Description of the Charleston vacation b&b rental
The readers of Conde Nast's Traveler magazine recently honor Charleston with the #2 "Top Travel Destination in the US" (topped only by San Francisco). Come see why this fantastic City, where history lives, is recognized as the top East Coast travel destination.

My home, SilverWing, was built in 1865 by a recently freed/former unmarried woman slave, and has been showcased on the Radcliffeborough Historic Homes tour. There are many such 'Freedmen's Cottages' in this section of the downtown historic district. The configuration is architecturally known as a 'Charleston Single Home,' and is located in this Upper King Street residential neighborhood.

The private bedroom features an antique double bed for two, and has its own private bathroom and sitting room (reference photos as attached). It also offers access to the upper level porch with outdoor seating when the weather permits. Entrance is through the home's front door with a private staircase leading directly to your room. Included is the nightly fee is private (driveway) parking. The location provides the capability to walk to all downtown locations. Hip bars, restaurants, clubs, the Visitor's Center and the lively Saturday Morning Farmer's Market are all within a three block radius. I serve a continental breakfast every morning (muffins, fruit, yogurt, coffee or tea) included in the daily rental price. No other fees apply.

If you require assistance with restaurant recommendations and/or reservations, tickets for special expos or festivals, suggested itineraries which map to the duration of your stay and points of interest, etc., I am happy to assist.

Please send a profile or questions through the "Contact Me" link before actually booking. I'll respond quickly, and when you're decided, you can then click the "Book It" button.

Area Information
Radcliffeborough is one of the historic neighborhoods. Warren Street is the epicenter of the district, with the prominent Catherdral of St. Paul & St. Luke dominating the lovely street scene. The location provides the capability to walk to all downtown locations. Hip bars, restaurants, clubs, the Visitor's Center and the lively Saturday Morning Farmer's Market are all within a three block radius. Warren Street, however, is primarily private Charleston Single homes, each one painted a pastel color and beautifully maintained. Clearly one of the gems of the 'North of Calhoun' area.
