Swim, fish, bike or just plain relax at this comfortable retreat in Chatham. In a quiet, wooded setting, cooled by the breezes from the pond, window AC's and ceiling fans,

the home's open floor plan is well suited for gathering. The first floor of this home includes the living room, dining room, well equiped kitchen with eating area, family room, a spacious three season room with 5 sliders, full bath, laundry and deck with pond views for outdoor living. All three bedrooms and another full bath are on the second floor, allowing those guests who want a little extra shut eye to be undisturbed by the activity below. All hardwood floors throughout the home. The 43 acre pond is visible from many rooms in the house. Guests can enjoy the large private deck w/views of the pond off the Master bedroom. Two full baths, enclosed outdoor shower, fresh bed linens, lots of fluffy towels, a washer and dryer on the first floor, beach towels, coolers, totes, and beach chairs, make your stay very comfortable. No need to carry your fishing gear too far - path across from driveway takes you to Goose Pond which is trout stocked by the state. Swim right here at an almost private beach surrounded by 325 acres of conservation land or at Life Guard protected Schoolhouse Pond which is is a short walk or take a short ride to one of Chatham's four nearby salt water beaches. The entrance to the bike trail and Recreational Park with new skate board area is very close by as well. Bike trail for biking, running,in line skating or walking, can be reached without going on main roads. Staying in? The home offers a large library of books, games, DVDs and VCRs for your use. Chatham's unique main street offers various shops for browsing or shopping, Monomoy Theatre, library, museums, coffee houses and many restaurants to choose from. Rental of paddleboards, kayaks and bicycles is avaible from a close by shop that will deliver and pickup if desired.

There are varied wildlife activities as well: seal watching, whale watching, the Monomoy Wildlife Refuge on Morris Island, with tours to Monomoy Island, a bird sanctuary. Chatham is a fishing village and you can watch the boats unload around 4:00 o'clock most days at the fish pier. Seals are very often visible here as well. A visit to the MARCONI Museum is a very interesting look into Chatham's part in communication's history.
