rooms upstairs on the beach and the balcony on the ocean just outside of our doors. Several couples also enjoyed the double Jacuzzi tub - very romantic bath. The house was beautifully decorated with a mixture of antique and "beachy" furnishings and all of the linens were provided and lovely. The Kitchen, Living Room and Dining Room all look out on the Atlantic and the decks and porches are also quite comfortable. The bottom floor too, which is under the house provides entertainment with ping pong, hanging swings and many toys and beach chairs. The beach here is private and lovely and just a few steps away from the house. I definitely would return to this charming white house with the red tin roof - a true Island Experience.

From the moment we entered this lovely home, we knew we had rented the perfect vacation home. From the expansive ocean views to the elegant yet peaceful décor, this home was everything we wanted and more. All of our comforts were taken care of with a large kitchen with top of the line appliances, a dining room large enough to seat our big crew, two seating areas for intimacy and comfort, and bedrooms large enough to feel you had the place to yourself. I give this home my highest rating and would go back in a heartbeat!!

Wonderful beach house!
I cannot express how much I love this house! We used it for a group of girl friends for a 15year reunion and 50 year birthday weekend. The decor is comfortable, the screened in porch is fabulous, and the beach is wonderful. The owner was delightful to work with and we hope to be invited back next year! The sleeping arrangements were perfect for our group of friends! We want to move there permanently!

Weekend stay for our wedding in the home.
This home was perfect for our event. There is a big room with a huge window overlooking the ocean. Our wedding was held in this spot. 40 persons were accommodated easily for the event, including the catered meal. The owner was friendly, professional, and accommodating. The master bedroom is downstairs, separated from the main room, and all other bedrooms are upstairs. This made it easy to prepare the living room area for the wedding.

Enchanted Beach House
This lovely home really did feel enchanted and filled with good karma. Our blended family stayed there for a week and found the house to be extremely comfortable and spacious. It is beautifuly decorated and has incredible views of the ocean from almost every room. The property is conviently located and close to restaurants on Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island and only 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. We had our wedding and reception there and it was PERFECT. Every one of our guests said it was a stunning venue and backdrop to a lovely wedding. Susan was delightful to work with and was very responsive to any requests. I highly recommend this vacation home. In fact, I'm hoping we can rent it again next year.

Fantastic family beach vacation!
We have been gathering our family at Isle of Palms every summer for 25 years. We have rented this wonderful, comfortable, delightful home for the past several years. It is absolutely oceanfront on the quiet end of the island away from the traffic of Palm Boulevard. We love the huge window looking out to the ocean, the fabulous screen porch, the many sofas to lounge around, the ping pong table, the great dining table for games, puzzles, morning paper and coffee, and of course eating shrimp! The beds are comfortable and clean. There is ample bathroom space for all with plentiful towels. The two refrigerators and the pantry allow plenty of space for drinks and coolers to hang out waiting for their trip to the beach. The owner is great to work with and responds quickly to any questions or needs. I highly recommend this property and look forward to returning every summer!

It has been two months since my vacation to Charleston, SC and I am grateful for the memories. This was my first rental experience and Susan was amazing. She was the consummate professional and provided me with an easy to comprehend rental agreement with reasonable terms. I felt like I had my own personal concierge as she helped me plan my “girlfriend getaway beach house vacation”. The house was amazing; in fact, I do not think the pictures do it justice. I invited along five of my closest girlfriends and we were all thrilled to have our own bedrooms. Susan recommended a local massage therapist and we had him come over in the mornings to give us massages on the screened in porch. The massages were heavenly as we listened to the sound of the waves and smelled the ocean air. Susan also advised us about historic walks and carriage rides in Charleston (only 10 miles away by car), historic Plantations (Boone Hall was only 15 minutes away) and the best places to eat (a short walk into town). We loved the Isle of Palms; it was clean, quiet and conveniently located. I loved stepping out into our beach backyard and going for morning swims and sunset walks. On our last day we took a Morris Island Lighthouse Tour with Charleston Outdoor Adventures. I highly recommend the various tours they offer, this one in particular was focused on ecology and we learned about the importance of the estuary and got up close to 32 dolphins. In summary, this was a perfect vacation, we were able to relax and enjoy the ocean front house and visit historic sites around Charleston. I appreciated Susan’s efforts in making sure my first time was a positive experience.

Comfy beach home with lovely ocean views
We were three brothers and families in Charleston for a wedding and had a wonderful vacation in this comfortable beach home. Plenty of space for the eleven of us. Great location for IOP and Charleston restaurants and shopping.
