This 5-bedroom home is spectacular in any season! Dramatic mountain views frame lake Dillon across the street. Walk two blocks to the marina, stroll to downtown or hop the nearby bus to 4 ski resorts (Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper, Arapaho Basin, with Vail just a short drive away). This unique home is extremely high end with extraordinary quality at ever turn.

This is a three floor home with the top two floors available for rent. While this listing is just for the Penthouse, I also describe the second floor, Middle Earth, below just for your convenience (so you do not have to jump around between listings) to see if you want to add it for an extra charge. You can rent just the Penthouse, just Middle Earth, or both together. They connect inside but also have outside entrances so can be completely private from one another. See the floor plan to see how it lays out!

THE PENTHOUSE DETAIL: #209872

Step into the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous! Take the long drive up to the grand entrance with a seasonal water fountain and lush landscaping, opening to cathedral ceilings, original artwork, and stunning slate and knotty pine floors. A super-gourmet, fully-equipped kitchen with a massive granite counter and island, 6-burner stove and double oven to bring out your inner chef. It has every cooking amenity you could ask for!

The living room has a huge rock fireplace and massive flat screen TV, all overlooking the lake and mountains. A large deck with massive outdoor dining table and stainless steel gas grill for you outdoor cooks. The dining room table is a one-of-a-kind art piece cut from a giant hollow log.

The master bedroom, also with a lake view and fireplace, has WOW all over it with a king bed, antique furnishings, TV, stereo, and reading area. The master bath is to die for: double-nozzle steam shower with side jets made for two (or six), Jacuzzi tub and walk-in dressing room. The stone finishes are gorgeous. The second bedroom has two bunk beds and a trundle all of solid tree beams. Very cool.

Park in the roomy garage and walk directly into floor-heated rooms that are oh-so-nice on snowy days. A laundry room is right off the mid room.

The Penthouse sleeps 5 in two private rooms, 2 more on a fold-out couch, with an extra couch on the side, so 8 at the very maximum, but far more comfortable with 5. It connects with 'Middle Earth' via inside stairway, though Middle Earth also has an outside entrance for those who want a bit more privacy or separation between those in your group.

MIDDLE EARTH DETAIL: #209874

MIDDLE EARTH IS A SEPARATE RENTAL, DESCRIBED HERE ONLY TO SHOW YOU WHAT YOU CAN ADD FOR AN EXTRA CHARGE. TO ADD MIDDLE EARTH, TALK TO OWNER OR GO TO 209874 to rent only the middle floor (sleeps 10 MAX), or to 209873 to rent both floors together (sleeps 18 MAX).

The middle floor is for fun! It has its own entrance next to the hot tub. The master bedroom is huge and gorgeous, overlooking the lake, with a king bed, private dressing room with laundry, and private full bath. The guest bedroom has a queen bed and a bit of a lake view as well, with a beautiful bathroom right outside the door, shared with the main room. There is a sun room that doubles as a third bedroom with a double futon couch that folds out to sleep two, and a single bunk above it with a stairway to the bunk (no climbing a ladder). That sunroom also has a couch that could sleep one, and is also a game room with Foosball, toys and a very big dining table of Brazilian Rosewood that seats 10 in new leather chairs. The sun room has a balcony on one side and the main entrance deck with hot tub and gas grill on the other side. The main living room has a very large TV, stereo, extensive video library, games and super comfy couches, one of which folds out to a queen bed. It also has a wet bar and coffee bar. The kitchen has stainless steel quality: Refrigerator, dishwasher, gas stove, microwave oven, toaster oven and all plates, utensils, cooking equipment and some condiments. It also comes with a private garage space, with plenty of parking outside as well. Come nestle into Middle Earth!

Summer and Winter activities are nearby, with plenty to choose from.

WINTER:

Downhill skiing and snowboarding at Keystone is a mere 10 minutes away; Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, A-Basin and Loveland are very close, and Vail is about a half hour. Cross country trails are available at Keystone, Breckenridge, and on the Frisco Peninsula. There is something for everyone, even those who don't ski or snowboard, with snow shoeing, ice skating, a movie theater, live community theater, bowling, concerts, excellent restaurants and plenty of shopping nearby.

Free bus service on the Summit Stage is a short walk away, with frequent service to Keystone, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, A-Basin, Frisco and the Silverthorne Outlets.

SUMMER:

In the summer, my favorite thing is to grab bikes from the garage, start on the bike path right at the driveway, bike around the lake to Frisco, have breakfast and take the water taxi, with bike, back to the Dillon Marina, hang out at the famous marina Tiki Bar, catch the evening free concert there at the amphitheater, then ride all of two blocks back to the house!

The Dillon Marina has boat rentals, Dillon Amphitheater (free sunset weekend concerts and nature presentations) and the Dillon Farmers Market (food, gifts and artwork every Friday) are a 5 minute walk away.

For fly fishing, this property is in between the Blue River, Snake River and Ten Mile River. It's great!

The bike path runs along the lower part of Gold Run Circle, and provides safe bike access to Frisco, Breckenridge, Keystone, and a trail over Vail Pass for the hardy. Prime hiking and walking trails abound, and summer special events such as art festivals, jazz festivals, beer and wine tasting festivals and popular concert series are frequent and nearby. The renowned National Repertory Orchestra performs its summer season in Breckenridge with occasional concerts at Keystone.

A ski bus is a short walk away. Walking to marina and downtown and amphitheater. Big stores and outlets nearby.

Just beautiful! My family and I stayed here 3 nights and had such an amazing experience! (Adults, children, and TEENAGERS!) We rented out both villas and both were just perfect! And.... we saw dolphins!!!!! Very friendly area and the beach is very clean and gorge! The owner is very nice and easy to deal with. Private area and the guards are very friendly as well. So are the surrounding neighbors :) We will definitely be coming back! The only thing we didn't like was that we had to come back :( lol

THE PERFECT RENTAL:

What a great house. We arrived never having been to Dillon, or knowing what to expect. Not only was our level expertly appointed, the beds were very comfortable, the views spectacular, and access to Dillon Lake, nearby restaurants and farmers markets and biking trails unequaled, but it was wonderful situated amidst every major ski resort and numerous hiking trails within an easy drive to the charming areas of Breckinridge, Frisco, and Copper Mountain, where we enjoyed a free outdoor show.

This is lovely and relaxing property -- the perfect antithesis of for the hustle-bustle of our east coast big city environs. Lots of comfortable deck space, a fully functioning kitchen, wide screen TV (which we did not watch - why do that when you enjoy such a terrific environment?), and lots of other amenities. Rooms were spacious. There was nothing not to like, and there's lots of flexibility if your party is small (like ours) or large. The owner has thought of everything.

While I was here during the late summer, I would especially enjoy coming back here for a week or two for skiing this winter. Such a terrific location for best skiing the area can provide. Dillon itself is a lovely community -- you can almost walk to numerous charming restaurants. There was always something going on nearby.

Highly recommended, and a great value, winter or summer.

What a gorgeous place! Thanks so much for making sure we had everything and even sending that adorable neighbor boy over to check on us, and leaving all the tourist material for us to check out the many activities. Very thoughtful. The best was the block walk to the marina (I LOVE the Tiki bar) and amphitheater. Great free concert, and we could drink and walk home. Yay! I could not believe how close you are to everything. Having bicycles there is a great touch. We rode them along the bike path to Frisco, had breakfast, and took the water taxi back right to the marina. So fun! The new big bed in the guest room is fantastic, so thank you for rushing to get it in for us. I can see the kitchen will be done imminently, but we actually did not lack for anything, so we will definitely be back to check out ski season since you are a block from the ski shuttle.


THE BEST! STAY HERE IF YOU WANT FIRST-CLASS COMFORT AND ACCESS.

I stayed at this magnificent home for 3 days, and was continuously astonished at how amazing it was. The penthouse has beautiful views of Lake Dillon, a huge deck, lovely furniture and a chef's kitchen. Everything from the furnishings, to the linens to the art work were premium quality and plush. The owner was friendly, accommodating and fair; very easy to deal with. Not sure why anyone would give this place anything less than 5 stars, it exceeded every expectation we had. Tip: visit the marina just across the street and grab a drink at their dockside bar! Fun and close.

RELAXING COMFORT IN THE MOUNTAINS:

My husband and I stayed at this lovely property for three days to catch up with family in the area. We loved the location just off the bike path around the lake. We enjoyed several activities including a Friday night concert in town and a local restaurant; picked up some treats at the craft/arts fair in Dillon. It's also a great location if you are taking the ferry from Breckenridge to Dillon; we were able to walk home and relax on the deck after an enjoyable day. There are several hiking trails nearby too for hikers of all levels. This place is perfect for a couple, or friends who are looking for a central place to gather in all seasons-so much to do. The owner was very accommodating. We hope to come back!
