We enjoyed this stay and greatly appreciate that you are dog friendly. The house was great and all amenities appreciated. Liked the hot tub and pool (too cold to swim) but decided to forgo the hot tub towards the end of our stay because it is only treated once a week which is not enough to keep bacteria free.
“house near Crescent City beach”
This house is a 3 minute walk from the steps on the beach and the lighthouse is about a half mile away. The city center a walkable mile has a 24 hour Denny's and grocery stores. On street parking is easy but there is a 1 car garage and driveway. A nice side yard good for a big dog to run in. An open spacious kitchen and bay type living room windows where you can see the ocean on the horizon. I would buy it as a retirement home if available.
“Quiet & Relaxing”
We enjoyed being so close to everything from a well appointed, comfortable home. Bicycling, kayaking, beach combing, groceries...all from a very quiet location. Thanks!
“Lovely Crescent City Cottage”
We stayed in this cottage for almost a month after relocating here from the Southwest. This cottage has everything you will need to be cozy and comfortable. The beaches are only a short walk away. The beautiful lighthouse shines its light across the sea. You can hear the seals and sea lions. We even saw sea otters down on the beach. You are going to love staying here.
Wanda and I had a very relaxing week at the cottage. We used it as a base and went up into Oregon to Brookings and Gold Beach and checked out the Redwoods, Smith River, The Beach just down from the cottage was truly a fun place to go and find agates for the Grand Kids. All in all it was a very pleasant and enjoyable time. Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in of the cottage and the closed proximity to the Wharf, and fishing and good dining. We especially enjoyed the art gallery's in the area. Thank you Debbie for supplying a perfect get away. We will be back.
“Great Place to Stay”
Loved the Coastal Cottage. The weather happened to be exceptional, a bonus. The house is very comfy. Everything we needed was there. We cooked out meals with ease. Stayed warm and comfortable in the Queen bed. Very close to the Dock where we Crabbed. We drove to Brookings for a day away. Had a nice lunch and a great drive.
“Quaint and quiet”
Such a cute and clean little cottage. It was perfect for my husband, myself, and my parents. We brought our little dog with us and she enjoyed the spacious yard and our walks down to the beach. We really liked the decor of the cottage and the opportunity to park our car in the garage. We accessed the scenic drive only a block from the house and visited many of the sites and parks along the route. The Good Harvest restaurant was a great discovery! We had two meals there; breakfast and dinner. Great food, healthy fare. We plan to return in Spring if at all possible :)
“Spectabulous Coastal cabin”
Our family LOVED this coastal cabin!! It was so nicely decorated and well thought out. Has everything you need and then some. Our dogs felt at home also with the large back yard for them to run. So close to the beach you can skip there in a minute. Can't say enough about this wonderful place. O am counting the days until we can go again.
Owner's reply: Thank you Ceclilia, We are so glad that you had a nice time, and look forward to your return. Have a great rest of your summer.
Exactly as advertised. Only downfall was fireplace not working but we were informed. Has plenty of extras just in case you forgot something. Although the opened used food products in the fridge should be disposed of. Very clean and comfortable.
We spent several days at the beach house in Crescent City... It's comfortable for people and our 4-legged friends as there is a fenced back yard. Also, it was nice to catch up on our laundry.. We enjoyed our visit...
Owner Supplied Testimonials
We had a wonderful time and would like to come again! Thanks! Daniel, Michelle, Arielle, Max and Kara
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay in your clean, easy to live in cottage -- actually a medium-size, two bedroom, 1.5 bath ranch style home -- a block away from the beach, and within easy walking distance to the lighthouse, harbor, and downtown. Our visit in mid was partly business (great central location between Coos Bay and Eureka, where we did our business) and vacation to get away from our Sierra Nevada, Mother Load, freezing, snowy home, was a success because We are both coastal-raised and always miss the Pacific weather. And "Pacific weather" we experienced to the fullest, with gale winds and rain, but one beautiful sunny day and remarkable sunset, just a block away. We love the kitchen and bath layouts. The kitchen especially, since the "best" eateries were closed for the winter, so we cooked a lot at reasonable cost -- thanks to nearby (15 minute walking distance, if you want the exercise) Safeway and Ray's markets. The gas fireplace ensured the house was kept comfortably warm during the storms, and we noticed no chilling drafts. What else to say? We are now considering a summer stay, this time to get away from out normal 100+F degree weather. Oh, yes, the cost is very reasonable, given our other coastal choices -- Monterey, Half Moon bay, Mendocino -- would have cost us two to four times what it costs to stay in Crescent City, without the crowds, and worth the enjoyable 450 mile drive!
