Area Info
The Located in the picturesque Northeast Kingdom, this is Vermonter's Vermont, "real vermont" not like the designer version downstate. A pristine outdoor paradise, filled with more lakes ( and moose!) per square inch, it boasts country towns with rolling hills, white picket fences and family-run farms.

Cross-country skiing and snowmobiling are enjoyed in the winter, maple sugaring in the spring, fairs, concerts, sweet-tasting at bounty at Farmers Markets in the summer, in addition to breathtaking foliage in the fall. The area is undergoing an agricultural revival based on locally produced food, and visits to farms that grow the food and restaurants and stores that sell it are wonderful experiences.

The sports options are endless: nearby Crystal or Willoughby Lakes for water, Memphramagog for international sailing, nearby Burke, Jay for downhill skiing,
on site or nearby Craftsbury for cross-X skiing, riding, biking, skating, curling, and fishing on the Brownington, Clyde, the Black, the Willoughby, and Barton rivers, even the premiere ice climbing destination in the lower 48. And plenty of auctions and antique shops,if that's your sport!
