Owner Supplied Testimonials

We really enjoyed our stay at Second Street Suite. It was so much nicer than staying at a hotel! The apartment was spacious and very clean.

The location can't be beat; you can walk downtown and hop on the highways easily. Peggy was very helpful and available for questions. And the breakfasts she made were the icing on the cake.

I would definitely stay here again when visiting Clearfield.

Enjoyed the nice, spacious apartment - we only stayed one night, but agreed it would have been a great place to spend a week or more. Roomy kitchen and bath, lots of natural light, quiet location where you can relax and have privacy. The apartment was nicely furnished, well stocked with all the necessities, and absolutely spotless - it really felt like home away from home.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a peaceful getaway and found this beautiful apartment in Clearfield PA. the apartment was very clean (immaculate) and warm, we were able to relax in the living area and watch TV or read a book and put together some delicious meals in Peggy's spacious kitchen.

What i loved about the bedroom was that there was no TV, so it made sleeping very pleasant. I will definitely return and visit and stay with Peggy of course because it was a great experience.

Our trip to the U.S. was a success in many ways and our visit in Clearfield was ever the more pleasant thanks to your Second Street apartment.

Take good care, Allen and Anneli

This is my second stay and it was just as good as the first. I love this suite - not to mention the hospitality. I would rather stay here over a hotel any day. It has been nothing less than a pleasure.

We had a wonderful time and the apartment was wonderful. Never saw so many elk at one time (Benezette). Thanks for everything.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Cody and Candy were very happy and we all felt at home in this beautiful suite. Everyone was kind to us; this is the friendliest town I have ever been to. We will be back to see you again!

We loved our visit to beautiful, historic Clearfield. Our stay at the Second Street Suite and your Victorian Loft Bed & Breakfast were wonderful. The people are so warm and kind. We will return soon.

Perfect! We have been searching for this utopia as a respite between Cleveland and New York City for nearly 20 years! The amenities are wonderful even down to a nearby walk along the Susquehanna River with Lucy the Border Collie!

We have enjoyed our stay here and it has helped us to understand what is available in the area.

Within a short walking distance, you have restaurants, a theater, grocery store, drug stores, shops, post office, library, & churches.

Historica Plus has lots of interesting items and beautiful furniture.

The Herb Place has natural/organic products and farm-fresh eggs.

And there is an Aveda Salon across the street (Taffy's Spa & Salon).

I enjoyed the parks and seeing all the beautiful old home and I love hearing the church bells play hymns twice a day. Who knew banana bread could be "decadent"?

This was Joseph's (8 months old) first big trip and overnight. We were pleasantly surprised by this little place. It was perfect for us and the baby while visiting for our family reunion. We loved being right downtown!

The Second Street Suite was a home away from home. We loved the people and places in Clearfield County and hope to be back this way again.

The wineries, state parks, and festivals were great fun, but the host and the people we met were the best of all.

We wanted a getaway in the mountains to reconnect and it couldn't have been better. The homemade bread was delicious.

We've stayed with you so often now that we have lost count. As always we enjoyed the suite and appreciated all you have done to provide all the comforts of home!

We completely enjoyed our stay at the Second Street Suite in downtown Clearfield, PA. The space was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, quiet, and cozy.

The rate was great and beat staying at a hotel. It was nice having the extra space for a four night stay.

Space included a living room, bedroom, bathroom, and full kitchen.

The suite was located on the second floor of a home, so you do have to go up stairs. The main entry to the house went into a small foyer.

We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend to others how want something other than a hotel.

The Victorian Loft was beautiful with spacious and clean rooms, and beautiful views. Peggy was a warm and caring hostess who treated us like family. Homemade cookies in the bedroom was a comforting touch, upon our arrival, and the breakfasts were bountiful with a variety of menu items.

The Lydia bathroom was perfect size with double sinks and a door that lead out to the balcony with a beautiful view of the river in front of the B & B. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice to have extra pillows and blankets in the room.

Parking was available right in the driveway and the location was excellent for a daily run or walk.

Peggy shared her Clearfield history, as well as, past and current town activities.

I was in PA for a cousins wedding and during my visit, I learned that many of my out of town cousins have stayed at the B & B and loved it.

Thank you, Peggy, for making my trip to PA a memorable one.

Driving south to Washington from Ontario via Buffalo, we chose this B & B because of the excellent reviews. We were not disappointed.

From the charm and warmth of the house to the charm and warmth of our hostess Peggy, all was exactly as one would want in a home away from home.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, which was prepared to suit our specific dietary requirements. We also thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast conversation with Peggy.

Our pre-bedtime stroll along the Susquehanna was most enjoyable, and gave us a delectable taste of Smalltown, Pa .
