About the area

Ride your bikes or take a short car ride over to exquisite ocean side National Seashore beaches where the water is colder but the surf is amazing! At high tide you can enjoy surfing, swimming and fantastic waves, and at low tide, you can walk for miles, build sand castles and explore the tide pools with the kids. Freshwater swimming is also available at nearby Great Pond. Eastham is the “Gateway to the National Seashore,” and is perfectly located to explore the Cape from the canal to Provincetown. You get the best of both worlds with the bay on one side and the ocean on the other. Our house is within a half mile of Cape Cod's Rail Trail for biking, rollerblading and evening strolls. Plenty of shopping, golf and mini golf courses and many other activities await you just a short distance away. Drive less than half an hour to Provincetown or Hyannis to enjoy their numerous eclectic shops, galleries and restaurants. Explore the salt water marshes and Audubon Sanctuary, the only drive-in theater on the outer cape or a flea market.
