Terrific location for relaxing, reading on the dock, kayaking, slowly getting to know the resident loons and their large chick, and watching from the pond at night the international space station fly overhead. Lazy (easy to eat) lobster is not easily found near Bangor, but it can be found without trouble in some restaurants 30 minutes to the southeast. The house is comfortable, quiet without being secluded.
“a little slice of heaven”
I spent a total of 75 days here. Waking up to the cry of the loons and star gazing at night. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything I needed. A great place to rejuvenate after a day at work. AL and Cindy are the best made sure all my needs were met. I highly recommend for a short stay or if your in the area for an extended period. Easy to get to Acadia National Park as well as Bar Harbor. Take advantage of the canoe and kayak to explore the pond.

The pictures on the web site really don't say much about this house. It is very cozy and very well equipped. The owners are very gracious in seeing that you have what you need. We had a great stay.....
Owner's reply: Thank you so much for staying with us, it was a pleasure meeting your family.
“Heaven on a Maine Lake”
What a gem! Stunning views from every window! Loons calling, fish jumping, the feeling that you just might be the only human in the world...everything I could have imagined. Davis Pond is a small lake and very peaceful. No big speed boats or noise. Like glass at dawn and dusk. Perfect for fishing and paddling, bird watching, or just lazing by the water recharging the life batteries. Spacious campy interior with a full and wonderfully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, sattelite TV, scores of books, electric heat and AC, a deck, a dock and a fire pit. Use of canoes, paddle boat. All you need to bring with you are your food and fishing gear. Perfect 3-season cottage! I came here for my family reunion and to buy a house. Even though I spent most of my two weeks on those two crazy activities, coming back to this wonderful lakeside gave me great peace and relaxation. Bought the house, but I hope to come back for a few days every year. The Belangers are great folks -- welcoming and very helpful. Really nice and friendly as well. The water heater went out unexpectedly, and Al was on it within hours. I really couldn't have asked for more. This was my first experience with online vacation rentals, and I hit the jackpot! You will too if you're lucky enough to rent this place. nancyC

“Relaxation at it's best!”
What a wonderful location on the water! We really enjoyed having our own dock, with the use of the paddle boat, and canoe. Did some swimming and fishing- catching bass, perch and pickerel. Beautiful full moon on the lake was breathtaking, from both outside on the deck as well as from inside the cottage. We were able to watch the loons close up and enjoyed listening to them. We enjoyed the fire pit a couple nights with our grandchildren, making smores. Lots of wood was already there for our use. The cottage is fully equipped, including a large flat screen TV, and a phone. Plenty of bedding and towels, and a full kitchen. Everything in the kitchen you could possibly need to cook or bake, even had the dishes we needed for our Lobster feast!. It was also nice to have a washer and dryer there. The appliances appear to be new, and there was a new bed. Very comfortable couches and recliner too. Boy did we ever relax. It was great! It is such a nice location with lots of privacy. It is still close enough to Bangor to go shopping or sight seeing. We had selected it since it was close to our daughter and her family, which worked out very well. They came and enjoyed time with us too. The owner and his wife were most gracious, making sure we had everything we needed. They live close by, therefore they would be able to come at once if there was any problem, but there weren't any problems at all. We would definitely recommend this vacation home! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
