Description of the East Falmouth vacation cottage rental
Sitting on a rise, the house provides not only a beautiful water view, but a continuous breeze, 'the natural air conditioner'. It's stylishly furnished and filled with light, books, and artwork. Not your typical Cape Cod cottage but rather a bright 'casa Mexicana' with open floor concept - spacious living/dining/kitchen area with skylights and cathedral ceiling, fireplace, and woodwork throughout; two bedrooms and full bathroom on the first floor.

It comfortably sleeps 6, but you will not want more than two of you after seeing the romantic master bedroom suite upstairs with a large whirlpool bathtub and oversize shower; custom Anderson windows and skylights.

There are ceiling fans in every room; high speed internet, TV, VHS/cassette player. The kitchen is complete with all the appliances, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric teapot, toaster and microwave oven; washer and drier in the half-finished basement.

Share the ever-changing water view sipping coffee in the morning or over dinner from the new very large deck with a grill... and a helicopter hammock chair.
After a day on the beach, get refreshed in the enclosed warm outdoor shower.

Area Information
You'll never run out of things to do.
A short walk through a tree-lined quiet neighborhood will take you to a free private sandy association beach (free street parking); a short swim across - and you are on secluded Washburn Island, a state park with sandy beaches, clamming and fishing. You can also (quite successfully) fish from the beach or use our kayaks to explore the local bay, marshes and ponds - one of the numerous rights of way is across from the house.
You bike to Falmouth beaches; the beautiful South Cape beach in Mashpee is within a short drive; Old Silver beach is great for sunsets.

Falmouth is very quaint with great restaurants, numerous beaches and endless opportunities for shopping lovers. Vibrant Mashpee Commons ('shoppers paradise') is just a short drive. The close by town of Woodshole offers more charming restaurants and shopping; Oceanographic Institute with a great marine life exhibit and the ferry to Martha's Vineyard for an exciting day trip or whale watching.
