Description of the Charleston vacation cottage rental
Located on tidal Noisette Creek on a quiet 1.7 acres of herons, egrets and Southern live oak and pecan trees is this Mid-century Modern small home, furnished in authentic antiques and made in America quality.

Swing over the creek, dine outside along with a mallard diving for red drum, or take a 5 minute stroll to wonderful restaurants including authentic Irish pub, Italian Trattoria, Mexican bistro and artisanal bakery. Its just another 10 minute walk to the historic Navy Yard at Noisette and Riverfront Park with its gracious officers homes, and Victorian industrial buildings, now housing creative startups and non-profits. Or walk to the Farmers Market, the Butterfly Garden or the museum of the Confederate Hunley Submarine.

Uniquely appointed with hotel linens, thick towels, and original period art, furniture and for fun, classic books and games circa 1960, so you can sink back into the dreamy, slower paced life lived at the edge of a small town and experience it for yourself! Modern amenities include Samsung washer-dryer, Italian pump espresso machine, hairdryer and fully equipped kitchen. There is nothing quite like it!

Area Information
The area is transitional with small cottages and also a large open waterfront tract across the street, and four new custom homes also across the street and farther down. A yellow school bus stops on the corner,a half a block down is a public fishing pier (with resident alligator) and at the end of the street is a ratty trailer court. (Elderly residents I spoke to were very nice.)

Three short leafy blocks up is the heart of the Park Circle commercial area, a lively blend of laid back, hip shops and some of the area's most intimate and charming restaurants, and $5 Friday movies (Park Circle Film Society). It is also a three blocks walk to the vibrant Noisette redevelopment at the historic Navy Yard, which a little farther down contains North Charleston's Riverfront Park. Five blocks in the opposite direction is Park Circle, with Tuesday Farmers Market, Friday folk dances, and an indoor swimming pool.

You will need a car to get into downtown Charleston, golf or beaches but a company will deliver rental bicycles and kayaks for a fee.
