Area Information
In Crystal River, there are plenty of things to do for the whole family, including world-class flats fishing in clear waters for red fish, trout, Spanish mackerel, cobia, and tarpon. Crystal River offers one of the few remaining areas to scallop in Florida during the summer. You can catch freshwater bass and trap blue crabs off the dock, or look for manatees and dolphins. Offshore, there is terrific shallow and deepwater grouper fishing. Within a short drive, there is a mall with a multiplex movie theater; restaurants and shopping in historic downtown Crystal River; kayaking; Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park; Crystal River Archaeological State Park; walking and bike trails; scuba diving; and swimming with the manatees. Plan a day trip to any of the nine state parks within 50 miles or work on your back swing at one of the 12 nearby golf courses.

We stay in rental houses 4-6 time a year and have been doing so for well over a decade. This was the nicest 'small' place we have ever rented. Clean, recently upgraded, great decor and a dock for our boat. Pretty poorly stocked kitchen so if you like to cook you may want to bring along a few of your favorite pots or pans.

Owner's reply:

We are glad you enjoyed your trip! The kitchens are well stocked but sometimes when people stay in both units they mix up the pots and pans between both suites. We will be sure to go over and check that out. Thanks again.

The Merrill's and Herring Families
This place is the bomb!! I wouldn't want to be locked up in a house during a rain storm anywhere else. The dock is full of cute little crabs and turtles. We caught like 10 a day!

The Violette Family
Great house. Thank you for the rental. Just another great thing about the trip. We had fun and hope to return soon.

The Heffentrager Family
Our family would like to extend a real big Thank You. The house was great. We loved it. Next time we come we will definitely try this one again.

The Ramsey Family
Had a wonderful time and looking forward to coming back.

The Landers Family
Relaxing what a great place - best part was our two dogs could enjoy the yard and not have to be boarded at vet. They are true boating dogs and just want to load up and go. Thank you for being a dog friendly location. We will definitely return.
The convenience of the dock was great - a screened porch and grill made this location a real home away from home. This neighborhood is very quiet and conducive to relaxation. Hope to enjoy the home again soon.
Rode out to the channel to take photos Thanksgiving night of the sunset with family - very enjoyable family event - hope to start a new tradition.

The Lesche Family
Great place to have a dog, she was very happy.

The Sexton Family
This little house was perfect. Dog friendly, boat dock, comfy bed. Flowers and fruit very nice touch.

The Coarow Family
We came to see the manatees, which were amazing creatures. Gentle giants to be sure. It was extremely cold that day (51° H) while we were out. It was really nice to know we were coming back to a clean, comfortable, lovely décor and relaxing place. Thank you. It is very nice to know you can feel comfortable away from home.

We had a great "long winter stay", met lots of people and their four-legged buddies as they stayed upstairs. There was a two-legged one (Parrot) named Ralphie too! He talked and laughed and when it was time for them to leave said, "bye-bye, got to go"! In the canal difted dolphins, an otter pair (who are with child, we think), and mid-March through mid-April the manatees visited almost every day. It was awesome. We loved Charlie's for fish, Claw-Daddies for fresh raw oysters and Cody's for steak. Then it was off to the Manatee Festival in January, Greek Festival in February and Strawberry Festival in March; and we did lots of antiquing. Thanks Doug and Sherrie! We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an extended weekend or long-winter stay.

Great place with close access to the water and shopping. Well maintained......
