This is a unique waterfront house --compact & uncluttered-- with uncommonly large living room + dining area that takes full advantage of its view across a salt water bay to an undeveloped shoreline. House built in the '50s by owner's father. Survived Hurricane Matthew just fine: it got no water in the house.

THANK YOU for taking a look at our rental. Please make a note of the ID number: It is 31732. Use this number to come directly back to our posting. Do this by going up to the top box where it asks "Where do you want to go?" Instead of typing in a place (i.e., Daytona Beach, FL), just type in 31732. Then press "Search" and it should bypass everything else and immediately get you to this posting. (I am not the only one who finds Vacation Home Rentals somewhat difficult to navigate, but using 31732 is a neat shortcut through it to get back to our posting.)
When you contact us, 1-- Please confirm that you are non-smokers and will not be bringing pets, and, 2-- Please Provide Phone Number. I will try to reply with reasonable promptness; but I do NOT check my e-mail constantly; there're better things to do, like going to the beach (nearby). Or canoeing or kayaking (also nearby).
Hesitating? Check "Reviews" section below.
Please include phone number when responding. Non-smokers. No pets.
Short drive to area beaches. Boat, kayak and canoe launches nearby.

We enjoyed everything about this house. It's just right for a relaxing get away. Every morning having our coffee out sitting beside the bay watching the wildlife. I love watching birds and there are plenty of them that come around everyday. The house is very close to everything, fishing, the beach and shopping are only the main ones. But a day spent at the house to just relax is just that, relaxing. It is a very nice quiet neighborhood, you can sit and enjoy the quiet sounds of nature. I could go on and on. Thank you to the owners for such a nice place for us to have a wonderful relaxing vacation!! We will definitely be returning!!!
Thanks, Joyce.......You and Paul were delightful guests, and, as I said when returning your deposit, you got a Gold Star rating for how you left things. The next people could have moved right in, with almost nothing for us to have to do to get the house ready. (Your Great Blue Heron that hung out on the dock joins us in hoping you can come back soon.)

My sisters and I were lucky enough to find this quaint, peaceful place. The owners were wonderful and went out of their way to see that we had everything we needed. The house was perfect, water right out the back door. We watched birds, and would have coffee in the morning sitting outside enjoying the beautiful view. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. Property is close to numerous beaches and shopping areas. Perfect stay, and we would return again.

Really enjoyed our stay here. We enjoyed the quiet lifestyle of watching the wildlife by the water. Nice setting. Everything is very close if you need groceries or shopping or restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. We walked around it frequently. The house is simplistic. Everything you need is supplied. The owners are very kind and helpful.

Typical 1950's Florida home with lots of louvered windows allowing for good breezes and panoramic views. Clean, (good water pressure with hot showers and quick to heat furnace, it hit 38 deg f for two nights) neat and tidy home located on Rose Bay (tidal bay) Abundant wildlife, dolphines, cormorants, osprey ,egrets etc., great for birdwatchers and naturalist. Home is located close to shopping,( Wal-Mart, WinDixie(WinDixie has a card good for $.30 discount per gallon on Shell gas), pharmacies and automotive if needed). Two excellent nature preserves 5/10 minutes away. 2 Dog beaches about 15 minutes away. Other areas of interest within 1 hours drive, St Augustine, Kennedy Space Center, Disney, Universal, Amway Center etc all an easy straight commute. Daytona Speedway only 10 minutes away. Lots of good local eatteries close by. You can be as busy as you want with attractions, or just relax in the backyard with your fishing pole and/or watch the wildlife.(bring a canoe or kiyak if you have one) Ken and Patsy are excellent hosts providing info on local attractions.
We are devastated to hear you are planning to sell our favorite Florida place,,,,So glad to hear the hurricane did no serious damage.
