The house was impeccable! Super clean and comfy. It was our home away from home. The house also had all the amenities for us to use to cook for our family. The rooftop view is breathtaking. We were very close to all the tourist sites. The home owner, Debbie is so easy to work and accommodating. We hope to return very soon!

We much enjoyed our time at your lovely and very comfortable home-away-from home-away, Counting Stars. We had everything we needed plus. Our hosts greeted us with a fresh baked treat to add to the initial welcome! Staying here helped make our vacation a lovely experience. We enjoyed our coffee watching the sunrise on the rooftop deck. The evening view was stunning and perfectly comfortable for a cooler evening with the fire pit. Our grandchildren enjoyed the homey atmosphere and the Bott park down the street! This location was perfect for our activities! We were within minutes from the Garden of the Gods, the Dinosaur Resource Center, and the Cave Dwellings Museum. The horse ride at Triple B ranch was worthwhile for the 3 year old. And we all enjoyed the Bear Creek Nature Center close by. The Garden of the God's Cafe was within walking distance and was a good place for a quality family meal. We hope to return and stay here again!

Beautifully decorated duplex near everything! It was really nice to come back from a long day of exploring to relax in the adobe. The rooftop patio deck was a nice feature. The kids loved being up there to star gaze. This truly was a home away from home!
Debbie is a very proactive owner of a beautiful place! We loved the rooftop view of the front range and the city, the place was very well stocked with everything we could possibly need, very quiet and comfortable. Our family spent a long weekend here and we will definitely be back soon
Counting Stars Adobe is the ideal place to stay when visiting Colorado Springs. This was our first trip to the area and the location could not have been better for seeing the sites we wanted to see. And, let's talk about the place itself. The adobe is beautiful. Clean, roomy, and fully stocked with tons of thoughtful touches. Debbie, the owner, truly cares about your stay. Here's a tip: If you're just getting into town and are starving and haven't had time to get groceries - eat at Garden of the Gods Gourmet Market & Cafe. Super close and delicious. Thank you Debbie, for an outstanding vacation. Next time we come hopefully we will be able to use the rooftop deck a little more!
Counting Stars Adobe is a lovely place, conveniently located in Colorado Springs and with everything you and your family will need for your stay there. It was immaculately clean and fully equipped. All the main attractions are within 15 minutes of the location as well as a wide variety of local restaurants, fast food recognizable chains and a multitude of stores, including grocery stores. You and your family will have the opportunity to build great memories in this adobe. From all the roof top activities, the possibilities inside the house or the magic around it like the amazing night sky or the deers' greetings in the mornings! The owner will make you and your family feel special and will go above the way to ensure your needs are taken care of and your stay is pleasant! Having stayed in such an amazing place for such an affordable price, makes us not want to stay in a conventional hotel ever again! This property and Ms. Debbie have earned our business. We will be back to visit Counting Stars!
My husband and I went to the Springs to visit family. We decided to take our kids (2 dogs) with us; therefore we opted to rent a home rather, than staying in a hotel. BEST INVEST EVER, was to rent this cute home! Not only was the location great, but the home was outstanding!! Debbie, has everything perfect and thinks ahead for you. Anything you needed was a drawer away. Her home is immaculate and decorated very nicely. I wouldn't mind having her decorate my home :) The view from the rooftop was breathtaking, and the front porch was a great spot to have our morning coffee. We also enjoyed coming "home" and turning on the fireplace and snuggled to our favorite shows. This trip felt like we didn't skip a beat to our everyday life! All the accommodations my husband and I are use to, was easily transitioned to our vacation. Truly enjoyed the little details like the high linen count on the bed, and spacious Master Bedroom, so roomy and comfortable. There were 2 additional bedrooms downstairs, which would be great to accommodate our entire family.....we already are making plans to come visit again. Having a garage was also a huge bonus, since we rented a car. Try the café down the street, not only do they accommodate gluten free palates, but also have great variety and also make TV dinners to pick up. I also suggest to try the brewery down the block, such a foodie restaurant. AMAZING! This property has definitely won us over, and we will be visiting Debbie and the Counting Stars Adobe soon. -Kuddos to Debbie for her keen eye for attention and detail. Not only is she a gracious host, but her personality is truly transpired through the love of this home. Thank you for making this trip, a great one to remember!
I have used short term rentals for many years now, and Counting Stars is by far the best I have ever stayed. Let's see - where to start.. When I first walked into the home, I was greeted with a welcome letter from the owner along with a wrapped present for my daughter and a deliciously homemade pizzookie! We stayed for Christmas, and she even went to the trouble of providing us with a tree stand and lights so we could have a homelike Christmas. As I perused through the home, I found more goodies completely unexpected. She had placed baskets of toiletries (and I'm talking the good stuff people) on both floors. Some items included ibprofen, shampoos, loofahs, razors, etc. The house is the perfect size for a small group like my family or for a large family gathering! The best part of the house is actually on the rooftop. An awesome gas firepit with comfy chairs and two long benches allows for a breathtaking view of the mountains in the distance, deer roaming the nearby area, and the Garden of the Gods in the distance. It's in a prime location. Nestled between the beautiful mountains and the old Colorado city, you can't dream of a better location. I went for jogs daily, and if I turned one way, I would trek up the mountains, and if I turned the other way, I found myself in the quaint and beautiful downtown of old Colorado city. Its within 10-15 minutes of anything else you woukd possibly want to do in Colorado Springs or Manitou Springs! Trust me when I say, this place is amazing. It deserves so much more than just five little stars - don't pass it up - you will not be disappointed. We can't wait to go back to Colorado - we already know exactly where we will stay.
My husband, three small dogs and I were very comfortable and cozy in Counting Stars Adobe. The owners went to great length to make sure we had everything we needed for our week stay near Colorado Springs. The place was very clean and the decor was tastefully done with much thought as it all went together so perfectly! We enjoyed the roof top deck and fire pit, the view was amazing! The rocking chairs on the front porch were a great place to have our morning coffee and take in the beautiful view of the mountains. The neighborhood was quiet and we felt very safe. The location was great and close to the main highways so we were able to take in many attractions like "Seven Falls, The Garden of the Gods and of course "Old Colorado City" which was just a few blocks away. We ended our stay with a breakfast to die for at the nearby restaurant "The Garden of The Gods Market and Restaurant" and it was just down the block. I would highly recommend Counting Stars Adobe when planning a trip to Colorado Springs area. We truly did and hope to make it an annual event!
We truly enjoyed our stay in Counting Stars (we had 3 adult children plus us)! The home was beautifully decorated, clean and in a quiet and nice location, close to the various activities we did. The rooftop porch was amazing to start the day with a cup of coffee/tea or a glass of wine/beer at the end of the day. The homeowner has added so many special touches to make you feel welcome and very comfortable. She was also very prompt and helpful in her correspondence with us. We would highly recommend and plan to be back in the future!
Beautiful home, extremely clean and welcoming. The owner welcomed our two dogs; she reached out to us a few days before our arrival to see if there was anything our dogs might need. Best stocked short term rental we have stayed at; a basket was provided with items one might forget to pack such as a toothbrush/toothpaste, lotion, etc.... Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods just a short distance away. The deck on top of the home offered amazing views of stars, Garden of the Gods and the city. Highly recommend.
We enjoyed our visit to the adobe, the sky was so clear and the stars were so bright. You can really count stars here. We spent many evening hours on the porch just "being". This is an excellent location to stay while seeing the sights around Colorado Springs. The adobe was extremely comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again if our travels take us to Colorado.
My family of six, two young adults, two grandparents, and my husband and I enjoyed a 5 night stay at Counting Stars. The property was beautifully decorated, conveniently located for visiting a variety of tourist areas, very clean, and well equipped for making meals and entertaining. We would definitely stay in this home again for another getaway visit. The owner stayed in touch with us and also made a special delivery of two waffle irons so that we could make a family favorite for Sunday brunch. We had a great visit!
This was the best short term rental we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot of really good ones. The owner was so great to work with, and her property was immaculate. She had so many special added touches that we couldn't believe. The views from the rooftop deck were just gorgeous!! We would stay here again and again!!
Convenient location to major Colorado Springs tourist attractions. A number of restaurants and ice cream shop are located in Old Colorado City, just a few blocks away. The property has every convenience you will need or want during your stay. The décor is excellent. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Colorado Springs.
Nice clean place with good location near tourist sites in Colorado Springs. The owners were nice people and easy to work with. House was comfortable and enjoyable.
We really enjoyed our time at Counting Stars. It was perfect for our family! The house had everything we needed and we felt really comfortable there. Everything was so close, it was a great location for the things we wanted to do in Colorado Springs. We visited the Air Force Academy, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak Railway, Cheyenne Zoo, Manitou Springs and Old Colorado City. We also visited the Molly Kathleen Gold Mine (about an hour away). We enjoyed the deck and fire pit every evening and had coffee up there in the morning. We would definitely stay there again. Thanks so much Debbie for having us!
Counting Stars is a fabulous place to stay in Colorado Spring. Debbie is wonderful, very accommodating and helpful. The home is beautifully decorated, has everything you would need. The beds were great! The rooftop deck offered stunning views. It is located close to all the attractions, and even Royal Gorge is just an hour away. I would recommend this place to anyone and actually hope to maybe use it again sometime. Our family loved everything about it.
Our family of 4 (kids 13 and 17) had a great time at Counting Stars Adobe this July. This unique home is an awesome getaway for vacationers and travelers to the area. We felt at home there (the kids literally wanted to move in - which means a lot for teenagers!) and the location is perfect for all the attractions of Manitou Springs and Pike's Peak - only minutes away from everything! Right next door is Red Rock Canyon - perfect for a quick scenic walk or some mountain biking. The rooftop deck was amazing for just sitting up there and relaxing - even watched a few fireworks too. We would definitely stay here again!
My family and I were so impressed with Counting Stars and D. Short, its owner. The home was beautifully furnished and exceeded our expectations, from the rooftop deck overlooking Pike's Peak to the well-stocked kitchen, hostess basket, and sweets. I would highly recommend this property to others and will book it on our next trip to Colorado! 5 stars plus!
My family just returned from a trip to Colorado Springs and had the pleasure of staying at Counting Stars Adobe. There were three adults and two children, ages 5 and 8, in our party and Counting Stars accommodated all of us perfectly! It was spotlessly clean and super comfortable. We truly felt at home. The location is close to so many wonderful things - Old Colorado City, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs and more. If you are looking for a home away from home in the Springs, you won't be disappointed in this place. Although you may never want to leave the rooftop deck, which has spectacular 360 degree views. Debbie, the owner, was wonderful and very helpful as well.
Great house and wonderful roof top deck! The view was great. You could see pikes peak and garden of the gods from the deck! The owner had stocked the house with supplies and it had everything we needed. It was close to everything we wanted to do, yet in a very quiet neighborhood.
The property was fabulous! The roof deck is amazing for morning coffee and night time star gazing. The view of the mountains is unbelievable! It is also located Old Colorado City, which has wonderful restaurants. The home is also decorated beautifully and has every possible thing anyone could need! If there was a higher rating than excellent, we would use it. Also if we return to Colorado Springs this will definitely be our first choice of properties to rent.
First, I need to say that the owners are very nice people and were helpful and accommodating me and my family. The property is located with in walking distance from Old Colorado City, Red Rock Open Space and Bear Creek Regional Park. It is just a few minutes away from the grocery store, shopping facilities and main highways. It was very easy to get to and from the property as we explored the Colorado Springs area. The house was good sized and many of the furnishings were rustic and beautiful. You could access two of the bedrooms/bathroom located on the bottom floor as you enter from the the two car garage. The over sized master bedroom with bathroom is located on the main floor along with the kitchen and living room. The Adobe was plenty big enough to accommodate myself, wife, two teenagers and three dogs. One of which is 110lb Great Pyrenees. Overall, our experience in the Adobe was top notch while we searched for and waited to close on our new home. This rental is 10-15 minutes away Fort Carson/Peterson Airforce base and is perfect for anyone that is working on the local military installations.
