Great Cabin & Location

July 31, 2016

We had a great experience at Trapline Cabins. The cabin was beautiful inside, newly remodeled and you can tell it was done by someone who cared about creating an atmosphere that made you feel at home and out in the woods at the same time. It was very tastefully decorated, extremely clean and had everything we needed. They even brought in an extra bed for my son even though we didn't ask them to (I planned on having him sleep on an air mattress). I thought that was a very nice extra touch. Laura was a great hostess and her lab Toby was a wonderful ambassador as well! My son loved playing horseshoes and we enjoyed making s'mores around the fire pit. As previous reviewers mentioned, the cabin is near the highway but that was not a problem at all, we never heard the traffic at night. The cabins are only 15-20 minutes from the park and only a few minutes from the main part of Columbia Falls. We did have a bit of problem finding places to eat in Columbia Falls but really enjoyed a trip in to Whitefish for dinner one night, they have a really cool downtown area. Overall we loved staying at the cabin and would absolutely do so again if we head to Glacier Park again.

Owner's reply:

Thank you so much Dawn for the wonderful review! We have really enjoyed making our cabins homey and comfortable for our guest- it truly has been a labor of love as we did the work ourselves. I hope you do come back and stay with us again,

Wonderful little cabin near Glacier Park

July 29, 2016

My wife and I went on our honeymoon and this was our first stop of our trip. This cabin seems small but the space is used well. Outside the cabins is a little firepit that you can enjoy a good size fire or even cook over it. The owner provided us with all the information we needed about the area, including great dining areas, hikes and other activities. There's only four cabins on the property so you won't have to deal with too many other travelers. Price wise, you get your bang for your buck. My wife and I enjoyed the trip and look forward to coming back.

Owner's reply:

Thanks so much Eric!! I hope you have a lovely time on the rest of your honeymoon! Thank you for sharing part of it with us. Come back and stay with us anytime.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

Great cabin
Very nice cabin with all the necessary amenities. Very comfortable and cozy. Convenient location to West Glacier.

Cute little cabin
My husband and I had a great stay at this cute little cabin. It had everything we needed. The ease of getting to Glacier National Park was perfect. Laura was so nice and helped us with anything we needed.

Immaculate, well equipped and a great location!
The Trapline Cabins could be the best deal in the area of Glacier National Park. I've stayed at a lot of places in the area and would highly recommend this location and the cabins to anyone. The are beautifully designed and equipped and conveniently located within 5 minutes of Columbia Falls and 15 minutes from the park. The owners were friendly and hospitable. A great find!!

great for small groups
his cabin is well laid out for small parties. I stayed here for a week by myself when I was on a retreat. the cabin seemed brand new and was well equipped. had everything I needed and was in a convenient location in Columbia falls. host is on premises if you ever need anything. very clean and parking is easy. I would stay here again

Excellent Stay
Laura's cabin was in a great location, completely updated, and has a fantastic host. I stayed there with my family (wife and son) this summer, and it was a great base camp for our visits to Glacier National Park. It's 15 minutes from Whitefish, West Glacier, and the airport, so it is simple to get anywhere you would like. The entire cabin is updated with solid craftsmanship. Laura is kind enough to provide local coffee and other kitchen basics, so we were able to eat most of our meals at the cabin. Overall, it was a great time. One downside is the proximity to Hwy 2. The cabins sit immediately adjacent to the road, and if you sleep with the windows open it is noisy. However, we slept for several nights with the windows closed and it was pleasant. Even with the windows open it isn't that bad; a lot like camping. One specific hiccup to our stay was the ridiculous heat (for a Montana summer). A couple of days were over the 90s into the evening, and the cabins got very hot. However, after the second day Laura purchased and installed an air conditioner, making the experience that much better. Really, this level of service on top of the quality of cabin is what warrants the 5 stars; the host really took care of us.

Quality Stay
The TrapLine Cabins have been fabulously remodeled to a modern rustic. Being only a 10-15 minute commute to the West Entrance to GNP, the cabins are a perfect place to relax after a long hike. Laura is a fantastic host, being in contact when needed and emailing great places to explore.

Just Perfect
Perfect sized cabin for two. Interiors are excellent and what looks to be a small cabin is actually very well planned and functional. It is close to the road but this never bothered us and actually made it easy to get everywhere! Loved it & highly recommend.
