This beautiful home has attracted very favorable reviews and testimonials from guests who have stayed there ( see below ). It's in an ideal central location steeped in local history, and is within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, Loch Lomond, and other areas visitors want to see in a trip to Scotland.
A beautifully furnished exclusive home, traditionally styled with large bay windows and spacious living accommodation ( 2,000 sq ft ). Attracts natural light from all sides, raised aspect offering views across lush green parklands to a stunning range of hills.
Sits proudly in this enviable spot, on the edge of a small clutch of individually designed houses. Ample groundspace of 10,000 sq ft enables sloped landscaped gardens at the front, side and rear; a wide driveway with double garage; and railed walling / privacy fencing round the grounds perimeter.
ACCESSIBLE SPACIOUS HOME
The home is all on one level, giving easy access throughout and a layout which flows freely from room to room. Main entrance double doors lead into a welcoming vestibule, then to a wide T-shaped hallway which is the centrepiece of the home with all rooms running off it. This has several glass panelled doors to maximise natural light; and picture lighting over paintings by Vettriano, the renowned modern Scottish artist.
The two bay-windowed front rooms comprise a spacious lounge with 2 sofas, riser/recliner chair, classic style stone fireplace, and widescreeen TV/DVD. And a master bedroom with ensuite and walk-in shower, built-in wardrobes, matching bedroom furniture with mirrored dresser, trouser press, and wall-mounted widescreen TV.
The hallway also leads to a double bedroom with built-in wardrobes and TV/DVD; a guest bathroom with full facilities and shower; and a smartly designed office suite, with internet workstation, mahogany closet, and leather sofa that converts to a bed.
REAR GARDEN WITH VIEWS
The top of the hallway takes you to the rear of the house and into a good-sized kitchen with dining area, utility room and wide window overlooking back garden and views beyond. There's also a stylish separate dining room with porthole window and French doors opening into a bright spacious conservatory / sun room. This leads outside onto decking with seats, a ramped walkway down to the large patio, and landscaped garden displays of heathers, connifers, evergreens and flowering shrubs.
HOME FROM HOME AND A GREAT HOLIDAY BASE
This is high quality accommodation that wont disappoint, and a great base for your holiday vacation. Truly a home you can enjoy and make your own during your stay in Bonnie Scotland.
The home is ideally located on the outskirts of the small town of Falkirk, which lies mid-way between Edinburgh and Glasgow and a 30 minute drive to each.
A train station within a few minutes walk connects to the centre of both Scotland's major cities. Between them they boast fine dining and high class shopping, daily and nightly entertainment, art galleries and museums, performing arts and music festivals, Scotland's national football and rugby stadiums, its Parliament Building, Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace - the Royal Family's official Scottish residence.
LOCAL HISTORICAL SITES
The Falkirk area, together with the nearby small towns of Stirling and Linlithgow, is steeped in history going back hundreds of years. Parts of the original Roman Wall can be seen around the area, and you can take tours of famous historical landmarks in Braveheart Country, such as the monuments to Sir William Wallace and Robert The Bruce, Bannockburn Battlefield, Stirling Castle and Stirling Bridge.
A short drive to Linlithgow Palace offers guided tours of what was the favourite residence of the Stuart Kings and the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots. Within Falkirk, two major tourist attractions provide a sharp contrast between the old and the new - Calendar House preserves the wealthy mansion lifestyle of previous centuries, and the Falkirk Wheel is a marvelous feat of modern engineering which connects the two ancient canals running across Scotland.
CONVENIENT FOR YOUR NEEDS
Both Falkirk and Stirling are bustling communities with well-designed town centres, which successfully combine historical roots and architecture with the need for modern shopping and entertainment. The home's location provides easy access to each town centre, and is within a short walking distance of local shops, pubs and dining; parks and childrens' play areas; and a sports complex with swimming pool, conditioning gym, sauna, childrens' soft play room, and 10 pin bowling.
DREAM LOCATION FOR GOLFERS
Right next to the home (just a short chipshot away) is Falkirk golf course, with recently refurbished clubhouse and restaurant. This is a well-established club, with a varied and typically Scottish 18 hole course - a mix of wide and narrow fairways, flat and hilly approaches, elevated tees across water hazards and woodlands, and some great views of the local area. Free rounds of golf can be arranged with the rental, along with use of the clubhouse for drinks and dining. There's lots of other golf courses to try in the local area, and in an hour you can reach the world famous St Andrews Old Course (where the rules of the game were created) and Musselburgh Links (the oldest course in the world).

We could not have had a better experince! The central location made day trips easy. The house is clean and filled all our needs. The conservatory was my favorite room for reading and relaxing, while my husband liked the office. It was nice to have such a lovely home to return to after a day of touring or golf. So much better than a hotel or even a B&B and more affordable. The train station is a 5 minute walk and we enjoyed not having to drive everywhere. There is no doubt we will return.

Our stay was fantastic. The home is cozy, convenient and very comfortable. It was the perfect fit and location for our family and we felt like we were coming home everyday from our journeys in the Falkirk area. The convenience of the train into Edinburgh and Glasgow was spectacular. We would stay again and will highly recommend this home to our friends.

Normally a holiday in Scotland when the weather is as wild and inclement as it was last week would have been well and truly spoiled. However our stay in this bungalow was fantastic, a real home from home experience. The property could not be faulted in any respect and the attention to detail by the owner ensured a really great week. We would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone and will certainly return as soon as possible. Jan & Keith Morris- Carol & Dave Spencer

We are a family of five (with young children) and this house was THE HOUSE TO STAY IN ! It is ideally situated (train station , mariner centre at walking distance), so clean and welcoming!! the 'welcome' basket and multiple attentions including a call to make sure we got there safely or internet WIFI access, etc... It was like being home but on holiday. We were so lucky to be able to experience Scotland in this house !!!!

We returned to our home town Falkirk, to visit our family. We needed a place to host our family & friends over Xmas & New Year. We could not have found a better place. The house was ideal, the owners had prepared it with decorations & with a Xmas hamper kindly waiting on the kitchen table, a decanter of whisky in the study & essentials in the fridge. The weather in Central Scotland was very cold so the warm homely feeling one felt in the place made our stay. We will use this house when we return in the summer, an ideal base with a great location. Its close to all amenities and us being from Falkirk knew the importance of having a good base to visit the big cities like Glasgow or Edinburgh and also near Stirling and the roads to the beautiful Scottish countryside. The only drawback was that the time went so quickly and we had to leave this lovely house. All our family enjoyed their visits and Xmas dinner, made all the better as all the preparations were professionaly left for us i.e. dinner set and Xmas trimmings with a drinks cabinet which we used and replaced. If you want to visit Central Scotland with the knowledge you are coming to a homely place within a friendly environment then look no further.Ideal for a summer visit as well, lovely garden and conservatory and decking with a lovely view of the hills. With it being next to the golf course and across from a relaxing walk in the park, this is the place. Excellent.

This Falkirk property is a wounderful get away from the busy hotels of the cities while having extremely easy access to trains into Edinburgh and Glasgow. The house was perfectly suited for our requirements, well stocked and very comfortable. I have already recommended this property to family. This will be a return destination for us. R. Spencer
