Description of the County Londonderry vacation cottage rental
Whether sitting outside at the picnic table - listening to the birds in the surrounding trees, or snuggling up on the sofas in front of a blazing fire, Slieve Martin is a cottage to enjoy a relaxing break. On a clear night step out of your cottage and gaze upwards to the stars glittering above you. Or before breakfast, head out for a walk around the Yellow Water Nature Trail on site.

In the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, just outside Rostrevor, County Down, you will find Rostrevor Holidays, the family-run self-catering rostrevor accommodation group, located on a peaceful 24-acre farm.

10 cottages of varying sizes are built in a traditional style with magnificent views over the Mourne Mountains and down Kilbroney Valley to Carlingford Lough. Our one bedroom cottages are ideal for a couple looking for a relaxing break, whilst are our larger 3 bedroom cottages and houses will suit family holidays and friends' reunions.

At Rostrevor Holidays, we are more than just a place to stay, we really feel that you can make a holiday here. So enjoy a game of tennis, let your children explore the playground or take a walk along the 2km farmyard trail. Make Rostrevor Holidays a base for your friends and family, and make the most of the local mountain bike trails in Rostrevor and Castlewellan, or the hill walking in the Mourne Mountains.

Throughout our 23 years of business, we have enjoyed meeting new visitors, and welcoming back return guests and friends. Our committment to a friendly welcome and the provision of a quality service, has led to a huge number of guests recommending their relatives and friends.

Rostrevor village is a perfect place to take your holiday. The Mourne Mountains are popular for hill walking, with Kilbroney Park the location of Rostrevor Mountain Bike Trail Centre; it also offers a children's playground and café.

Located between Belfast and Dublin, this is an ideal base for visiting the East Coast of Ireland. Thinking about visiting Titanic Belfast? We are only one hour by car. The Giant's Causeway can be reached in 2 hours, and Dublin City is only 90 minutes.

Area Information
In a letter to his brother, CS Lewis who penned the works of "The Chronicles of Narnia" wrote "That part of Rostrevor which overlooks Carlingford Lough is my idea of Narnia." While living in England he spoke of the magic of Northern Ireland: "I yearn to see County Down in the snow, one almost expects to see a march of dwarfs dashing past. How I long to break into a world where such things were true." In his essay On Stories "I have seen landscapes, notably in the Mourne Mountains and southwards which under a particular light made me feel that at any moment a giant might raise his head over the next ridge."
