About the area

The city of Greers Ferry borders magnificent Greers Ferry Lake which is 42 miles long with 40,000 acres of pristine water and 360 miles of shoreline on one of the cleanest lakes in America. The closest marina is Lacey's Marina which offers boat slips, fishing boats, pontoon boat rentals, and jet ski rentals, see their web info. Fairfield Bay Marina also offers boat rentals, party barges, fishing guides and rental equipment at its 357-slip, both are full-service marinas. The nearest boat launch is just over the bridge about 1 mile at Devil's Fork Recreational Area. We are located directly across from the weigh in facility during tournaments. At Greer's Ferry Lake, you will enjoy the best water-skiing and fishing available. Great golf courses are just a short drive away at Fairfield Bay as well as other activities including boating, swimming, camping, picnicking, scuba diving, water skiing, sight seeing. There is hiking at Fairfield Bay and on a developed nature trail winding up Sugar Loaf Mountain, now an island in Greer's Ferry Lake, boat required for access. One of the most popular fishing and floating streams in Arkansas, the lower Little Red River flows from the base of Greers Ferry Dam near the town of Heber Springs to eventually merge with the White River at the Hurricane Lake Wildlife Management Area, just east of Searcy. The chief reason for its popularity is trout - thousands and thousands of which are stocked in the stream on a regular basis. Good scenery and convenient access also work in the river's favor. Area attractions include Blanchard Springs Caverns, the Ozark Folk Center, Oaklawn Horse racing track in Rockwell, and of course, the entertainment of Branson, Missouri is only 2-1/2 hours north.

“Wonderful place to stay!!”

Reviewed 2 Jul 2013

Our family stayed here over the holiday weekend, everyone had a great time. The house is very roomy and comfortable. My daughter left several rented DVDs behind and the owner was wonderful when it came to working with us to have the DVDs mailed back to us. I would recommend this home and the owner was a delight to work with. Thank you for a relaxing experience!!

“Coffee on downstairs patio or upstairs porch!”

More than adequate space, nice view looking upon the lake are pluses. Negative is very steep driveway. Overall - enjoyed our stay and would consider staying again if ever in the area again.

“Fabulous Lake house!!”

Reviewed 12 Oct 2012

My family rented this lakehouse for the majority of the summer 2012. We loved it! It was clean, had everything we could possibly need. The location and view were great! Dawn was excellent to work with, she made us feel very welcome and at home! We cant wait to rent it again!!

“Great Home”

This home is a great place to stay. This is our traditional summer vacation house to stay in. It is roomy, very clean and comfortable. You will love spending your evenings on the deck getting a view of the lake. The location is great for dining or shopping. Dawn is great to work with and they take much pride in making your stay very comfortable. Thanks Dawn and Sam for such a great place to stay. The Allen's and Dixon's

“Great Weekend!”

Reviewed 3 Apr 2012

I could not have asked for a better weekend with my family or a better place to stay. The house is very well kept and clean which does make a difference. It's obvious the owners want to take care of this property not only for their own financial interest but also for the benefit and enjoyment of those who stay there. Thank you for providing such a good place for my family and I to spend time together drawing us closer to one another and to the God we serve.

“Weekend get away”

Reviewed 19 Jul 2011

I was very happy with my stay at the house. The house was very nice and clean. It had a wonderful view of the lake and also was in a very quiet neighborhood. I will refer this to anyone who is looking for a house with room for friends or family. My friends and I enjoyed our weekend staying here and plan to do it again in the future.

“Great house with wonderful views and amenities”

Reviewed 3 Jul 2011

Our family of 4 adults thoroughly enjoyed our visit during the last week of June. Kitchen is fully stocked with what you will need - we cooked every night except one. The house is VERY clean and comfortable. Excellent views of the lake and the mountains. It's a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood...and only five minutes to the Devils Fork boat launch. The only downside was you could hear traffic on the road below when out on the deck, but it's very quiet inside. The hot water heater broke one night, but the owner had someone there to replace it before we got back from the lake the lake the very next day. We definitely recommend this home and would rent again. Thanks for a very pleasant stay, Dawn and Sam. The Gingerich Family

We just spent a great week in this house, located in a beautiful setting overlooking Greer's Ferry Lake. We were just a couple, but this house would be ideal for a large family or group. We strongly recommend the house, and would be happy to rent it again.

Owner Supplied Testimonials

The house was great and we intend to use it more in the future. Thanks for working with us on short notice. Barry, Memphis, TN - Rented May 29-31, 2009

Thank you so much for sending my makeup case to me! I was so thrilled when my son told me you had found it and would send it to me. You really went over and above any expectations I had of that happening. So, you really blessed me! I wanted to thank you, too, for allowing us the use of your home. I don't know if my son told you why we were all gathered. Our fourth son, is actually being deployed today to Iraq for a year. He's been stationed in El Paso, TX so we tried to think of a way we could all meet (we have five sons) and say our last goodbyes together as a family. He hadn't seen our new grand baby so we thought it'd be good to meet up in Little Rock area where our
son and his wife live with our grandson. Our third son and his wife came down from Minneapolis. We had a wonderful time together. Your home slept all of us so comfortably and our every need was met. We even were able to get a family Christmas picture of all of us in front of your fireplace. It turned out great! Thanks again for going the extra mile for me as well as making your place available to us. We made lots of memories there! Blessings on you and your family this Thanksgiving season.

Thank you Dawn, we enjoyed it very much. The view was wonderful and we enjoyed how much room was in the kitchen. We both hated to come back to ours! We had a great day fishing with our guide and we caught many fish. The lake is absolutely beautiful. Thanks again for sharing your home. Melissa, Horn Lake, MS - Rented May 18-23, 2010

Dawn, Thank you for letting us stay at your home! It was perfect! Thanks for all of your help!

"Beautiful lake views"

The house is so spacious & comfortable and spotlessly clean, everything you need is there. We had driven a lot of miles before we arrived here, so we really appreciated the peaceful location. A real home from home. The only downside, this is a dry county, if you like a cold beer buy before you go.
