The MSC turtle rehabilitation area also includes care and treatment of freshwater turtles and land tortoises. There is also a gift shop where you can buy books and posters.
Ponce Inlet Jetty-
The Jetty is an outcropping of rock built up at the south end of the Daytona Beach Peninsula, which stretches about half a mile into the Atlantic Ocean. A paved walkway lets visitors walk out about half the distance of the Jetty to sightsee or go fishing. Dolphins can frequently be seen from the Jetty. The surfing is smaller than nearby New Smyrna Beach but has a nice swell.
Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and Museum

It is one of only 10 lighthouses in the nation designated a National Historic Landmark. Climb the winding staircase for beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax River. The lighthouse keepers' dwellings and other historic light station buildings are now home to a lighthouse museum, which features exhibits on lighthouse life, local history, lighthouse and Fresnel lens restoration, shipwrecks, and the lighthouse keepers and their families.

Reviews for this vacation condo rental in Daytona Beach, Florida
Great Family Getaway!
Great Family Getaway!

This was our first Florida beach vacation. We stayed for a week with our 3 children ages 20, 17 & 9. I was concerned that there would be enough to keep the kids busy, especially with their varied ages. This condo is in a great location, convenient to a Publix store that has most everything you may need, as well as restaurants and gift shops. A miniature golf place is close, as well as the Ocean Walk with shopping, restaurants & a cinema. Right across the street is an ice cream shop with a video game arcade! But we found plenty to do at Peck Plaza. The swimming pool and hot tub are pristine! We watched the man clean them early every morning from our balcony! The beach was great. We saw other guests and residents but it was never crowded, plenty of room to swim. They have plenty of umbrella tables and lounge chairs on the pool and sun decks. Also 2 outdoor showers on these decks. We also enjoyed shuffle board and billiards. The tennis and basketball courts looked very well maintained. The actual apartment was VERY clean. We had 2 huge bedrooms and 2 full baths. Our girls shared the bedroom and our son slept on the sofa. The furnishings were very clean & well-maintained. All linens and plenty of towels provided. The kitchen had everything we needed, microwave, stove, large fridge/freezer, even a dishwasher! The unit has a washer and dryer that was very convenient. TV's in bedroom and master bedroom are small but adequate and a VCR & DVD player are available in the living-room. We watched DVDs some evenings and all worked well. The views are stunning, from both bedrooms and the balcony. The beach was beautiful for lounging or strolling. We saw people surfing, boogie boarding & fishing right down the beach from us. We would definitely recommend this rental and Daytona Beach Shores to anyone looking for a fun oceanfront vacation stay!

We loved the condo, and the views, but would be helpfull to have more instructions concerning getting into the building, we had a key ring with several keys and werent sure which one went to the main door, and then it wasnt a key it was a bar on the keychain, we just happened to get to the door at the same time another resident did so we saw how to open the door. Should have had a key to the fitness room but didn't. Other than those minor things we loved our stay, and would stay again

We spend two weeks in Daytona at the begining of June and stayed the Pegg Plaza and it was great.. Great location, great view, great beach.... The condo was big enough and well furnished. Everything we needed was there. Couldn't ask for more. And will go back for sure!
