Description from owner

Our home is a 2-story, 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath property with an open floor plan on the first level that includes the living room, dining room and kitchen in one space.

There is a large, 48' flat-screen TV in the living room and the house is supplied with satellite TV and Wi-fi. We have central air conditioning, which many Colorado Springs properties do not have because of the temperate weather. But it's nice to have it when you need it. (The house also has central heat.)

The kitchen has every amenity we hope you will need. It has been furnished with three sets of dishes (colored, white and picnic), glasses and goblets, two sets of silverware, a coffeemaker, four-slice toaster, blender and much more.

The dining room table seats six, but there are two additional dining chairs located in the living room and three stools at the breakfast bar. Tablecloths are in the front entry closet. A high chair and pack 'n play are available on request.

Also on the first level is a half-bath and laundry room with washer and dryer. The leather hide-a-bed couch in the living room folds out to a double bed.

Attached to the first level is a two-car garage that has been set up as a game room with ping-pong table, 2 Foosball tables, card table and chairs. The garage/game room adds additional square footage to the 1350 square foot house.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom, which has a 32' flat-screen television, has a queen bed and small attached bathroom with a combination shower/tub. A second bathroom with a combination shower/tub is located off the landing. Two additional bedrooms complete the upstairs. One of those bedrooms has a queen bed and the other bedroom has two twin beds. Each bedroom has drawer storage and closet space with hangers for your clothes. All three bedrooms have been furnished with new, high quality mattresses and linens. High quality towels are in the bathrooms and in a closet on the upstairs landing.

Outside on the front porch there is a porch swing. There is a small flagstone patio with an iron table and two chairs near the porch. In the backyard there is a bbq grill and chair, rustic picnic table and benches. On a sunken concrete patio at the back of the xeriscaped yard there are two iron chairs for comfy reading or relaxing.

There is parking for two cars on the driveway and possibly one to two cars on the street in front of the house.

Across the street is a small grassy park with a picnic table.

Pikes Peak can be seen from the house (filtered views), especially from the top floor.

We are located on the east side of the Springs, about 3 miles east of Powers Boulevard near the intersection of Highway 24 and Constitution.

We are about three miles from all the restaurants and shopping you could need. And, according to Mapquest we are the following distances and times from major attractions (times may vary based on traffic): 9 miles/13 mins to the Olympic Training Center; 10 miles/15 mins to downtown; 13 miles/20 mins to Focus on the Family; 16 miles/22 mins to The Broadmoor; 16 miles/22 mins to Old Colorado City; 15 miles/26 mins to Garden of the Gods; 19 miles/26 mins to Manitou Springs; 18 miles/27 mins to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo; 21 miles/29 mins to the Air Force Academy; 23 miles/31 mins to Cascade where the highway to the top of Pikes Peak begins.

“Just Perfect!”

Reviewed 24 Aug 2016

From the very beginning, Ron and Bev were responsive, informative and made us feel at ease. And when we pulled in the driveway, we were very impressed with the property. Once inside, the accommodations were above our expectations! The house was clean and very comfortable - just perfect for us! It is a great location too. We were just a few minutes to all of the sightseeing we had planned - Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, Glen Eyrie and more. And for the more distant venues like Royal Gorge, it was easy to hop on the highway and get there. We also got to see the mountains each morning from the house - which was its own treat as well! I highly recommend renting this property! You won't be disappointed!

Owner's reply: We are thrilled that you liked our property and had a great time in Colorado Springs! Thanks so much for your review!

This immaculate, colorful, and cozy home located in a quiet neighborhood made for a most pleasant stay. Kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms well stocked; comfortable mattresses. Even light snacks were provided as well as toothbrushes, makeup remover sheets, and a sleeping mask! The view of mountains from upstairs bedroom is breathtaking – especially at 5:30 in morning as the sun reflected a pink tone on mountainside. Enjoyed having morning coffee on front porch swing or back yard picnic bench. The potted flowers added another lovely touch to the beauty of this home. Bev & Ron provided excellent communication and easy entry into this home that is close to COS airport, restaurants, shopping, and major highways. A short drive to Pike's Peak, Garden of the Gods, the Cliff Dwellings, and the Zoo. Thanks Bev & Ron, we’ll be back!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely Colorado home. The house was very clean and the owners were very easy to communicate with and friendly. The kitchen was very well stocked; it even had a small citrus juicer which we used to make lemonade with spring water from Manitou! The house was bright and the orange, yellow, and green colors were cheery. I also appreciate the ease in check out - no long chore list to be done, just basic common sense things were asked. House is easy to find and price was good. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
