About the area

The lodge has over 2,500 sq. ft. of decks and porches so no matter what time of day it is you can find some shade or sun to relax in a rocker or chair. The covered front porch is great if it's raining to listen to the rain on the metal roof or to watch the sun set over Lookout Mountain. The back screened in porch is awesome to enjoy birdwatching or listening to the sounds of nature. The enclosed porch has the foosball table and sauna and outdoor game equipment and the 3 balcony decks are great for a morning cup of coffee to start your day. The large side deck has incredible views year round as you can see to the end of the cove. The back patio has the hot tub and leads to the 36 ft inground pool that is exclusively for your use. The pool is the place to be for all ages either wearing out the young ones or relaxing for the older ones. Also in the back is the fire pit and outdoor fireplace which provide endless hours of memories while relaxing and roasting marshmallows. There is 3 acres of front yard space for kids to roam and play games as well as the woods to explore. Take a mile hike on the property that goes through the woods and across the lower pasture to Chickamauga Creek which is on the property. The creek is 30 feet wide and usually is only a few feet deep. The kids love to play in the creek and look for animals and their footprints. Also, searching for arrowheads is a popular endeavor around the creek as well. Anytime of year is a great time to visit The Lodge of McClemore's Cove as this area is beautiful year round and there are abundant activities to enjoy. PLEASE NOTE: THE INSTANT QUOTE IS BASED ON 16 PEOPLE AND IS FOR THE LODGE ONLY.

“The Perfect Getaway with Friends and Family”

Reviewed 22 Jun 2016

My son got married near Chattanooga and all our relatives and friends who traveled to the wedding were able to stay with us in this big beautiful lodge! My son and his groomsmen stayed in the extra cabin on the property. It couldn't have been more perfect! We stopped at Walmart on the way in (8 miles away) and bought groceries. The first night we all sat by the pool as the sun went down the fireflies started appearing - that was magical! We had wonderful long breakfasts on the big deck in the refreshing morning air. During the day some of us went to Chattanooga to see the sights while others toured the site of the Civil War Battle of Chattanooga outside of Chickamauga at the National Military Park just down the road. There were several that went to Ruby Falls, an amazing cave and waterfall park. So many wonderful places to visit are nearby. We all slept comfortably in the many bedrooms. Large meals were easy to prepare with two kitchens and a large dining room plus the beautiful deck. Getting ready for the wedding ceremony was a breeze with the ironing board and plenty of closet space to hang our formal wear. We are all ready to do this all over again! Our 3 nights at the Lodge went by way too fast. We have wonderful memories, beautiful photographs and we are all so much closer to each other no matter how far apart we live because our hearts are tied together by our time here at The Lodge of McClemore's Cove.
