Description of the Chicago vacation apartment rental
For the discerning, design-oriented individual only. If you require a doorman, an elevator, an attached gym, or concierge, this is not the apartment for you. For those of you with daring and discriminating tastes with a distaste for the beaten path, please read on, and revel in your discovery. This penthouse has been immaculately and sumptuously appointed with exceptional post-modern tastes, enclosed within a classic 1895 Chicago 4-story walk-up brick building. The stainless kitchen, replete with VIKING dual-fuel range/oven, Amana french door Bottom Freezer, Fisher-Paykel 2 DRAWER Dishwasher, industrial dish sprayer faucet, convenient water pot-filler over range, and custom glass and steel cabinetry truly make this a chef's fantasy. An elevated dining bar and mod pneumatic stools round out the kitchen. Onyx tile and GROHE thermostatically controlled fixtures with body spray and rainshower adorn the whirlpool tub. The one-of-kind custom pedestal sink, never-cold cork floor, custom cabinetry, heated vent, and Whirlpool Duet stacked WASHER/DRYER, transform the bathroom into a ethereal experience. The bedroom boasts an ample, well-organized closet, massive modern chest of drawers, and slick queen bedframe with MEMORY FOAM mattress. In the main living area, funky italian leather furniture surrounds the 56"HDTV, and the audiophile quality stereo provides mind-bending surround sound. The corner-mounted desk offers a colossal work surface and generous storage for books and files, and the adjacent sliding glass wardrobe permits obsessive-compulsive sartorial organization. The custom lighting throughout highlights the soaring ceiling, exposed beams, brick, and ductwork, and features a hand-blown Italian glass fixture, and Louis Poulsen's iconic Artichoke above the front entry. Sweeping skyline views abound from every east-facing window, and western sunsets illuminate the amazing domed cathedrals of Ukrainian Village. Some of the city's best restaurants and cafes are in close proximity, namely May St. Market, Coal-Fire Pizza, The West Town Tavern, and Sip Coffeehouse, to name a few. Corporate coffee is a mere 2 blocks, if you prefer. The entrance to highway 90/94 is one block, and the Chicago stop of the BLUE LINE is 2 blocks, availing downtown Chicago in 12 minutes, and O'Hare in 40. The Ogden exit of the highway virtually deposits you at our doorstep. Restaurant row and the west loop are within walking distance, and Wicker Park and Bucktown are one and two stops, respectively, on the train. The neighborhood is safe, quiet, and convenient to everything. There's ample unzoned parking, and this unit INCLUDES OFF-STREET PARKING SPOT. More pictures and details are readily available, and a showing can be arranged at your leisure. Available December 1st, and I will consider shorter leases, but would prefer a minimum of one year. A substantial security deposit is required, and a thorough credit check, rental history, and review of references will be performed. Feel free to call or respond via email to inquire or set an appointment. Thanks for being bad-ass enough to read on.
