Cocoa Beach Vacation

May 9, 2014

We all had a great time.Home had plenty of room for 2,3 and 6 year old boys. They played in yard for many hours with lizards, mom and her two kittens, who were born in palm trees by hot tub.Boys also enjoyed baby pool and hot tub when tub cooled down.Grandma,Grandpa and daughter liked quite times in front and back yard reading, sunning, eating and resting.Hot tub was heaven before bed time. Two minutes to beach and short car ride to all the fun and food you can ever use.We loved the home and the area.Beach and parking at beach park were free.I,papa, drove the car to beach park many morning to walk on beach and see sunrises.Thank you for renting your private beautiful home to us. better than cruise

October 26, 2013

at first I thought this was a scam, this house was just wonderful, beautiful ,so relaxing, the beds were great the living room was big enough, and the kitchen was nice, but the hot tub and grill was the topping on the cake and the beach was less than a 2 minutes walk.Dr. Bowers had made this so easy for us,most useful information, thank you so much for allowing us in your home,we still talk about the house more than our cruise, can't wait until we return.

Great Condo by Cocoa Beach!

August 12, 2013

My family stayed in this condo for 2 nights prior to leaving on our Cruise to the Bahamas. It was a very lovely place that allowed us to spread out and have our own space. The nice, modern kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed from cookware to dishtowels to dish soap, as was the rest of the house which also offered a washer and dryer, beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach toys, etc. They also have bikes, though we didn't ride them. The rate was very reasonable - $99 per night ($125 with the cleaning fee figured in.) It is really close to a beautiful, quiet stretch on Cocoa Beach (walking distance), which was a pleasant surprise. The owner was very easy to work with and quickly answered my emails. He also returned my full deposit immediately after receiving the house key back. They have a binder full of Cocoa Beach recommendations that make it easier to find your way around. I'm so glad they recommended Fishlips restaurant. It was a fun place to eat on the water and has yummy, inexpensive crab leg dinners. The other thing I really liked about this place is that they were willing to rent to use for only 2 nights. Most other places required at least a 3-day minimum. The 10:00 am checkout is a little early, but I'm realizing it's fairly standard in most Florida condo complexes and ended up working out just fine for us since we had to return our rental car and catch a shuttle to the cruise port. I would highly recommend this place. It is clean, spacious, well-furnished, comfortable, and the owners are very easy to work with! A great find in Cape Canaveral and sure beats staying in a cramped hotel!

Amazing...can't wait to go back!

June 13, 2011

The pictures are perfect of the townhome; very clean and well-kept. Our family loved our time in Cocoa Beach. Given the close proximity to the beach and other attractions, the townhome met all of our needs. The owner was very helpful and returned my deposit in a timely manner. Words can not express how much we loved the townhome and hope to come back next year!

Easter Break

April 25, 2011

My husband and I went to the Seaside Escape with our two cousins (Ages of us all are 25-27) Our family was staying at The Resort on Cocoa Beach so we went their daily. The backyard was small but we were only out their once for a cook-out. The house is beautiful, very clean and the rooms were large. We has access to beach chairs and towels, and umbrellas which really worked out when we went to the beach. We took some jogs on the beach and it was a nice jog (if you go in the early AM) The weather was amazing, 85 and higher each day. We had a nice time. We rented a car to get around the area. Everything is within a 7 mile drive and one street.

Made All The Difference

March 7, 2011

My wife had to have surgery in Florida at Merrit Island. At first we were going to fly, but then decided to drive, take some family members with us and try to rent a house instead of staying at a motel/hotel. The first two nights in hotels we dealt with drunks and dogs. Then we moved into the Seaside Escape, which kept us all on speaking terms and made all the difference in our stay. Literally a block from the beach. To me, the perfect location. It is a beautiful home. My wife was able to enjoy the beach before her surgery and relax for a short time after. I really appreciate Dr. and Mrs. Bowers letting us rent their home on relatively short notice. I will definitely be contacting them on a "real" vacation. Sometimes, God directly intervenes in our lives and I personally believe that this is one of those times when He did. Being able to stay close to and enjoy the ocean helps one to appreciate the world He created. T

Excellent Beach Home!
Reviewed by guest from Ohio in September, 2014

Very nice 3 Bedroom 2 Bath Condo. Only 1 block from the Ocean, about a 3 minute walk or a 1 minute bike ride. Garage is stocked with all the Beach stuff you will need- Tandem Bicycle, Wagon, Coolers, Beach Chairs, Large Beach Umbrellas, Boogie Boards all sizes, Sand Castle toys, Kiddie Swimming Pool, Etc. Nice Jacuzzi on the patio in a fenced in back yard right off a double glass sliding door from the downstairs bedroom. Grill for cooking out. Had free WiFi internet access with strong signal a fast speed. About an hour drive to Disney World. I recommend this place highly and would definitely stay here again. This place is just as nice as a fancy resort, except more private and with more room.

Clean, comfortable and close to the beach in Cocoa Beach
Reviewed by a guest from Houston, TX for a stay in August 2014

The home was in very clean condition. Having rented many vacation properties we were pleased with the provisions and amenities that were provided in your home.

We found the kitchen was well equipped with cookware, dishes and such that were all in good condition and the non-perishable things like condiments left behind by the last tenants is a nice policy, as we have stayed at a few places that have next to nothing for guests and a policy that you must remove everything that you brought. We always feel so guilty throwing out perfectly good food or products that did not manage to get consumed.

Although we did not travel or have any children staying with us, we took notice of all the beach toys that were available for the families that would enjoy them. My parents, my wife and I were all there to visit my daughter, son in-law and our four month old grandson, my wife did use the stroller one day to take the baby for a short walk, and we also made use of borrowing a cooler to take with us when we went to do some sailing with my daughter and son in-law.

Although we did not make use of the hot tub it was nice to have it there as we do use ours at our home. The beach was only a short walk as you indicated and we went down there twice.

Thank you again for your consideration and we will look forward to the possibility of renting your home on a future visit to the area.

Best rental house we've stayed in!
Reviewed by guest from Dijon, France for a stay in August 2014

We've had the chance to rent 7 other beach houses in 6 other FL locations and this home provides the best value for the money we've experienced.
Right from the first email contact, the owners have been open and helpful. The photos are very truthful. The house is roomy, clean, well appointed and maintained. It is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood and yet it is very close to the beach (less than a 5 minute-walk with kids and beach gear) and the main roads are very accessible. The fenced backyard is very enjoyable. There are plenty of beach toys, coolers, bicycles. Not to mention the closets in every room... you feel at home very rapidly and having to leave to go back home is heartbreaking.

Deb-Boston, MA-Oct. 2013.
Hello Todd and Dawn! I wanted to write and thank you for allowing us the privilege of staying at your beautiful home October 25-28. The home was a perfect landing spot for our four day visit. Dad was comfortably nested in the downstairs bedroom and I enjoyed the upstairs. We ate our way down the harbor at the three restaurants you recommended...all were excellent and I have not yet had the courage to step on the scale!

Thank you again for being part of a very special time for dad and I. Mom died three years ago and although dad is doing OK and stays active, he is still very lonely after 60 years of marriage. I retired in July so we could spend more time together. He was looking so very forward to this trip, as was I, and it did not disappoint. I think our adventure to Florida was better than either of us could have imagined. It was complemented by your beautiful home near the ocean.

Best to you both!

Beth-Roseville, CA -Sept. 2013
My husband and 4-year-old twins LOVED this townhome. The bedrooms are very large and we really appreciated all the extra amenities provided such as shampoo, toys for the beach including boogie boards, surf boards, a wagon (which my son loved pulling) and even life jackets for the kids. The house is only two blocks from the beach. We also saw a stroller and a pack and play along with a highchair in the closet. There was a queen-sized inflatable mattress and a twin mattress in one of the closets. There is a binder with information on restaurants and local attractions which was very helpful as well. Dr. Bowers was very easy to deal with and responded to my questions quickly. We would definitely recommend this home and will stay there again when in Florida.

This was a very nice townhome. It was just a couple blocks from beach. We also went on Dolphin/Manatee trip from near here which was very good. I would highly recommend this townhome for someone to stay in very clean and good neighborhood.

Review #5069438 "Great place to stay!"
This was our second time staying at Seaside Escape. We loved every minute! A short 2 block walk to the beach, and everything you need is there for your use, coolers, chairs, beach umbrellas (umbrella anchor is genius!), sand toys of all sorts, beach towels, and a cart to wheel it all in. All you need to pack is a toothbrush! The pictures do not do this townhouse justice. The bedrooms are spacious, as is the livingroom. The kitchen has everything you need. Well worth price, a great value compared to a hotel. Hot tub out back is an added bonus! Just south of Port Canaveral, can watch all the cruise ships leave from the beach. Very close to the Cocoa Beach pier, just 2 miles north. Lots of good restaurants and shopping near by. Found a gem, the Vargus Cafe on Atlantic, excellent Cuban food at a great price! Kennedy Space Center was a short drive, did the extra Up Close Tour, got to go into the Vehicle Assembly Building and see Space Shuttle Discovery! Todd and Dawn were great to work with. Great communication. I highly recommend staying at Seaside Escape, it was our second time staying here,, and we will certainly stay again the next time we visit the Cocoa Beach Area.

Had a great time!
We had an excellent time. This place felt like home. The house was clean, the laundry was folded, and the location is excellent. There is a convenience store within walking distance as well as the beach. Perfect for a getaway. Todd and his wife were very helpful and courteous and quickly responded to any questions we had. Great place, and this is coming from a native Floridian.
