“Cozy and comfortable cottage-easy walk to beach.”

Reviewed 30 Sep 2016

The cottage was located only about 1/2 mile from Cockle Cove Beach. It sits in a small private, loop road, surrounded by trees and beyond the trees is the beginnings of a salt marsh. The kitchen is very functional and there's a nice sized dining area with seating for 4 people. The enclosed porch is a big plus and has plenty of seating, a table and chairs for dining for 2 and a television. It's a perfect place for curling up with a good book and enjoying the views. There is no central A/C but there are window air conditioners in both bedrooms. When we arrived, the temperature was very humid, so closing the porch door and putting on both air conditioners with bedroom doors open, provided cool air throughout the cottage. I do advise bringing your own comfy bed pillows and if you can, a floor fan for the porch. We bought one at Benny's hardware store and it helped circulate the air on the porch nicely. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

“Off Season”

We have rented this cottage multiple time. It is on a quiet street with a veiw of the salt marsh; a short walk from the beach. We love to watch the birds and dragon flies and relax.

“Great vacation”

Lovely quiet cottage overlooking a beautiful salt marsh on a dead end road. Comfortable beds, big screened in porch. Great location near Chatham center. Nice clean beach at end of the road. Would definitely stay here again

“Great Cape Fix”

Reviewed 6 Jul 2012

Spent a week in Chatham. Quiet, relaxing, near beach. The house was perfect. With lots of cable channels and WiFi there was lots to do after dark. Very close to the Rail Trail and village shopping, which is some of the finest on the Cape. I may go back next year for 2 weeks!

“Ides of March”

Reviewed 8 Aug 2011

We thorougly enjoyed this home. We have been renting in the area for 8+ years and this is by far one of the best cottages we have rented. The sunroom is such a relaxing place to enjoy the marsh and environment. The bedrooms are very comfortable with ample storage space. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils, dishes and pots and pans. The kitchen also has a dishwasher, washer and dryer. There is a very nice and spacious yard, with bunnies that come to visit daily. This home was very easy to maintain and would definitely rent again.
