“Would recommend”

Reviewed 5 Feb 2017

We stayed here 3 months. It is in a gated community that has someone at the front gate 24 hours a day. Most of the residents are away during the week and visit on the weekends or for festivals. Transportation is simple. Moto taxis will take you anywhere in Crucita and nearby communities for $0.50 a person per trip. The bus to Portoviejo stops right in front of the gate and it takes about an hour to get to the city. There is shopping at the mall and grocery stores like one would find in North America. The return bus runs until 8:30am and again will stop at the gate. The house is 2 stories with a deck and bathroom on the roof. There is a closet and built in drawers in each room. There is a washing machine that is shared with the one bedroom unit next door. Crucita is a wonderful fishing village with lots of charter and a relaxed feel during the week. Weekends can get busy. There is a VOIP phone in the house so calls to the States are free. The owner was wonderful to work with and quick to respond to our questions and concerns. The house is furnished and a pool is available for a small fee. If you are looking for a place to stay during your visit to Crucita, I would recommend this house.

“Crucita a nice place”

I actually stayed for ninety days it's a great place for one or two people crucita is a small village but if you need big stores for shopping or grocery purchases there close by maybe fifteen or twenty kilometers your out the front door and less than one hundred yards to the pacific ocean Russell Peters showed great consideration while I was there and very much seemed to want me to enjoy myself and have fun I hope to do IT again after three months I feel like I've just started I speak maybe fifty words of Spanish and though very few people in Crucita speak any English they are very helpful and patient so I could still get what I needed I must say I've lost between twenty or thirty pounds since I've been here not because I don't eat it just seems the food is more healthy and Evan though a tuk tuk (small three wheeled taxi)only cost about fifty cents a person to go most place's locally even though I'm sixty seven I still walked most places and the weather was great seventy one or two at night and about eighty five and sunny or partly cloudy almost every day(I think it rained two or three times while I've been here I could go on and on but you need to come see for yourself if you do enjoy
