Description of the Cupar vacation cottage rental
Sleeps 4 + baby. 2 bedroom beautiful, traditional stone built cottage set in our country estate near Cupar in Fife. Free wi-fi internet access. The tennis court is about 50 yards from the cottage and is available for guests to use free. The cottage has its own garden and overlooks a paddock and duck pond. It is an idyllic, peaceful setting and a perfect base for exploring beaches, historic Fife or to enjoy its many golf courses. Peace and quiet, with plenty of space for the children to play.Garden Cottage is a lovely peaceful place to stay in the Fife countryside. It has 2 bedrooms, a sitting room, dining-room, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. It has been sensitively refurbished, but still retains many traditional features, such as an open fire in the sitting room and sloping ceilings in the bedrooms. It has full central heating for the cooler times of the year. It is set on a quiet country estate, with views over the pond, which is visited by many different species of animal and bird. The regulars are ducks - 32 at the moment - and Harry the Heron. We have spotted a sea eagle and a sparrow hawk recently too. Very occasionally otters appear and less welcome, the odd fox. The tennis court is near the cottage, and is available for use by guests, by arrangement. The cottage is about 9 miles from St Andrews, and so is perfect if you want to play golf, or for visitors to the University.

Area Information
The cottage has a lawn and garden area to the front, with mature plants. At the side there is rougher ground and woodland. Our farm is part arable, part livestock and we breed pedigree Highland Cattle - the traditional Scottish breed, with the impressive horns. We have them at all stages on the farm, from older, mature cows in the breeding herd, down to the new calves, which look like cuddly teddy bears! We also have our own hens, and we will be happy to sell you freshly laid brown eggs, and even introduce you to the hens that provide them. For small children we have a Little Tikes play area. It has slides and short ladders.A BBQ is provided for you to do some outdoor cooking.

Fife is renowned for its golf, and St Andrews is of course the home of golf. There are many courses to visit and chose from, from the Old Course itself, Kingsbarns, Strathyrum and the other St Andrews courses, as well as Cupar's courses, and close by Ladybank and Drumoig. Further afield there is the golf course on an island in the River Tay at Perth, and Carnoustie is only about an hour's drive away.
