If you love to cook, you'll enjoy preparing meals for the family in the gourmet kitchen that also overlooks the ocean. Both gas and charcoal grills supplement the kitchen with just about anything you could need to prepare and serve your culinary creations. There's plenty of space in the dining room to seat the family at two tables, and after dinner, two dishwashers make sure nobody gets stuck with washing the service for 22 by hand.
Outside, the cottage has a private swimming pool and jacuzzi, pool heated upon request. Surrounding the pool you'll find plenty of lounge chairs to lay back in and enjoy that relaxing OBX experience you came for. The back yard has a volleyball net to entertain those interested in a friendly game and there is a basket ball hoop off the front drive for any desiring a game of hoops. If you'd like to explore the area a bit, there are a few bikes available for your pleasure. The three levels of decks are home to a number of comfortable deck chairs and even have a hammock and a porch swing.
Ocean's Grace is pet friendly! Pets are allowed in the cottage, though we do have to ask that your furry friends stay out of the pool and hot tub.
At night your family retires to eight tastefully decorated, inviting bedrooms with good quality mattresses and your choice of feather or poly pillows. Five of the bedrooms are king master suites. One is a queen. The kids will love the two nautical themed bunk rooms. One of the king master suites has a private deck. Four bedrooms open out onto the main deck that wraps around the house and provides access to the pool and hot tub, or up to the roof deck for spectacular star gazing. All bedrooms have flat screen TV & DVD.

Having a great time in OBX!
August 2, 2010
We had a group of 20 people stay at Oceans Grace in Outer Banks. It was 10 adults and 10 children and all loved it. The house has everything promised. Oceans Grace has tons of things, bikes, beach stuff. A lot of decks and space to get lost in if you wanted. A call from the owner is a awesome touch to make sure everything was taken care of. I will be back at Oceans Grace!

A Piece of Heaven
May 4, 2010
We found a little piece of Heaven last week at Whalehead Beach, Corolla. I've had a dream for years of taking a family vacation with the kids & grandkids to the Outer Banks. This year that dream came true and we found the perfect place to live it out. Ocean's Grace had everything we could have possibly needed or wanted to make our stay complete. It is very family-friendly and so comfortable. It's beautiful in the simple, stylish furnishings. There were 21 of us, 12 adults and 9 children and we had plenty of room for all. There is something for everyone one & every age to do there. Joy, the owner, has thought of every detail to make her guests feel at home & comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with every kind of appliance imaginable and the view of the ocean from the windows was breathtaking! Nobody minded doing the dishes because the view was so great! The bedrooms are roomy & cozy. The whole place sparkled when we walked in, it was so clean! The pool is fantastic and the yard was used often to play all sorts of games. We loved all the decks around the house that afforded gorgeous views all around, including the Currituk lighthouse & the amazing stars at night. I can't describe how wonderful it was adequately! All I can say is that we hit the jackpot finding the perfect place for us to have an awesome family vacation and God willing, we'll be there again next year!

We have had our family vacation in Corolla for the last 6 years, and each year we've changed houses because none really seemed to 'wow' us. We've learned over the last few years what you need in a beach house to make the trip perfect and stress-free, and this one had it all. So a few things that this house had that many houses don't: - the kitchen was fully stocked! It had everything you could ever need. And with a house that big it seemed to have at least two of everything.. 2 blenders, 2 toasters (the double sized toasters), two dishwashers, etc. And it has plenty of tupperware, bowls, pots, you name it. It even had little metal rods for everyone to use to make s'mores. Our family is big into cooking large meals and we always had everything we needed, and then some! - The house is a short walk to the beach access. In the past we didn't do our homework and found ourselves walking 4-5 houses down the street just to get to the beach. This house is only 1 house away. - The beach access has both stairs AND a sand path. With 15 people we had so much stuff and always use a beach wheeler to carry it all down to the beach. But at previous houses there is no sand access, so you have to lift the carrier up all the stairs (truly a big pain to deal with). And if you don't own a beach wheeler to carry your things to the beach, you're in luck because this house has one for you to use! It was actually even better than ours, so we got a lot of use out of it. - It also has a great big flat screen TV, with DVD and an iphone/ipod dock. We like to listen to music each night, so it was nice to just plug into the system, vs bringing our own speakers. The AV was a little confusing at first when you switched from TV to DVD to MUSIC, but there are directions right next to the system and if you take the time to read them it was very easy to use. - The house also had bikes that were in good shape to use. We've seen so many houses advertise this but the wheels are always flat. Not the case with this house. TONS of bikes and all in good condition. - We do a lot of grilling and this house has a huge gas grill! I think it had 8 burners? Don't quote me on that, but it was perfect for the amount of people we had. Other than that, all the rooms were nice and cozy. My bed was very comfy, and everyone in our group reported back their beds were also just as nice. The pool was nice, the water was a good temperature.

My extended family was unanimous in praise after enjoying this fantastic rental home for a week. We were only 200 feet away from beach access, but found ourselves "competing" for time at the beach versus enjoying all the amenities at the home. Our group of 20 family members tried everything. We loved the salt water pool, the Jacuzzi, and the super rec room with three pub-height game tables. And we had our own "Family Olympics" with the horseshoes and cornhole competitions. The floor plan and layout of the house was ideal for our large group. All 20 of us could sit for dinner without using the breakfast bar, which left the bar open for buffet service. The five master bedrooms with king beds were perfect for the adults, and the bunk bed rooms were perfect for the kids. All in all, we had an outstanding family experience with memories that will last a lifetime. Or at least until we get back there for a second visit!

If you are looking for a home that will serve as an ideal family reunion spot, this one will fit your needs. Nineteen of us with 10 adults and 9 children ranging in ages of 14 months to 18 years old enjoyed the close proximity to the beach as well as having access to the pool when the afternoon temperatures grew warm. The very open and large kitchen was another important factor when it came to preparing meals for everyone. And we all enjoyed our volleyball games in the evening. All in all, we are certain that this home will fill the needs of any large group and all will come away with pleasant memories.

Hard to add anything better than what has already been said but I will try. This home was a grace, indeed, to our family of 19, ranging from three one year olds to the 79 year old great-grandmother, who bunked in (by choice) with the girls age 4, 5 and 8. This was our third year at the Outer Banks, and our third different house and neighborhood. I spent a lot of time, as I do every year, finding a great house that met all our needs. Shopping and cute shops are close by but we did not find them--too perfect to just hang out at the house, the pool and the beach together. Huge open space in the greatroom. The house is perfect for a large family group. We loved the short walk to the beach--that's important to us. And the view. I have stayed in more glamorous houses, but Oceans Grace is lovingly decorated with lots of carefree nautical-themed stuff, and great attention to detail, yet furnishings feel comfortable and "lived in" in a good way, not sterile or overly fragile--very comfortable and easy care. You feel as if the owners have welcomed you personally. The cupboards are filled with videos, books, games, and puzzles to satisfy a wide range of tastes and ages. We can't recommend a restaurant--we took turns cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoyed every meal at the largest dining table I have ever seen outside of the Biltmore! The beach fills up mid day but feels family oriented, with lots of grand sand castles built by parents and children together. By late afternoon it's deserted. We did not play volleyball in the yard but we sure enjoyed the hammocks and the great breeze--even in August! And the hot tub, of course. The pool is relatively large, as OBX house pools go, and owners provide loads of toddler and child pool and beach stuff and more than a dozen beach chairs. Adventure seekers can rent a kayak for the week and enjoy the waves, or drive 5 minutes to the jeep rental to hot rod around the northern beaches. The only drawback, if there is one, is the lack of elevator. Have fun if you go! We hated to leave.

This is a great place for a family vacation. Owners have thought of everything to make your stay great---from pool table and foosball in the rec rm to baby gates and toddler furniture upstairs. House is beautifully decorated and immaculate and has all the extras you can think of to make your stay a great experience. Gorgeous view of the ocean just across the street from the upper level. Private heated pool and hot tub are just the icing on the cake! I would definitely recommend this house to my friends.
