Description of the Clayton vacation home rental
Veterans Day weekend is still available!! 3 night minimum stay. Fall colors at their peak during this time. In addition, golf is now open to the public at Kingwood Country Club and Resort. Stay at a 2850 sq. foot home for less than the price of a 2 BR condo!!
Check out the Tallulah Gorge whitewater releases the first three weekends in November! Kayakers from all over the world come to challenge the extreme falls created by the releases. You can view this in action from either rim of the gorge! Breathtaking! Ve!teran's Day weekend is still available! Don't miss this opportunity
Rates have been cut for November 7-20th!! 3 night minimum stay.

The best fall colors can be found in Northeast Georgia! The panoramic view from our beautiful, spacious home is just the beginning. Hiking, trout fishing, ziplining, whitewater rafting, renting a pontoon boat and cruising around Lake Burton or Lake Rabun with the mountains rising around you, horseback riding, and family style dining at The Dillard House are just a few of the many things to do within an easy driving distance of our Mountain Paradise. One special and unique attraction an hour's drive away is The Great Smokey Mountain Railroad in Bryson City, N.C. Adults and children will step back in time and ride either a steam or diesel powered train through the mountains enjoying lunch and creating memories!

Mountain Paradise is centrally located to Helen, Ga (30 miles away), Highlands, North Carolina (24 miles away) and Cherokee, North Carolina (54 miles away.) Here you can enjoy the beauty and serenity of the mountains without the tourist traffic, and still be able to visit your favorite spots in North Georgia.

Mountain Paradise is located at the highest point of Kingwood Country Club and Resort. As you make your last turn to the property and begin your climb you will be overwhelmed with awe at the magnificence of how far you can see in every direction when you reach the top. The sheer beauty is indescribable. National Forests surround you. You will feel like you have entered a world all to yourself and your family!
The front porch beckons you with rockers looking out across the beautiful mountains!
Our home was built with so many extra touches and thoughts put into providing a setting for relaxing in spacious rooms looking out over breathtaking views. The gourmet kitchen creates a focal point for preparing, serving and enjoying your meals with family or friends. The large living area has comfortable seating with all reclining furniture. To make the setting even cozier in the winter there is a Buck propane gas stove that looks and feels like a natural wood burning stove.

The living area and master bedroom suite opens onto the back balcony which extends the full width of the house from each area. Off the Master Bedroom is another over sized area, the master bathroom. It provides a large walk in shower with seat, a garden tub, and a double sink in a long counter area.

Overlooking the great room is a loft with a daybed, work surface and comfortable desk chair. Also provided is a monitor and printer. The view from the loft is breath taking also.
At the foot of the stairs coming down from the loft is a large half bath.

There is a staircase to the ground floor leading into the large family room. This room has a 55" LED TV with ROKU including Netflix, stereo and DVD player. A stone gas fireplace faces the large area for warmth in the cool months. A Foosball table is provided for further entertainment. A movie library is available. There are 2 bedrooms on this level with one large full bath. In addition there is a porch off the lower level for easy access from the driveway.
A final winner is a bench- swing hanging separate from the house for really relaxing and getting away from everything and everybody!

To just stay here is a dream but there are many additional activities that we have enjoyed through the years. Hiking to waterfalls is a must, 2 of which are in the Kingwood property and 120 more within a 50 mile radius. Visiting Tallulah Gorge and hiking down the Gorge and across the swinging bridge is easy and delightful. Seven wineries are close by and so much fun to go taste test and pick your favorites. We have enjoyed Habersham, Twelve Spies, Cane Creek, Tiger, Persimmon Creek, Three Sisters and Sautee Nacoochee.

Zip lining is 12 miles away and a must for those with a little adventure in their bones! White water rafting is available 3 miles away and of course fly fishing is very popular in this part of North Georgia.

Of all the groups that have stayed in this area and our home, some of the most enthusiastic are those who have come for couples' retreats, ministry retreats, women's retreats, and families with children who love the outdoors. We provide a beautiful home and God provides the magnificent setting!

"I will lift up my eyes to the mountains;
From whence shall my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth."
Psalm 121: 1-2
Area Information
The majestic panoramic mountain views from this highest point in Kingwood are unbelievable. The quaint town of Clayton offers fantastic boutiques, local artist's works in galleries, and great restaurants. There are numerous mountain streams all around the area that offer peace and quiet. Just sit and reflect on the beauty around you or maybe fish for trout. There is one great trail down in Kingwood Estates that leads to Laurel Falls, a beautiful waterfall with a bench to sit and enjoy the sound of the falls.
Many enjoy The Dillard House nearby for great family style eating in huge quantities and lots of choices of meats, veggies, salads, and desserts all for one price! In addition there is a petting farm, horseback riding and a Community theater all in the same area. Another popular stop close by is Goats on the Roof , a unique tourist shop with gifts, T shirts and the area on the roof for petting, and feeding goats, is ranked #1 in Trip Advisor for a place to visit in the area!
