I really cannot say enough good things about this property! Me, my husband, and our dog Rupert were in Montana for a wedding and we decided to extend our trip by spending a few more days near Glacier. This was the absolute best! Laura was great to work with and made sure everything was ready when we arrived. Being only about 25 minutes from Glacier, this was a perfect place for us to stay to go into the park, into Kalispell, or into Whitefish. Everything in the cabin was updated, the kitchen was very well equipped, and the bed was so comfortable! It really felt like a home away from home. We are already missing Montana and will definitely stay here again when we come back to the area!
Our stay in Laura's Trapline Cabin was wonderful. The cabin was clean and new. the rustic chic textures of the exterior are reflected in the interior. Bountiful flowers flank the front door. Some of my favorite touches about the cabin were; strong shower with plenty of hot water, Montana coffee in generous supply, easy parking, comfy bed and pillows, Wifi, a relief map so we could plan our daily hikes and a restaurant guide to plan our dinners. The cabin had a well equipped kitchen where we made our daily breakfasts and picnic lunches. Because this was my vacation we ate dinner out each night but we could have easily cooked in the well supplied kitchen. Laura was very helpful with any questions we had. Our train was 3 hours late, just before midnight, she stayed in touch by text with us and came out to greet us when we arrived My only suggestions would be a well lit sign at the driveway entrance, we circled back through the A & W before seeing the second driveway, and a list of the local TV channels. I would still describe our stay as perfect. Everyone I have told about our trip to Glacier has included my rave review of our stay in Laura's cabin.
My best friend and I came up to see Glacier and this place was unbelievably perfect! It was so close to the park, but also not so close that if you wanted to get something to eat you had to pay jacked-up park prices. Laura and her husband were SO nice- and they had the cutest dog! We LOVED the cabin. It was the perfect size for two people, but it would also be more than adequate for a family with small children. It was nice having a shower after a long day of hiking. The fire pit was super fun and we made s'mores- you can't do that a lot in the actual park I guess unless you have a certain camp site. I hope to come back with my parents again in the fall!
The cabins are homey and beautifully appointed. Brand new everything! Wifi for the kids and nice kitchen with the basics. Coffee from a local roaster awaits you in the morning! GNP is 15 minutes away, as well as plenty of outdoor opportunities (whitewater rafting, helicopter tours, zip line) nice grocery store five minutes away. For a last minute rental, Laura made sure we weren't cramped and was very flexible with our arrival. We rented two cabins, so the privacy was nice for us as well as space for our kids. I would definitely recommend Trapline Cabins for your stay in Columbia Falls/GNP. Ps-I can't wait to give it a try in the winter, with ski slopes within 30 minutes :)
