“The Loft at Sebec Lake”
The Loft is a bit quirky, but very comfortable cabin on a beautiful, quiet lake-- great swimming, fishing, boating, and more. The cabin sits on the western shore of the lake, so you have great views of the sunrise. Merrill's general store, the marina, and the public sand beach are all within a very short walk from the cabin.
Owner's reply: Thank you for the review, Becka!
“Fall Car Run Group”
We are a small group of muscle car nuts that do a couple runs every year to various location. We picked Dover-Foxcroft this year. There aren't a whole of motels in the area. When I found these cottages and they where willing to let us have it the weekend it worked out perfect. Unfortunately the weather wasn't as cooperative. Thankfully we had the cottages and we could all be together at 1 gathering place. Sebec Lake is beautiful. The cottages where comfortable and very well appointed and very clean. Would stay there again.
Owner's reply: Thank you for the review! So glad you had a good time on the lake.
My fishing vacation with my son was great. The location worked out with renting a boat and other services. Had plenty of room and all the rooms were very nice. It had a great kitchen and living room and great view of the lake. Hope to come back in the future.
Owner's reply: Thanks for staying with us, Ernie! Hope to see you again.
It has been a long time since I have been on sebec lake. My father grew up in the nearby town of Guilford and we were vacationing there for a family reunion. It brought back great memories from when I was a child and used to visit my grandmothers camp there. Turns out this home I rented was my great aunts' camp. What a wonderful surprise. I was worried my three young children wouldn't enjoy it for the lack of tv and technology. I was wrong. The absolute best family vacation we have had. So peaceful and so beautiful. No way I can possibly describe how much pleasure the "simple life" can really bring you.
This camp may look small from the outside but we were able to sleep 5 adults and a baby very comfortably. The location of this camp is perfect. Best place we've stayed on Sebec Lake so far! Would definitely rent this camp again!
“Sebec Lake is Awesome !”
We had a great time. We went kayaking, boating, fishing. The camp had enough room to allow family to come over and spend one night with us. It made for a great time. It is really comfy and relaxing. This was our 2nd time at this camp.
“Cozy camp with a great view”
The camp is right on the lake with a great view. It is located just a block away from Tim Merrill's convenience store and boat rental. The public beach is within walking distance and the beach at Peaks Kenney State Park is only a mile or so away. It was just me and my brothers fishing, swimming and grilling. It was great. The upstairs loft gave us three good sized beds to sleep on with a nice breeze coming in off the lake. Very relaxing and highly recommended for those just wanting to get away and do some fishing on the great Sebec Lake. FYI - if you need cell phone reception you need to drive 10 minutes into town, Dover-Foxcroft, and call from there - isn't that why you want to go away in the first place?
“Swimming with 'Walter' in Sebec Lake”
My husband, granddaughters, and I, had a great time at this camp. I wish I had a net to catch the big fish swimming with me out by the buoy! The cottage was comfortable. The essentials were provided. Plenty of beds so we all had our own. The lack of drinking water from the faucet was a surprise, but one makes do. I loved the morning lake views and the evening calmness of the lake. Our first morning there, a lone loon went paddling by with an occasional call. So cool! I would have preferred to spend more time at the lake, but the vacation was mixed with other family obligations, so we couldn't just hang at the lake all day. I think all would enjoy staying at this cottage. Thank you to the Macombers and Joe, for a wonderful opportunity to live by a lake for a week.
