Family Reunion

July 24, 2016

From the 1st time I spoke with Debbie White and all through the trip, Debbie was impeccable. Even though our family had a few issues, she was always kind and very accommodating. I don't know what all to say, as Debbie was a gracious host and nobody should ever fear renting from her. She is the BEST!!! I will definitely use her in the future, next time my family comes down.

Ms. White (Debbie) is a pleasure to deal with. Very understanding & accommodating. #412 is a very comfortable place! I had 10 people staying there w/no space issues. We also used #408 & #410 for our last 2 days. Again, plenty of space for all. Dock was nice to go out to & try to see and/or catch & release crabs, snails, fish, etc. Plenty of wildlife to watch (birds, fish, etc.)! Will definitely recommend and book again!!!! It's a relief to know that not all advertised rental properties are a scam. I was concerned to the very arrival point, due to coming from PA and having no face to face contact. Ms. White is a REAL person and does the best she can to assist you and your family/party. VERY, VERY PLEASED WITH OVERALL EXPERIENCE!!! The only recommendation I would have would be, possibly incorporating some way to achieve slightly better A/C airflow in #408 & #410. The bedrooms can get a bit warm at times. Still, GREAT PROPERTY! If you have the opportunity to stay DO IT!!!!!!!

Owner's reply:

I was very pleased to accommodate your family reunion and so happy for you, not many families have 5 generations all together having fun at Disney, the beaches and other fun activities. A long time volunteer and dog owner it is always a pleasure to know like minded people. Your dedication as a volunteer is truly respected and welcome you back.

Great boating location, beach islands close by as well as Caladesi Beach State Park. Easy accesses to the Gulf of Mexico. Quiet, good safe family location. This home is well equipped and fun.. Our Grandchildren enjoyed it too, especially when the dolphins came near the dock. Walk or cycle to restaurants. An easy drive to the airport and Orlando.

Fantastic boating, great 3 bedroom home

Rating: 5 of 5

So nice to have my boat at the dock. Great fishing in the Gulf of Mexico waters. Fantastic views when I'm not on my boat. So relaxing to get away from my law practice. Family enjoyed this 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. We return every year.

Peaceful and Safe for a Lady Alone

Rating: 5 of 5

It is so relaxing to listen and wait for the dolphins to come into the basin. The deck, patio and home have a beautiful view looking north to the Gulf of Mexico. Sunsets are an event each day. This is a great home to entertain. I rent a boat each time I visit; it is great to just hop into the boat and go...no fuss, no work. The little islands with beaches nearby are like having my own island. Walking along Edgewater is so pretty. And wonderful cycling streets and Pinellas Trail. This home is well equipped and a whole lot better than staying in a hotel. Jane

Fun, Relaxing, Safe
Rating 5 of 5
We stayed for the whole month of November, as we do each year. We found everything as the owner said, and more. Just gazing to the Gulf of Mexico is relaxing. The renovations and complete painting of exterior and interior is calming and inviting in this Florida style property. Dolphins came close to the dock often. Seeing a mother dolphin and young dolphin in their natural habitat is a wonder. Listen for the big splash dolphins make. Manatee enter the basin quietly so you have to look for them near the mangrove. We have a boat and kayaks. Even in the kayaks we could reach the beach islands just west of the home in minutes and it did not take long to get to Caladesi Beach State Park. We boat to Clearwater Beach and Dunedin restaurants and out into the Gulf of Mexico. Cycling and walking in the neighborhood and along Edgewater is great and the Pinellas Trail access is just two blocks away. We recommend a visit to the Clearwater Marine Rescue Aquarium where you will see Winter and the other marine life. This home is well equipped with gold rimmed china, cooking utensils, electronics, linens and towels in 3 linen closets. Our grandchildren visited again as they do each year we stay here and with a ladder at the end of the dock they swim in the salt water at high tide. It is a safe family area.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Are you close to Winter the star of the Dolphin Tale movie?
A: Yes we are very close to Winter at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, in fact some of the movie crew stayed with us during the filming. Dolphin Tale 2 will be released in the Fall of 2014. We hope you can make time to visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Winter is truly a character and the work they do at the CMA is amazing.
Q: Are the beaches good?
A: The Clearwater Beaches win awards every year, for good reason. If you want bustling activity Pier 60 is the place to be but if you want quiet beach then you will enjoy North Beach. And if you want desolate beach, an island of your own, boat to the nearby islands on the intra-coastal. There are a number of islands with beaches close to the house.
Q: Where can we fish?
A: You can fish from the dock, fish in the intra-coastal or fish in the Gulf of Mexico.
Q: What activities can we do?
A: Golf, shopping, museums, 2 hours to Disney and other theme parks, 1/2 hour to Busch Gardens, so many sites to see. Beaches, baseball, football, hockey, shopping, art galleries, theatre, much culture.
Q: Are you close to the airport?
A: Yes and it is an easy 20 minute drive to and from the Tampa International airport.
Q: Can I swim from the dock?
A: Yes, it is the same salt water everywhere (no alligators) and there is a ladder at the end of the 2nd dock to make it easy to swim or get in or out of a kayak or canoe
Q: Is this a good walking and cycling area?
A: Yes, Old Clearwater Bay neighborhood is great for walking or cycling, as is Edgewater along the water to the north. The Pinellas Trail is just a few short blocks awaymiles and miles of walking or cycling trail.
Q: Can I walk to the beach?
A: Yes you can walk or cycle or take the Trolley or boat to any of the beaches including the small islands just west of this property, like having your own island.
Q: Are there any alligators?
A: No this is salt water, no alligators in the Gulf of Mexico waters.
