Waterview, beautiful 3-bdr, walk to private beach
It comfortably sleeps 6, but you will not want more than two of you after seeing the romantic master bedroom suite upstairs with a large whirlpool bathtub and oversize shower; custom Anderson windows and skylights.
There are ceiling fans in every room; high speed internet, TV, VHS/cassette player. The kitchen is complete with all the appliances, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric teapot, toaster and microwave oven; washer and drier in the half-finished basement.
Share the ever-changing water view sipping coffee in the morning or over dinner from the new very large deck with a grill... and a helicopter hammock chair.
After a day on the beach, get refreshed in the enclosed warm outdoor shower.
A short walk through a tree-lined quiet neighborhood will take you to a free private sandy association beach (free street parking); a short swim across - and you are on secluded Washburn Island, a state park with sandy beaches, clamming and fishing. You can also (quite successfully) fish from the beach or use our kayaks to explore the local bay, marshes and ponds - one of the numerous rights of way is across from the house.
You bike to Falmouth beaches; the beautiful South Cape beach in Mashpee is within a short drive; Old Silver beach is great for sunsets.
Falmouth is very quaint with great restaurants, numerous beaches and endless opportunities for shopping lovers. Vibrant Mashpee Commons ('shoppers paradise') is just a short drive. The close by town of Woodshole offers more charming restaurants and shopping; Oceanographic Institute with a great marine life exhibit and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard for an exciting day trip or whale watching.

Reviews for this vacation cottage rental in East Falmouth, Massachusetts

The description was nothing like the actual house. When we arrived, the house was full of dust and smelled moldy. There were spiders and bugs everywhere and we had to clean the house before unpacking our stuff. Yard was overgrown and the front walk was all mud and sand. Had to shovel off the muck from front walk so we wouldn't track mud and dirt onto the rug. We left a day early because we had enough of the bugs and webs in every corner.
