One thing's for sure in Orlando is that you won't go hungry! There are hundreds of restaurants around Bahama Bay (there's a guide to some of them already in the apartment for you). All of the theme parks have an array of different eateries that cater for all tastes.

At Bahama Bay you'll also find:

"Overlooking beautiful Lake Davenport, Tradewinds restaurant offers family style, charming Caribbean, indoor and outdoor, delicious family friendly menu. Features full bar service with fantastic pool and lake views. Terrific for the entire family."

Mambo's Bar and Grill

"Overlooking clubhouse pool deck, Mambo's offers lite fare and terrific drinks in a casual outdoor atmosphere."

Pizza delivery can also be arranged at Bahama Bay.

Under 5 minutes drive from the complex are a host of different establishments from your regular IHOP, McDonalds, Wendy's etc, but you'll also find some specialties like a traditional English fish and chip cafe, Cohen's Kosher Deli and a host of Chinese and Indian restaurants.

Downtown Disney and Universal Walk are great locations for food and entertainment.

Kennedy Space Centre

Orlando vacations aren't complete without a trip to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Just east of the most popular Orlando attractions and theme parks, NASA's launch headquarters is the only place on Earth where you can tour launch areas, meet a veteran astronaut, see giant rockets, train in spaceflight simulators, and even view a launch. Experience more on your Orlando, Florida vacation with a daytrip to Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, where the sky isn't the limit - it's just the beginning.

Florida Beaches

Florida beaches, whether quiet and secluded or bustling with activity, are ranked among the best in the country for beauty, accessibility and facilities. Families, couples and active singles enjoy year-round sunshine, soft sand and clear Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean waters. You'll find some amazing beaches in Daytona, Sarasota, Clearwater, Miami and Cape Coral. If you're feeling really adventurous then maybe take a quick trip to The Bahamas!

Florida is awash (excuse the pun) with some amazing lighthouses - you could actually spend a whole vacation going to look at them all.

Water Parks

Generally it's hot in Florida, so there's no better activity than going to a water park - and there are loads of them to choose from.

Aquatica Water Park - Aquatica the South Seas-inspired waterpark features attractions from serene to extreme. Aquatica joins sister parks SeaWorld and Discovery Cove to create a trio of immersive marine life adventures found nowhere else in the world

Wet 'n Wild - Orlando's most exciting waterpark, offers the best variety of multi-passenger tube rides. Experience pulsating lights, dynamic effects and cosmic energy on THE BLACK HOLE: The Next Generation, as your two-person hydra capsule blasts off to new out-of-this-world thrills! Encounter a splashing dose of group therapy on Brain Wash and boogie down on the retro raft adventure - Disco H2O. Wet 'n Wild is open year-round.

Disney Water Parks - At Walt Disney World Resort, guests can choose between a mountain ski retreat and a tropical getaway to take the proverbial plunge into water fun at two of the most popular water parks in North America. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon features breaking waves, saltwater snorkeling pool and gushing water surges. Disney's Blizzard Beach offers all the spine-chilling thrills of a northern ski resort, whether it's bobsledding down the "snowy" slopes of Mt. Gushmore or plunging straight down Summit Plummet at up to 55 mph.

If you're planning to visit Busch Gardens in Tampa stop by Adventure Island, it's across the street. This 30 acre park has exciting water slides, a wave pool and beaches for you to relax on, you can even get a game of volleyball going with friends.

About 45 minutes north of Tampa is Weeki Wachee Springs where you can cool off at Buccaneer Bay, Florida's only spring fed water park. Enjoy a flume ride, relax on a lazy river or the white sand beach. They also have a kiddie pool for the little ones.

The Dali Museum

Based in St Petersberg and is the only 3 star rated attraction by the Michelin Guide on the West Coast of Florida! The Museum, which is having a new home built, is the largest collection of works by the Spanish surrealist Salvador Dali. Definitely worth a visit!

Downtown Disney

We love this place as a family, and it's FREE!
What's there to do when you're not in the Parks or it's way after dark? Day or night at Downtown Disney area, choose from dining with dinosaurs to a distinctly Disney shopping extravaganza to catching incredible live music and shows! Divided into 3 sections-Downtown Disney West Side, Downtown Disney Marketplace and Pleasure Island.

Did you know that there are more than 75 golf courses in Florida, and many of them are very close to Bahama Bay. A fair few of them are Championship Standard.

When it comes to sport, Florida has it all. From Golf, to US Football, Soccer, Motor Racing, Baseball and Basketball (to name a few), you'll find it anytime of the year during your vacation. The Orlando Sentinel is a great place to find out who's playing where and when.
