About the area

This is the area of the Pocono Mountains that I have enjoyed for the last 35 years. Without being too remote the easy access from PA. or NY puts you in areas with the most natural beauty, best fishing and boating, and skiing ares of all the Pocono areas. The two story chalet is on one of Pennsylvania's most beautiful streams. The water is crystal clear and isgood for tubing and fishing. My favorite thing is to have a campfire,by the stream with the sound of the moving water as the afternoon fades into the evening. Bushkillfalls, Camel back water park, and canoeing on the Delaware are just a few of the activities in our area. And for those that want more STUFF the Tanners-ville Outlets are 15 minutes down the road.Zip lines, ang Golfing are very close At the end of the day its always great to sit on the upper deck. listen to the water, hear the wild life and forget all about the city.

“The closest you can get to mother nature...”

Reviewed 12 Aug 2015

The place was just how we hoped it to be: rustic with a beautiful stream at its backyard. My kids ages 2.5, 4 and 14 yo all loved the water and the included amenities. The two little ones spent almost half the day in the water swimming and playing with rocks, fishing (with the rubber baits, no bites on our trip), my teenager playing pool and walking along the water. The house has complete amenities which was a plus. We grilled on the huge deck on our first day and had all our meals outdoors. The best part is having our coffee and lounging on the Adirondack chairs with the sound of gushing water. My mother in law loved it so much she kept on thanking me for bringing her here. Both my inlaws were amazed on how I found this place. Thank Vacation Home Rentals for a detailed profile! The landlord was also very friendly and even brought us extra cooking pans. We appreciated the quick tour of his place. I have rented about 5 lakehouses in the past and even if the previous ones were updated and had modern granite kitchens, we enjoyed this trip the most because of its vicinity and its touch of tranquility. It was also close to Bushkill Falls which was another beautiful experience for all of us. We found out about it last minute and for it being about only 6 miles away, we grabbed that opportunity of taking a 45 minute hike around the falls and boy was it an experience. Lastly, seeing three deers roaming around the chalet and frogs and worms was a big plus for my little ones. We will definitely come back! Thank you Harris for sharing your place to renters!

Owner's reply: Thanks for the review Duke; It was great to meet you and all of your family!! Harris

Our experience at this Chalet was overall very pleasant. The location is convenient. The amenities in the community were nice. The only negative was lack of cell phone service. It would be wise for the owner to install a land line in case of emergencies or need to communicate in general. He can block long distance calls and still provide the needed service.

Owner's reply: At and T works best, Verizon works on the Road ways and every where in Poconos. We have WiFi,and great cell service, but some cell companies may not work at the house. HG
