Everything about this home i love! the owner had everything we needed it was perfect for just a group of 4. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Definitely coming again next year and hopefully in the summer. Thank you Diane.

I booked this cabin at least 4 months in advance. My sister and her husband were coming for a month from Australia, so the planning and cabin had to be perfect. I was sold by the pictures on the website and from talking to Diane on the phone. She was very laid back and I could tell from talking with her for at least an hour or more on our first phone conversation, she truly wanted to make sure we had a great time and relaxed. When we arrived, the cabin was clean, with many new upgrades, kitchen was beautiful, all the windows in the cabins were upgraded and clean and bright. The kitchen and bathrooms were well- stocked. The inside of the refrigerator was immaculate.. The kitchen area was tight, but we managed as my own kitchen is tight as well. I viewed many other cabins before choosing Serenity Nest, but was afraid they would smell as old as they and looked due to the very old furniture and afghans and bedding shown in the photos. I was able to bring Jack and Isabella my two little four-legged children which was a must. The outside deck was amazing. We sat out there 2 days and nights and watched the birds and squirrels though binoculars we brought. The second morning we were there, we went to the local ACE hardware to purchase fishing licenses. The locals were friendly and gave us advice on the best places on the lake to fish. We caught 4 large trout and at least 30 small trout and Blue Gill between the six of us in one afternoon. We enjoyed our time at Serenity Nest and Diane's easy going nature. I would definitely book Serenity Nest again. I was actually able to relax and spend a day fishing and not worry about work. That's a first. Thank you for the down time!

Well, this cabin getaway was supposed to be planned months ago, but of course procrastination had us scrambling at the last minute for a cabin capable of fitting us all (2 adults, 4 kids and 2 fur babies). We were left with very few options but Serenity nest which I had been looking at awhile ago was still available and fit our needs perfectly. Diane was great in getting us arranged just a couple of days before we wanted to arrive. And it was so quick and easy dealing with the rental agreement and payment. So the cabin is way up there on the mountain(in my flatlander opinion) but what a beautiful view it is up there. The road up is kind of winding and was a little scary for me (I'm a wuss and was white-knuckling it the whole way). It's kind of narrow, more than enough room for one vehicle but not much for turnouts if you came across another vehicle. Suprisingly though we never encountered another vehicle and we left the cabin quite a bit so that was a relief! The cabin had great parking and was enough room for both our cars (tip: park at an angle, makes pulling out a breeze!) the cabin looked just like the pics. Kind of a long stairway but no snow no big deal. Love that everything was so fresh and bright in the cabin, not dark and gloomy like some I had come across. Kitchen was a little tight but enough for the both of us to work in. They had everything we needed, pots, pans, crock pot, plates, cups etc....made packing a breeze, just food and clothes but we did bring a rice cooker and veggie steamer. Loved having a washer and dryer available just in case. The main bedroom was very spacious with a queen bed and we also brought a queen size air mattress and there was more than enough room. Kids loved sleeping in the bunk bed room. Gets pretty tight in there when the 3rd bed is pulled out, but kids didn't care! Loved all the windows in the house and all the light they allow in but would like a little more cover in the main bedroom as it gets a little too bright early in the morning. Had so much fun there and can't wait to return! Hopefully with snow! Thanks for sharing your home with us Zeman Family!!
You were easy to have as a guest too! We are so happy you could make it. Our road... Indeed has personality, fortunately you may see only 1-3 cars per weekend. I call that road to the house Mr. Toads Wild Adventure Ride...(Disney Land).

From the day I was in contact with the owner Diane this experience was so smooth, Diane provides everything you need to make your stay nothing short of amazing. When i arrived with my wife and 3 children we were all stunned by this beautiful property and it's views.We originally planned to arrive at the cabin and head upward for some snow, plans changed when we saw the amount of snow on the property and the convenience of the sled's on the property. My family had a great time playing in the snow and when it came time to come in we made use of the board games handy and the twister very fun, the wife is already looking forward to our next trip to this cabin.Thank you Diane for opening your home to me and my family and making us feel as if it were our own.

This was a perfect vacation place for us--reasonable rate, very clean, no t.v., radio, or telephone--Just trees, birds, and lake an enjoyable 5-minute walk. The owner provided wholesome DVDs/videos (there was that provision) and even left two complimentary bottles of wine in the fridge.

The views from the cabin are beautiful. Very pretty sunsets! The owners have done a great job making it feel like a home away from home.

How special! We loved the place & the owners. My hubby & I went for a getaway, were able to have 2 nights away, but this whet our appetites for another stay...we are going back! I might even do a girls getaway too. Our ride up was great but if you have a large SUV be sure let the owners know so they can give you the best driving directions. We so enjoyed the entire place & loved sitting on the deck watching the sunset, enjoying our coffee, the perfect weather, and each other! It was like home away from home, the decorating was so up to date and pleasing to the eye...it even smelled good!

We found the cabin to be very, very nice and clean and full of wonderful little details that the owner supplies which make you feel right at home. She was super flexible and trusting and we were honored to stay at her place. She did all in her means to go out of her way to make things easy, especially when I realized I'd left some stuff behind and she mailed it out to me no extra cost, in spite of my offer to pay for my mistake. How often does that happen? Great space and owner.

Very secluded with a beautiful view. Enjoyed the patio and the quiet environment. Both bedrooms downstairs and comfy. Kitchen was a little tight for more than two people to work in. The cabin was very clean and inviting with special touches. The local dog, "Buddy Bear" was a nice addition too. We will be going back soon.

We loved this place. It is enchanting, quiet, romantic, and just lovely. We fell in love with the beautiful view and the peacful sorroundings, and we especially fell in love with the wonderful neighborhood greeter, Buddy! (Toothless pitbull). In addition, the place was very clean and as mentioned in other reviews, very well stocked, down to complimentary chocolate, tea, coffee and lotions, to immaculately clean and cozy. By the way, the masterbedroom bed was heavenly! We will definitely be back!

This cabin was so great! Very clean, very well stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. The price was great too! very affordable. The location was perfect, close to town, but romantically hidden away. The owners are so nice, very good people. There were eight of us and we were very comfortable in this cabin. We will be going back often now that we have found it. Call this cabin first, save yourself alot of trouble. Then you can see for yourself. The owners of this cabin are Awesome!

Pending Reservation - We (the homeowners of the house) are presently holding a tentative reservation for you as specified above for 24 hours. This reservation will become confirmed upon our receipt of this Rental Agreement, signed and completed by you, along with full rental fees and deposit payment and copy of your driverâ€™s license. Vacation rental property reservations are on a â€œfirst come first serve basisâ€. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the signed rental agreement and payment in full are due.
Minimum Age Limit for Renters - To book a reservation, one must be 25 years or older and that individual must occupy the premises for the duration of the stay. A copy of a valid driverâ€™s license must be presented upon reservation. Reservations made under false pretences may be subject to forfeiture of advance rental payments and/or security/damage deposit. You must certify that you have carefully read and understand the limitations on the number of persons permitted to occupy the property and agree to abide by them. If not, you will be asked to leave without any refund. Complaints will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Arrival/Departure Times - Check-in starts at 4:00 pm on the arrival date and departure must occur by 10:00 am on the departure date. Early check-in and late check-out times are possible by prior arrangement, but can only be confirmed several days before the arrival date, since they are dependent on the schedules of other guests. Upon departure, unit is to be left in a neat and tidy condition in which it was found with no damage done to the unit or its contents beyond normal wear and tear. Please clean the follow: cleaning the outdoor grill, if used, wash any dirty dishes, place garbage in the outdoor trash cans and put any wet or used towels in a laundry basket by washer/dryer.
*Security Deposit - The Security Deposit is provided as security against damage to the house or property, theft, late check out, and violation of any of the renter's agreements contained in this Agreement. Final settlement of the Security Deposit will be made as soon as possible, but in no event later than 30 days after the departure date.
Cancellations - Either party may cancel the rental agreement up to 60 days prior to the arrival date. In addition, if you cancel the rental in whole or part on shorter notice than 60 days, and if we are unable to re-book the unit for all or part of your confirmed stay at the same rate, the full applicable rate will be charged for those days minus any rent that is able to be collected. We will retain any Rent Deposit as liquidated damages as required to pay such applicable rate. There is no refund of rent for an early departure.
Less than 30 days prior to your stay we will charge 125.00 minimum for any cancellation after dates booked.
Owners' Agreements - We shall bear the cost of all trash removal, the use of all personal property made available to renters, including kitchen equipment, dishes, linens, outdoor furniture, and outdoor grill. We will take reasonable measures to ensure that house and outdoor equipment is in reasonable working order.
Guests' Agreements - You agree that you shall leave the premise in the same order as you
found it and that you shall not exceed the number of guests identified in this Agreement. If more than the
above numbered persons are found to occupy the unit, or if excessive cleanup is required, additional
charges for such persons and additional maid service will be charged and deducted from the Security
Deposit. You shall nevertheless be fully responsible for any damage to the premises in excess of the
Security Deposit, plus reasonable costs of collection, including reasonable attorneys' fees, if necessary.
Damage caused by your guests or invitees shall be your financial responsibility. Without our prior written
permission, you shall NOT host special events or gatherings at the unit involving more than your
immediate party, as enumerated above, and shall not conduct any events or activities that might interfere
with the peace and enjoyment of the property's neighbors, including any traveling noise after9:00 pm at
night. If you are found to be entertaining more guests than approved by us in your rental contract without
our prior permission, or are creating traveling noise after 9:00 pm, you will be asked to vacate the property
immediately, and will forfeit the remainder of your rental as well as the security deposit. You agree that
there are no pets allowed unless previously arranged with fees and that there can be no smoking in the house or other structures. Such smoking will result in automatic and total forfeiture of the Security Deposit. You agree that we or our designees may enter and inspect the premises for any reason at any reasonable time during your stay. You and all of your guests and invitees undertake all use of the property at your own risk. Any use of any equipment, sporting
or otherwise, IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
Children and Pets- Children and pets are the direct responsibility of you as well as their parents or caretakers. Children and pets are NEVER TO BE LEFT UNATTENDED at the unit, whether in the house or outdoors by either adults or children.
Payment Information â€“ Payment is required in full to reserve any/all of your dates. Cash, Personal check, Pay Pal, cashierâ€™s check, money order or credit card. If paying by credit card, a receipt will be generated through Square and sent to your phone or email, please provide which preference you have. We accept Visa/MasterCard/American Express. All payments must clear bank before dates are reserved.
Additional Information â€“ Winter months bring snow. We have a â€œmud roomâ€ downstairs and an tiled entry through the laundry room upstairs for entering into the home during the snow season. This prevents moisture and damage on the wood floors. Please exercise caution and respect to the seasonâ€™s changing needs.
Please use beach towels (provided in bunk room) for use on the beach. Any and all blankets& bath towels from the unit(s) are NOT to be used on the beach. An initial supply of paper products, trash liners & toilet paper is provided. Extra items needed are the responsibility of the guest. Please park only in designated spots in front of the house. We, the owners will not be held responsible for acts of theft or vandalism or other damages to the guestâ€™s personal property or automobiles or items left in the unit. Every effort will be made to return any items, but we assume no responsibility for such items.
As owners of 722 Ashlar Dr., Crestline, CA 92325, we assume no responsibility for any conditions beyond our control.
As renter, I understand that the homeowners have made a good faith effort to accurately present the property, but shall not be liable for any inaccuracies in such presentations, or changes in the conditions of the accommodations or the surrounding environment or the condition thereof, of any temporary defects or shortages/stoppages in supply of electric, gas, water, or plumbing, etc., which are out of their control. YOU AGREE TO INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS THE OWNERS OF THE UNIT FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSS, CLAIM, LIABILITY OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM ANY NUISANCE OR HARM MADE OR SUFFERED ON THE PROPERTY BY YOU OR YOUR GUESTS OR INVITEES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, INJURY OR DEATH, OR FROM ANY CARELESSNESS, NEGLECT OR IMPROPER CONDUCT OF ANY PERSONS ENTERING, OCCUPYING OR VISITING THE PREMISES. I also understand and agree that if there is damage to the house or its contents above the stated deposit, we as homeowners reserve the right to take you to court for said reimbursement of damages. Above guest is an adult and will be a guest of the unit during the entire reserved period. Other guests will be family members, friends or responsible adults.
